Chapter 262: THE WEDDING PREPARATIONS 2

An excited grin played on Magdalene's face as she lay on the bed with her hands folded unto her stomach.

"Yes!" She Screamed in excitement followed by a happy laugh. She jumped out of her bed swirling excitedly. It was dawn, the birds were chirping happily by the window side. The sun was already up and smiling 'It's her wedding day'. Magdalene couldn't believe it The last few days had passed like a blur to her.

Just like Anastasia said, Lucas hadn't come to see her at all. She badly missed his presence and would sometimes stand by the window to catch any sight of him but she never did. She had been confined in her room for days and her companions were the maids who always came to assist her, Theodora, Belle and some few other ladies whom she usually had tea with. Making acquaintance with those women were extremely important as the next head lady to be, she had to keep up with their fake and pretentious smiles. It was utterly exhausting.
