Chapter 34: OmniCraftsman...

[Awakening Body Special Trait]

[Tough Skin: Decrease physical damage by 50% and Magic damage by 30%]

{Agh, my body, it itches horribly}

[Awakening Mind Special Trait]

[Parallel thinking: two minds are better than one]

{Huh?} ~{Huh?}~

[Awakening Soul Special Trait]

[Soul Shield: Decrease Soul Type Damage by 50% and Soul Possession by 50%]

{Argh...now the itchy is more depper}

~{Interesting}~

After a couple of minutes of torture, the pain and itchiness finally stopped. Now the most important thing was to check the benefits of my traits.

{So what is parallel thinking}

~{Something like split personality?}~

[Not quite.The skill allows you to think two different thoughts simultaneously. Making more efficient use of skills and information processing].

{Ah, so if I think the weather is good}

~{I'm hungry}~

"Fascinating"

**********

It's been two days since, and I'm still getting used to the parallel thinking trait. The positive is that I can have productive discussions with myself.

"Maybe I'm going crazy."

"What's that?"

"Nothing, Matthew, please continue."

This is Matthew, my "partner", I hired him to be the front cover of my investments. He is a 6-foot-tall African-American man in his mid-thirties.

Right now we are in the studio, or a room that I have configured to be a studio. He is giving me the usual report of revenue and possible investments.

"Like I was saying, the opportunity to invest in this company is good, according to the investment team."

"How much?"

~{His been pushing it for days now, why?} ~

"Eight hundred"

"What's the name of the company?"

"S.T.A.R. Labs"

"Very well, do it, but let me ask you something."

~{A hunch or bribe?}~

"Yes, sir.?"

"Why do you want to invest in this company?"

"I am... sir, the investme-"

"Don't make me ask again, Matthew; we have known each other for four years now."

(sigh)

"I had a hunch that this research company is going to be big in the future."

{Bingo}

~{Interesting}~

"Good. From now on, trust more in those instincts, and for that, I will give you half of the profits to invest in anything you want; don't let me down, Matthew."

"Thank you, sir, and I will not."

"Now go, and remember, I will not be available for a month, so take care of my family and the investments".

"Yes, sir."

He stood up from the chair, and he exited through the door.

*Click*

{Finally alone}

~{Is time}~

********

Every dimensional traveler knows that every dimension has an owner, be it a god or a devil, and only a couple of them are ownerless.

Earth shares many dimensions; there's many ways to travel to them, so the real problem is not how to get there; no, the real problem is the time dilatation, for example, the one I'm aiming for.

This dimension is ownerless; the reason for that is because it was a dimension of an older god that was killed in battle a long time ago, and nobody reclaimed it afterward.

It has a T.D. of 1d/1y, meaning that one day on earth is equal to one year there, so the reason that I went for all the trouble to find the fountain was tied to this dimension.

Also, it helps that I became immortal; now I'm not afraid of dying of a random disease or for something that I ate.

I only told my parents that I would be unavailable for a couple of weeks; as for Arella and Raven, I told them that I'm going to study in one of the dimensions, but Nayru can communicate with me anywhere, anytime, if anything happens.

"Ok, it's time." I'm facing one of my living room walls.

"[Kèter'elyon]"

{First, trace the form of a door with my rune carver} I put my magic in the rune carver, then careful, I trace the form of a big door on the wall.

~{Next, put a rune of space in the upper middle of the door}~

After finishing carving the form of the door, I pull out the rune and place it on it.

{Lastly, the chant, and I need to knock on the door three times}

"[Aboleo Extum Cavium Du Etermas]"

After finishing my chant, the door started to glow up, so I approached...

*Knock*

*Knock*

*Knock*

When I finish knocking on the door, it opens by itself, and on the other side, I can see a forest. I can see that the day and night are changing extremely fast.

{Why is there always a forest...}

I walked through the door to a new adventure.

______________________________________

Day 1

Now inside the forest, my time has adjusted to this dimension; now the day and night don't pass that fast, and the proof is that it is still daytime.

The first thing I did was check my surroundings.

{Nothing but strange plants and tall, unidentified trees.}

~{I wonder how tall they are.}~

"I need to find a base or create one myself."

The more I explore this place, the more alien it feels. Many wild fruits Luckily, I haven't encountered any animals yet.

{I wonder how they will look.}

~{I hope they aren't hostile}~.

By the end of the day, I had a shelter—a huge cave on one of the big trees.

_____________________________________

Day 5

I have the grace to finally say "Hi" to one of the locals, a huge bear-like creature; it has a thick fur coat along with some long claws on each paw.

*Raaghhww*

{[Boost]+[Flame Pillar]}

~{[Minor Protection](Me)}~

*Hugghhh*

*Raawwrgh*

Thanks to this encounter, I have the chance to see the utility of parallel thinking. I can focus on two different things at once, increasing my efficiency.

By the end of the day, I will have killed at least ten of those animals. This is not going to be a peaceful trip.

______________________________________

Day 16

I had encountered many more "locals" since that day, wierd-looking animals; no humanoids yet.

Some are aggressive, and some are just territorial. The difference is how much they chase you.

*Ghiiiack*

{F**k, not again...}

~{[Repulsive Blast]}~

Like it or not, this situation is also helping me to hone my skills and senses. In here, you can't sleep well or eat in peace; there's always some predador on the hunt.

*Giiha..*

{Ha..ha..ha.. finally death}

I've not forgotten my reason for coming here, but I think "Greeting" the "locals" It has its own merits.

____________________________

Day 32

I have been exploring, and I can tell that this dimension is small; maybe that's why it was never reclaimed.

It only comprehends a forest, a small ocean, and some islands. Maybe almost the same size as Azarath, if not a little bigger.

{I wonder how I can claim this dimension as mine. }

~{Maybe by finding the source of power in this dimension}~

__________________________________

Day 68

I have officially "greeted" all the "locals" in the forest, and I have tried every fruit that I have encountered.

The result: some near-death experiences, and explosive diarrhea. Fun stuff.

Like the old homosapiens, I have been gathering information about poisonous fruits and not really tasty fruits.

"Urghh"

*Spit*

"Another failure"

{Ok, fruit with strange swirls, eliminated from the (you can eat list)}

~{It looks strangely familiar...hmm, oh well}~

__________________________________

Day 120

Now that the "locals" ignore me, that's good progress; I can finally focus on my magic and runic studies.

Unfortunately for them, I have also compiled a list of tasty "locals,", so a few fights are necessary.

But for the most part, I have started with my rune studies by comprehending the elements that compose this place, by watching time pass, and by seeing the "locals" interact with each other.

After all, order and chaos reside within every living creature, just as life and death do.

_______________________________________

Day 240

I'm part of this ecosystem now, and the "locals" treat me as one more "local.".

With that came peace within my territory. Of course, from time to time I hunt the tasty "locals," but I don't actively explore anymore.

I have been engrossed with rune crafting to the point of leveling the skill up by five levels (lvl. 16). Although it doesn't seem much, on earth, that progress would have taken me at least a year.

The reason for that is that I don't have worries here; I'm at peace with nature and with myself.

{I didn't know that I was stressing myself out like that.}

______________________________________

Year 1

Finally, a year has passed here; it feels like only yesterday that I entered this place.

~Master, can you hear me?~

{Nayru, Hi, what's up?}

~Raven, is asking me to ask you how you are doing there?~

{Tell her that I'm doing fine, and I will bring her souvenirs when I exit this place}.

~For Nayru too?~

{Yeah, for you too}

~Yey!~

"Well, let's continue with this."

Year 6

[Rune Crafting (Lvl. 20)]

I have finally maxed out my skill, and with it came a bunch of surprises; for example, I can now write runes in midair, making me essentially a [Rune Mage].

I have also taken the time to select and level up other professions.

Job: [Enhancer (lvl. 30)] [Scribe(lvl. 20)]

[Rune Crafting (lvl. 20)] [Cook(lvl.30)] [Superior Cook (lvl. 20)] [Chef(lvl. 10)]

 [Blacksmith(lvl. 30)] [Tailor(lvl. 20)]

[Craftsman(lvl. 10)]

I'm still learning more professions and things.

[Scribe(lvl. 20)] [Rune Crafting (lvl. 20)]

[Superior Cook (lvl. 20)] [Tailor(lvl. 20)]

[Potion Maker (lvl. 20)] [Enchanter(lvl. 20)]

[Expert Jobs]

[Talisman Crafting(lvl.10)] [Alchemist(lvl. 10)]

[Magic Craftsman (lvl. 10)]

[Master Jobs]

[Master Chef (lvl. 5)] [Master Craftsman (lvl. 5)]

[Master Alchemist (Lvl. 5)]

[Master Magic Craftsman (lvl. 5)]

[All requirements have been completed.]

{Huh?}

~{what's happening?}~

When I finally finished all the jobs available for me, the system suddenly acted up.

[Combining Every Job Into One Single Mythical Job; Granting The Job OmniCraftsman]

[Congratulations on This Impossible Achievement]

"So, I'm an OmniCraftsman now, huh?"

_____________________________

Year 15, Day 5

It has been five days since I became an OmniCraftsman, and the benefits are great.

[OmniCraftsman: Increase Crafted Item Quality by 50% and Increase Quantity of Potions, Runes, and Talismans by 100%]

So, now I can craft two to three consumables for the price of one.

Leaving that aside, I have finally begun the study of my magic [the Supreme Crown], and I'm going to test the limits of it.

Chapter 35: Artifacts...

Year 18, Day 15

"Like I thought my magic was only mimicking what I assumed was magic on earth." The reason for me to reach that conclusion was because I experimented with it.

[Supreme Crown] doesn't possess the drawbacks of the magic on earth, which are bad luck and health problems, and I also do not pay any price for some major spells.

When I ask the system, Why is that?, it responds with, [Magic on Earth is a scarce resource due to the Universal Laws limiting its use, but the system is above those laws]

{Pretty cool response, not gonna lie}

[Thank you]

"....."

__________________________________________

Year 20, Day 5

I've been practicing using magic without chanting, and it had an interesting result.

{Move...move}

*Fiiiith*

*Crash*

(Sigh)

Apparently, without using any chant, it is like using raw, infinite, and uncontrollable energy to do something for you.

The result: either it gets destroyed or it gets erased from existence.

"I need to practice more..."

___________________________________

Year 24, Day 19

"Only six more years, huh?"

I've been enjoying my stay here; I woke up, hunted, ate, practiced magic, and crafted some things, and I will do that all over again tomorrow.

{I know this can't continue forever; I have people to care for, promises to honor, and a world to take care of}.

_______________________________________

Year 27, Day 267

*Crash*

*Giaghh*

An animal like Tiger was getting tossed here and there like he was made out of paper, crashing into trees and rocks; it doesn't matter where he couldn't stop it.

*Fiiith*

*Crash*

*Rawwrg*

Finally, after hitting the ground hard, he could no longer move; he was dead.

*Creack*

From the forest, a man wearing a blue robe with grey gloves, grey boots with golden runic inscriptions, and a dark mask with a blue hood with the same golden runic patters steps out.

"Finally, death, you cost me many sleepless nights."

You can't recognize his voice; it overlaps with the voices of many creatures, but you can still make sense of what he was saying.

He approached the animal, and with a flick of his hand, the creature separated itself—bones, skin, innards—it was grotesque, but he didn't even flinch.

"At least your body had good materials."

[Name: Isaac Kent (lvl. 56)]

"Hmm, I leveled up, right? I had a quest from you."

**********

In a clear part of the forest, an extraordinary camp was there; it had a studio, a kitchen, a bedroom, an anvil, and even an alchemy room. It looks like it doesn't belong here.

Coming back to my camp, I went directly to the kitchen. I put the meat on my homecrafted fridge, and the rest I put in some racks to dry.

{Hmm, I finally have more control over the system magic; it's still a little rough, but it will improve} I took a seat on one of the chairs in my studio.

"Two more years; I'm starting to miss them, hah."

{Hmm...what to pick}

~{what does Arcane Cloak do?} ~

[Arcane Cloak: Cover your hands in raw energy (increase spell damage by 30%) (last 10 minutes, cool down 5 minutes)]

{Interesting...}

~{I don't need Levitation, so thats out. Hmm, what is Arcane Ward?} ~

[Arcane Ward: Use raw magic to protect yourself (decrease spell damage by 50% and physical damage by 30%).

[Cooldown 1 second]

{Ok, is decided then, I choose Arcane Distortion, Arcane Cloak, and Arcane Ward}

[Confirmed]

"Lastly, the thing I was waiting for a long time, the artifacts..."

[Generating Available Artifacts]

[Wheel of Elements (Mythical)] (2,000,000

[Eye of Magnus (Mythical)] (3,000,000

[Solomon Ring(Mythical)] (4,000,000)

[Staff of Domination (Mythical)] (5,000,000)

"F**k"

{Those are some expensive pieces of equipment}

~{I guess they are worth the price.}~

"Let me see the stats of all of them."

[Solom Ring: The mythical ring of a king that managed to bind all the demons in hell. (Ancient Covenant: allows the user to ask for a hell assistant once per day without paying any price)]

[Eye of Magnus: The mythical globe-like eye of the first Mage God] [Magic Generator: The artifact generates raw magic that can be used once per day (empowers any spell by 1000%)]

[Wheel of Elements: A mythical artifact created by the Elemental King for his son (Elemental Buff: Once every hour you can spin the wheel, and depending where the arrow lands is the element that will buff) (Increase Elemental Damage by 200%)]

[Staff of Domination: The curse mythical artifact gifted to the most loyal of subjects (Blessings of Molag'Baal: Increase Spell, Physical, and Elemental Damage by 100%)] (Soul Eater: Can increase the effects permanently by consuming 10% of souls.)

"Wow, indeed worth the price, but I can see clear disadvantages too. The Solomon ring and the eye of Magnus are artifacts that even Gods will want, so be better prepared to be haunted all your life."

"As for the wheel of elements, if the arrow lands in an element that you don't have, the spin is wasted, but it also doesn't say that I need to spin every time I use it."

"As for the Staff, it is an evil artifact, and I don't want to have the Lords of Order and the Justice League dark up my ass."

"So the choice has been made; I would like to purchase the Wheel of Elements."

[Confirmed]

In front of me, a giant wheel appeared. It was made out of what I think is obsidian, and it was carved in detail. The carves represent the elements and their runic names.

In the middle of the wheel, it had a long arrow made out of the same material as the wheel.

[Would you like to bind the Wheel of Elements to you?]

"Huh? Ahm, yes?"

[Confirmed]

Suddenly the wheel started to shine, and little by little it began to transform into dust that was coming straight to me.

*Arrgggh*

I could feel my soul getting carved by something, then it stopped.

[Soul Binding Complete]

"F**k, thanks, I guess"
