Chapter 54: THE DANCE

As the attention of everyone drifted away from Magdalene she was able to be the properly, but she could still feel the eyes of many on her once in a while. Not many could Walk up to her because there was a threatening look on Lord Lucas face.

The soiree got to the point of a dance and Magdalene could see couples partnering up and stepping into the dance hall. She felt lonely all by herself , Lord Lucas was surrounded with a group of people trying to lick his boot so she hadn't had time to talk to him yet. Katherine hurriedly walked towards the Lord and asked him for a dance even though the act was embarrassing, because it was a man's duty to ask a lady for a dance but she couldn't take that chance feeling insecure, she wanted to prove and remind everyone her position as the Lord's fiancee. It was no secret that she felt threatened with the arrival of Magdalene.
