In a building in Boston, Massachusetts, two people were inspecting the place.
"What do you think, sir?"
The building was an abandoned fabric factory located in the private sector.
"It's perfect; tell the real state agent that I want the nearby buildings too."
This was not the only place for sale, but until now there have been no buyers.
"Understood, sir, anything else?"
"Not for now; you can go; I will call you if I need something."
"Very well, sir, goodbye."
"Take care, Mathew."

*Click*
Looking around one more time, I inspect with my other sight, and when I saw that nothing was wrong, I started to secure this place with talismans and runes.
*Huff* "Finally, it's done." It took me three hours to secure it.
{Now I can work in peace}
**********
{[Magic Engine]} This is what I'm creating right now.
This is something that no one has ever created before, and for good reason.
For starters, the materials to create one are not found on earth, maybe on another planet, but here, forget it.
Then is the actual build of the engine; unlike its mechanical counterpart, this one needs to hold and release energy that can be compared with the energy of a nuclear reactor.
"I have the materials, but how do I build this?"
~{I can't build it like a regular mechanical engine}~
In front of me was a white board with many designs of engines, from cars to planes.
"Hmm, so if Earth designs don't work, let's make it alien-like, and for that, I have someone."
*Ring* *Ring* *Ring*
*Bip*
"Isaac?, Are you alright?"
"That's the first thing you ask me, brother."
"Ha, ha, sorry, it is rare for you to call me."
"Well, you see, I need your opinion on something."
"Oh, and what could that be?"
"I'm stuck on how to design an engine; I already tried all the designs available, so..."
"I see. Sure, I can help. Where are you?"
"Boston"
"I will be there shortly."
*Bip*
{Maybe the show or movies didn't mention more, but Kal-El possesses super intellect}
*Zap* *Boom*
*Tap*
*Knock* *Knock*
"Coming..."
*Creack*
When I opened the door, a 6'7 foot tall man with white skin, black short hair, and blue eyes was there. He was wearing a simple grey t-shirt with some blue pants and brown shoes.
"Welcome to my humble workshop, brother."
"Thank you"
*Click*
We approached a large metal table with many strange materials on top, chairs to the sides, and a wide white board in front.
"What kind of engine are you planning to build?"
"An engine that could hold the raw energy of a nuclear reactor"
"!?"
"Don't worry, is not going to be actually nuclear energy."
~{Is worse}~
"Hmm, well, in that case, indeed, the current Earth designs are behind by a few thousand years," he said, starting to hold his chin with his right hand.
"So there's one?" I took a seat on one of the chairs surrounding the large table.
"That depends," he said, starting to look at the materials.
"In what?" I stared at his face.
"It's purpose." He looked back at me.
"Purpose?"
"Yes, if you want an engine for a car, a plane, or a rocket, all of them have different designs."
"Of course, I already know that; I thought that you would have a multi-purpose engine or something."
"Ha,ha,ha, well, sorry to break it to you, little brother, but that doesn't exist."
"Right..."
After discussing for a couple of hours the exact purpose of my engine, he gave me a couple of designs, then he flew off; apparently he had a half-time job.
**********
*Ring* *Ring*
*Bip*
"Yes, detective?"
"I got it."
"Fantastic, where?"
"Göreme, Turkey"
"Thank you so much, Detective."
"It was my job."
*Bip*
"Finally," I looked at the engine that I made that was on the table.

Göreme, Turkey
"Indeed, if I wanted to hide a city, here would be a great place."
I was wearing my full equipment, including my mask, and in front of me was a big rocky valley made out of stone and volcanic rock; around it were mountains too.
{Now the fun part: how to get in without fighting}
"Let's just walk in first." I started to walk into the valley with uneven terrain and pointy rocks.
After a couple of minutes of walking, I could feel something...{Magic}.
I followed that feeling, which guided me into the inner parts of the valley, where little by little the light was less and less visible.
{Hmm?, something is off}~{[Kèter'elyon]}~
My crown illuminated the place, and when that happened, I could see many people in black robes on top of the rocks.
{So, I'm surrounded}~{Let's wait}~
"What is your business here, stranger?"
{This voice, a woman}
"I came here in peace. I want to make a deal with your [High Lord]"
"How do you know that name?" She screamed that question, and I could feel the tension rising.
"I know many things, child, and I strongly suggest not making a decision that could kill your people." The tension escalated more.
"Stop, Melinda"
"!?"
From behind her, a portal appeared, and from within it, a man walked out. He was 6 feet tall, had short dark red hair, tan white skin, and green eyes.
He was wearing a light green robe with unknown runic patterns, along with a medallion in the middle in the form of a sun.
"Highlord!" x10 They immediately kneeled themselves.
"It is an honor to meet you, Highlord." I only did a courtesy bow.
"Rise." They immediately stood up, and I finally saw his face different from when he appeared in the comics, right now; he is in his mid-fourties.
"Come, including you, stranger."
"Thank you." I used raw magic to fly to the portal, and I followed the man.
When I exited the portal, I could finally see the mythical Hidden City, the place where the homomagi secluded themselves at the end of the war.
The city was clean and beautiful; like Azarath, it had a certain Greek vibe with big monuments and buildings made out of white limestone, but the major difference was that this city was technologically advanced.
There were magic lamp posts on the streets, automatons like guards on every corner, and floating cars. It was an interesting combination of modern and old.
"Welcome to Avalon," said the Highlord.
After that, they guided me to the main building, where the highlord surveyed the city. Along the way, many people were curious, which is, after all, rare for people to come.
******
Now in a throne-like room, the highlord was sitting on the big chair-like throne in the middle of the room. On his right side was a man wearing Greek-like armor, and on his left side was a woman.
This woman was beautiful; she looked like she was in her mid-fifties, with long blond hair, big blue eyes, and white skin.
She was wearing a one-piece white dress with her shoulders exposed, but the most ominous thing she was wearing was a crown; this crown was embedded into her spine.
"So, stranger, you say that you wanted to make a deal, which kind?"
"More than a deal, it is a trade. I give you something that will supply energy in this beautiful city for a thousand years, and you give me that woman, along with a promise." I pointed at the woman on his left side.
He squinted his eyes at me, but he didn't say anything.
"Bold claim, very well, if what you offer can do what you claimed, I can fulfill your demands."
"Very well, I will hold to that statement," I pull out from my inventory the newly constructed magic engine.
I saw the warrior on the right reach for the sword on his left side, but the highlord stopped him with a raised hand.
"What is this?" He pointed at the medium-sized engine that was in front of him.
"This is called a magic engine."
The magic engine was complicated and, at the same time, easy to make.
On the inside, it had parts made out of [Mithril], and as for the outside parts, those were made out of [Orichalcum].
Both of those metals were provided by the system, thanks to my [Blacksmith] and [Weaponsmith] jobs.
Along with the ores, the engine was entirely carved with specific runes that absorb, hold, distribute, and recycle the raw magic in the environment.
The flaw is that the lifespan of the engine was cut significantly, after all those ores by themselves could last for at least five thousand or even eight thousand years.
"How does it work?" The highlord asked the man in front of him.
"Once activated, the engine will absorb the raw magic in the environment, and then the magic will be distributed on the magic network of the city, like that crown over there," the man who was wearing robes and a mask explained, and he pointed at the crown that the woman was wearing.
"Hmm..." The highlord didn't fully trust those words, but he knew that he needed to try everything.
"Very well, my research team will take a look at this magic engine."
As soon as he said those words, several people wearing robes entered the room and took the engine.
"Meanwhile, please enjoy your stay."
Then a woman entered the room, and then it started to guide the man wearing the mask outside the throne room.

POV Isaac
{They are really desperate, huh?
~{I wonder how much time it will take for them to give up to try replicate my work.} ~
Two days later...
I'm currently sitting on a bench in a plaza-like space in the middle of the city, watching the people go by with their lives—children, adults, and old people.
I've enjoyed my time here. It's like any other country, but everything is powered and made by magic.
{One could say that they are overly dependent on magic; maybe that's why they opted to sacrifice their own to have these commodities}
"Excuse me, sir."
"Hmm?" I looked at the person who spoke; he had a robe and two security automatons with him.
"Yes, what can I do for you?"
"The Highlord is requesting your presence." He said it in such a tone that it says I don't have a choice.
"Understand, lead the way..." I stood up to follow him.
_______________________________________
The throne room The setup was the same as the first day that I came here; the only difference was the mood.
I could feel frustration, hatred, and ¿curiosity.
{Now that I look at the highlord, he is the one frustrated; as for the warrior, he is looking at me as if I killed his wife, so he is the one who hates me, which means that the one curious is...}
I looked at the woman, and our eyes met; we held stares. I could swear that she smirked.
*cough*
That brought me back, and I looked at the highlord, who was more frustrated than before.
"Sorry, Highlord, you were saying."
*Vein pop*
"The engine was a success, a pretty good piece of engineering."
"Thank you for your praise." I made a small bow.
"How did you make it?" He asked, but in reality, his tone was more of an order than a question.
"Highlord, please, just accept the trade; this could escalate into something that you and I will regret."
I tried to appeal to the logical option, but unfortunately, homo magi are just like regular homosapiens.
"You insolent fool, the highlord, give you an order!" The warrior on his left was the one who spoke first.
{Scare tactics?, b***h, please...}
"Last warning, Highlord, please just accept the trade." My tone became deeper even when the mask disguised my real voice.
*Smirk*
(Sigh){I thought that the younger version of him would be smart, but I guess when you control that much power, you become delusional}
"Very well, [Ein Sòf] (Infinity)"
~{Change of plans}~
As soon as my words were spoken, the crown that was floating on top of my head descented to it, and when it touched my head, an alarming magic pressure was expelled from the room.
This changed the faces of the three individuals in the room.
"Stop!!"
The highlord was the first one to react, this time by putting a barrier in front of him, abandoning the woman and the warrior.
It was too late. I saw no value in him anymore; he was not a wise ruler, so I need to change that for my future plans.
I made a poke-like movement with my hand at the barrier that he created.
*Boom*
*Crash*
The barrier crumbled like glass, and the highlord was pushed backwards to the end of the room, crashing on the wall behind him.
When that happened, the warrior finally reacted.
"Highlord!!!" He grabbed the sword on his left side and unsheathed the blade. Then I could see that the blade was enchanted; it was glowing bright red.
Not only that, his entire armor started to glow bright red, then he charged forward.
"[Grasp Heart]" I just made a grabbing motion with my right hand.
*Argggh*
Mid-charge, he stopped, grabbing his chest, and after a couple of seconds, he fell to the floor.
{Death}~{What a waste}~
I looked, where the highlord crashed and fell.
He stood up from the floor, and when he saw his warrior fall, he felt fear for the first time in forever.
"Guards!!!" He screamed his tone frightful.
*Thud*
*Tap* *Tap* *Tap*
Many people, along with automatons, came into the room, and the highlord regained his arrogance.
"Capture him!!" He orders his people.
"I will not say this twice. Those who wish to live get out of here." My voice carried the power of the system; it was deep and menacing.
Some of the people immediately were frightened; unfortunately, when you follow the crowd, you make bad decisions.
"Hurry up, capture him!"
"Yes, highlord!!" x15
(Sigh)A shame." I looked at the woman, and then, with a motion of my hand, the crown that was on her head desintegrated. She was shocked.
"Go outside; make sure that innocent people don't get involved in this."
She put herself together very quickly and wasted no time exiting the room.
"Stop, don't let her escape!" Some tried to stop her, but I was not going to allowed that.
"[Earth Hands]" From the floor, a bunch of hands made of earth captured all the people, and automatons.
"Useless!!" He grabbed the medallion on his chest and pointed at me.
"Die, then!!!"
*Tsszz* A beam of raw magic manifested from his medallion.
I just let the beam reach me; unfortunately for the people around me, they all were desintegrated along with the automatons.
As for me, well, my crown absorbed all that raw magic.
"What!!?" He screamed at the top of his lungs; he was baffled and shocked at how, who, and what was happening, along with him getting paralyzed by fear.
"Here, let me return it to you." I pointed with my right hand at him.
"[Zero]" From the tip of my finger, the raw magic that the crown absorbed was gathered and launched at him.
*Humm* A low-frequency sound was made.
"No, wait, let's talk!" He tried to speak or dodge, but none of that matters; my beam was faster.
*Booom*
Only a giant hole on the wall remained where the highlord was standing.
