Courts are ranked according to the rank of the presiding judge.
1. Lower core court
This court is presided over by a judge at the illusory core stage and core condensing stage. They handle cases concerning parties from the body refinement stage to the foundation establishment. This is the busiest court.
2. Upper core court
This court is presided over by a judge at the core refining and core completion stage. The cases handled are usually those affecting those at the late foundation stage, illusory core stage and core condensing stage.
3. Superior core court
The superior core court is presided over by judges at the peak of the core formation realm. They are already at the core completion stage and have a gold core or a purple core. The rest even though they are at the core completion stage can only be upper-court judges. They handle cases that affect all core formation members across all ranks. They assist in conducting the test that involves the promotion of lower and upper court judges at the peak of the core refining stage. They also sign off on the ranking of sects and families who are moving from unranked to rank 5.
4. Outer palace court
The outer palace court is presided over by a judge at the outer palace realm. The cases they preside over are usually of members above the core condensing case up to the outer palace realm. They mediate sect level disputes of the lower levels i.e rank 5 and rank 4. They also conduct the test of the promotion of members into the superior core court. They approve of the promotion or demotion of rank 5 and rank 4 sects/families.
information on the rest of the courts will be added as the story progresses and people in those courts start showing up
