"Then I'll try something else," Eryx says, charging in with a smirk. His fists crackle with a mix of lightning and fire, and he leaps into the air, slamming his knuckles down onto the beast's metallic head. A shockwave of lightning arcs through its body, short-circuiting some of its mechanisms, and the creature stumbles, gears grinding. But it doesn't go down.

"Not so easy to bring down, are you?" Eryx mutters, sidestepping as another creature lunges at him.

"Let us handle the defense," Nox shouts, planting his massive Guardian Bulwark shield in the ground. The six-star shield gleams as it activates, creating a barrier that deflects a powerful swipe from one of the beasts. The creature is thrown back by the force of its own attack, stumbling into its allies.
