Chapter 25: THE RIDE IN THE DARK

No one dare say a word as they all stare in fright. Lucas nonchalantly. went back to his seat. Magdalene was still dumbfounded as she stared at him as if seeing a ghost.

"You just killed someone" She said almost in a whisper but he said nothing .

Not long after their meal was brought, Magdalene was having nausea and even eating was a problem at this point after seeing such a frightening sight.

Many people had already left the stall for fear of angering the Lord. Lucas ate comfortably like nothing just happened.

Wanting to drink blood, he signalled the stall owner to come over and the lady hurriedly did.

"Get me blood" He said to the woman who hurriedly left and brought it a while later.

She handed a chalice of blood to him and he gulped it in one go. Lucas frowned when he thought the thirst was different.

"It's mixed" He said with a frown.

The lady who had been watching his reaction and noticed he knew that she had poisoned his drink wanted to run away.
