Chapter 141: Chapter CXLI - Answering Riddles

"No need to scream like a little girl, young man; I'm not here to harm you... maybe..." The voice rang out around him. Marcus began looking around, unable to locate the source of the words.

"Who are you?" Marcus asked as he looked around.

"Me?" The voice appeared right beside his ear, causing Marcus to flinch and look into the fog, "I'm the gatekeeper, who are you?" The voice resumed, this time from above him.

Marcus looked up but couldn't see anything but fog, "I'm Viscount Nobody, Guild Master of The Phantom Enigmas; nice to meet you, Mr. Gatekeeper... Is there something you can do about this fog..? I can't see you..." The young man said nervously.

The mysterious voice began laughing uncontrollably; Marcus could hear the being rolling around, crushing pebbles nearby. He approached but saw nothing.

"No, I cannot do anything about the fog; only you can do that, Human." The voice said in between laughs.
