Chapter 82: Ichidaisan High Vs. Yakushi High.
The Match between Yakushi High Vs. Ichidaisan High started.
Everyone was ready in their positions.
Rei came to the mound.
Jersey #5 and #4 came to the batter's box and were immediately struck out.
Miyagawa came to the batter's box next. 'W-Why is he so aggressive?'
Before he even knew It, he was struck out.
Relieved Rei walked back to the dugout.
"REI FUJIKAWA DIDN'T LET A RUN THROUGH", remarked the announcer seeing Rei's pitching.
In Yakushi's Dugout.
"He's having a good start", said Raizou.
"Well, when does he not?", said Sanada.
Back in the field.
1st inning, bottom.
Amahisa took the mound.
"Ichidai ace's is taking the mound first!", remarked a person in the audience since this is seen rarely.
Akiba came to bat.
'Ahh, I got an extra on the field. Pretty easy start I guess', thought Amahisa analyzing Akiba as he pitched.
"Che…", Akiba clicked his tongue as he was struck out.
Masuda came to bat next and made it to the 1st base safely.
Mishima came next and hit a bunt reaching the 1st base safely. Masuda reached the 2nd base safely.
Raichi came to the batter's box next.
'He might be a bit troublesome. What an aura he's emitting.', thought Amahisa whistling as he pitched.
"HAHAHAHA…I finally get to hit off a national pitcher", said Raichi in the batter's box taking his position. ''Laugh as much as you can or hit a homer. I bet this way you'll catch his attention', This is what Rei was saying to me. I guess I'll have to do it though I don't mind at all', thought Raichi.
The ball came near Raichi, and he hit it toward the back home screen.
"HAHAHAHA…", said Raichi running through the bases.
"Is Amahisa Ok?", said Ichidaisan's players concerned in their dugout.
On the mound, Amahisa had his head lowered. His cap was covering his disappointed face. 'It definitely hurts to have a 1st year hit a homer off of me, but that batter was definitely talented'. He sighed.
The game resumed and Rei came to the batter's box.
Amahisa smiled seeing Rei come to the mound. 'if it isn't that pitcher. Come to think of it after we win, I should go ask for his name. I heard he's a talented batter but let's see'.
The next thing he knew, Rei hit a homer as well.
Rei jogged to home plate after touching all the bases.
Yakushi's dugout cheered for Rei's homerun.
Amahisa was shocked to see Rei's batting.
Ryou came to the batter's box next.
"BALL 2", said the umpire.
"Having 2 home runs simultaneously hit off of Amahisa must have taken a toll on him mentally", commented the announcer.
Back in the Field.
'Damn it' thought Amahisa struggling to throw a strike and because of that, he had walked Ryou.
Ichidai's catcher called for a timeout to relax Amahisa and then he continued pitching.
Abe and Yonehara came next to the batter's box and were struck out.
In this inning, Yakushi scored 4 runs.
In Yakushi's Dugout.
"Owah!!, The glare he's giving to us is so creepy", said Sanada shivering.
"Who?", said Raizou.
Sanada pointed toward Amahisa who was sending glares toward them.
"HAHA…He must be super mad since we scored 4 runs off of them", said Raizou.
"Don't be so cheeky yet. Amahisa still hasn't gotten in his rhythm. We should score as much as we can before he gets in it", said Rei.
"Who was being cheeky?", said Raizou pouting.
Raichi on the side was laughing at his father being scolded.
"How about no dinner?", said Raizou giving Raichi a glare.
"DAMN! FATHER", screamed Raichi.
Back in the field.
During the 2nd inning.
Ichidai couldn't score anything.
Yakushi also scored no runs in this inning.
3rd inning.
Again, Ichidai couldn't score because of Rei's exceptional pitching.
Yakushi scored 2 more runs since obviously Rei and Raichi were batting.
'You guys should calm down a little', thought Amahisa pissed as he struck out the next 3 batters.
"It's a rocky start for Amahisa", commented the Announcer.
During 4-6 innings, Amahisa and Rei kept shutting down each other and each team couldn't score.
In Yakushi's Dugout.
"So intense", commented Raichi.
"You feel it", said Sanada.
Raichi nodded
"As you should", said Sanada. 'I have to say it was a miracle that Rei transferred to our team because if he didn't it would have been challenging to compete against a team like this, especially in finals. Though there's no playing time for me anymore. Hahaha…'.
7th inning.
"ICHIDAI IS LEFT SCORELESS AGAIN!!", screamed the Announcer shocked.
In Ichidai's Dugout.
The atmosphere was intense.
"Amahisa if this continues, we will lose", said Jersey #5.
"I know. God damn it", muttered Amahisa. 'I guess I have to try throwing more sliders'.
Back in the field.
Miyagawa, Hoshida, and Sasaki came to bat next and were struck out.
Amahisa gave Rei a glare. Seeing the glare Rei smirked at him as walked back to the dugout.
Moriyama, Akiba and Masuda were struck out by Amahisa's Slider.
"His Slider is pretty sick", commented Rei in the dugout. 'I think he's starting to show his big guns'.
"AMAHISA IS STARTING TO SHOW HIS TRUE ABILITIES", said the announcer.
'This Announcer is really into this game', thought Rei.
In the 8-9 innings.
Both teams shut each other down. And from then on, both teams remained scoreless.
In Ichidai's Dugout.
"DAMN IT!", said Hoshida throwing his batting helmet on the floor.
The team was a sobbing mess.
But on the bright side, Yakushi made it to the finals.
