Hello, Author here. I decided to write this novel because of my love for alchemy in cultivation novels. while there will be every cultivation-related plot point going on in the series, it will mostly focus on Alchemy. I tried to make the MC clueless about cultivation at first, and that came off as being dumb initially. however, that changes within the first 10 chapters. Please do give it a read, especially if you like Alchemy as I do.

While the story felt like yet another average cultivation-mmo story at the beginning, it very quickly took a life of its own and shown how deep the author had planned the world and the plot. It is very interesting to follow the protagonist as he learns about the many aspects of both cultivation and Alchemy, and there are many currents and mysteries moving in the background. With the high release rate as a bonus, this has easily become one of my favorite web-novels.

I started this book as a third book to keep me occupied while my other books updated. Boy am I glad I started reading this! it's got a somewhat generic beginning, however it quickly becomes something more. The author is doing an amazing job with world building and character development so far and the author is open to suggestion. There are twists and turns that make this book really enjoyable and I like reading this much more than my other books currently. This would be a perfect 5 out of 5 except for one minor thing that happens in the middle of the book but it's literally only one chapter and I'm very glad that I kept reading.

Dropping it at ch 146. The MC is way too gullible for me to continue reading. I was hoping for some development but nope. Nothing. I mean, just think for a second that you get "God"-level talent. The person should be excited, scared, and EMOTIONAL! But our MC here feels absolutely nothing. It's like the guy is brain-dead or something. Even after figuring out he can make $25k in less than a month, he doesn't realize the gravity of what's at stake and keeps asking questions with an unbelievable amount of naivety. He's like a little baby who's just the most innocent, pure soul out there. And somehow still alive...

The mc starts out op and gets more op. He has all the cliches. The ability to teleport, the ability to hide from people way more then powerful then him, the ability to consume basically anything to level up, an overpowered familiar, and the ability to advance in alchemy at super fast speed. It’s just boring.

I'm really liking this novel, reading chapter 427 now, but the story really suffers from how dumb and stupid is the main character. How can he be smart to the point of speculating that the video game world is real but when he eats a best blood and his metal element gets boosted he keep thinking "Hmm what happened? how did my metal technic got stronger?" how did he not try to get other beasts blood to increase his affinity with other elements, maybe that not even how it works but he should at least had realized how he got the boost and tried to do the same with the other elements.

I just want to say a few words about the main character. He’s an incredibly foolish character who somehow manages to create problems for himself where none exist. Despite the fact that almost all of his issues could be solved in a few hours (or at most a day) by reading information on a forum, he deliberately ignores this and always finds an excuse. His naivety is overly exaggerated and feels unnatural. I believe this is either a problem with the author or just their "style," because in another one of their novels, where the main character has a system with access to practically ANY information, he still remains hopelessly naive and foolish, not trying to improve even a little. At some point, the character seems to get better, but then he returns to his previous naivety, even though the author tries to disguise it under various pretexts. The guy literally has the ability to become the best at anything and understand things 100%, but he chooses to solve all his problems through the system without even trying to learn. And considering his nearly endless lifespan, this looks even more ridiculous. In short, this is the author’s style, and you shouldn’t expect it to change anytime soon.

Very solid novel all around. Nothing ground breaking for a while, but an enjoyable read. If you are reading this after *that* happens and are considering dropping it, I recommend you don’t. That’s when the world building really begins to take shape. I decided to drop it but came back begrudgingly due to a sheer lack of anything interesting to read, and I certainly do t regret it.

Very slow paced but well thought out story. I would like to see some more relationships between characters though and MC should not always act plutonic to every female. I am not asking for a harem or relationship but his behaviour is often distanced from everyone. Also does anyone know what happened to the cheaters? A few days ago it was 20 chapters in Privilege - no it seems as if there are many more chapters that are locked?

This is a good book, but I do not understand why the MC is so dumb and naive? The guy seem oblivious to the simplest common sense. He goes from breaking through quickly in the first 100 chapter to barely breaking through next 100 chapters. This novel is really good, but it be so much better if the MC was smart. He doesn’t have to be a genius, as long as he’s not such a noob.

I just got to chapter 768 so I'm writing a second review. This novel is a solid 3, it's an interesting read but it's a slightly bad novel along that fine line where it's bad, but not bad enough for you to drop the novel if you like the concept. The biggest problem with this novel does not follow the classic showing instead of telling, this novel in fact tells as much as it shows and much of the story, even deep and emotional moments are told with summaries instead of actually written and described. A precise example is "Alex spoke for 15 minutes at the grave" when he was visiting a loved one's grave or "Alex explained about the pill", summaries like these are in fact the majority of this novel and this results in the MC being the only character with a little development except the only secondary character to have some development, a minor and almost unimportant antagonist who was killed in the next chapter. The second biggest problem is that for a long time the protagonist was a little stupid and had some attacks of extreme stupidity but around chapter 600 this seems to have been reduced to almost nothing. In conclusion, this is a novel to kill time and worth reading if you have nothing better to read. You can think of this novel as the fast food version of a novel, a quick and decent read, but of low quality.

I'm currently on chapter 202 and even though the novel has already passed 1000, this review will mainly be my opinion on whether it's worth reading this novel or not, so 200 chapters should be more than enough. So far I'm enjoying reading it, it's no masterpiece, but it's a decently cultivated novel without the most annoying problems that this type of novel usually has. If you like online cultivation and are looking for something like that, this novel is a slightly worse alternative but still good and interesting. Now, despite being a story worth reading, this novel has some very frustrating problems and that's why I'm giving it 3.4 stars and these problems remain the same from chapter 1 to where I am currently (202). The first of these problems is that the MC is a bit stupid. Not much, but he has a general attitude that frequently reminds the reader that this MC is certainly a little less intelligent than the average. The second problem is the interaction and development of characters, which is practically non-existent. Several characters were introduced, but none have much presence or development, even important characters such as the MC's family, mentors and friends are poorly developed, none of them seem alive, they are all clearly characters in the protagonist's story. Even the protagonist doesn't have much personality or is well developed. The third problem is the World Background, even worse than the character development. The author basically created a generic farming world, made one or two bad attempts at setting the scene, and left it at that. These three problems are really big and guarantee that this novel will never be anything more than average, but average novels can still be good reads and I recommend this one for Cultivation Online readers.

I just started this novel am currently on chapter 117 so I'll give you my honest exposure, the MC's life on earth is exposed infinitesimally.. his friends are practically one dimensional as the is no special bond between them.. that is why I believe that if the author gave them more exposure it would have ranked higher.. is it like cultivation online well no but they are similar.. but it's quite common for one novel to inspire the other.. it's good but please expose the MC more in terms of development.. people expect him to be cunning but remember he's a farm boy.. i give it 4.6 stars, the webnovel ranking is some what unfair because based on its quality and growth this novel should be in the top 20

Starts off well enough. Then takes a big dip in the 440-500 chapters. The MC is too naive and trusting. It gets to a point where it’s frustrating to read. I had to drop after a random saint level cultivator starts “training” him. It’s the forced training troupe. Followed by thanking him that I cannot stand. I would recommend this to people that like naive characters that never learn and like the author to give the MC pointless plot points to hinder them. As an example, he is training while still being injured and missing an arm… it’s frustrating.

I was initially really excited to read about a novel focused on alchemy; few authors would have the courage to write about pill-making instead of depicting bloody action-packed battles and adventure. However, despite being quite an enjoyable novel to read, I ended up disappointed. The novel isn't 100% focused on alchemy, and the title is extremely misleading. The protagonist is definitely an alchemist, but that's not the story's main focus. After reading 400 chapters I realized... In reality, this is the kind of generic novel where the protagonist has the ability to learn anything very easily due to their high talent, so instead of solely focusing on alchemy, he waste time learning about numerous other things like formations, swords and fighting techniques. In truth, I'd say alchemy only comprises 25% of the entire novel. 50% of the time is spent in battles and learning about fighting and formations. The remaining 25% is allocated to other things like relationships and daily life. Another detail that bothers me a lot is the protagonist's irrational stupidity and naivety. Being a country bumpkin living on a farm far from the big city and having lived away from school isn't reason enough for Alex to act so childishly and naively. Only a 5-year-old child would do the things him do. But Alex are an adult in college. People without experience of social interaction don't act like him. This constantly takes me out of the story. Worse, in the first few chapters, no one tries to take advantage of the protagonist; everyone he meet is trustworthy and good, which doesn't make sense in a cultivation world. It takes almost 100 chapters or more for any consequences to occur. By then, I was so frustrated that I almost gave up on continuing to read. It's completely different from reading Cultivation Online for example, where the explanations for the protagonist's naivety and childishness makes a lot of sense. Not to mention, the author obviously drew too much inspiration from Cultivation Online. There are so many similarities that it almost becomes plagiarism, but I can assure you it's not. On the other hand, it's quite a fun novel to read—the plot about the real world, the mystery surrounding the game, what happened to humanity, and the protagonist's actions—all quite interesting things. I really like that Alex has a good heart and doesn't desire to kill or do evil things for selfish reasons. It's refreshing amidst the sea of novels where all the protagonists are cold and kill without hesitation. Ultimately, this novel would be perfect if that scene where the protagonist receives two masters had never happened. If the protagonist didn't waste time learning combat and instead focused solely on alchemy, it would be incredible. I wanted to see Alex become an alchemist step by step, rise in the sect hierarchy, become increasingly famous until he catch the attention of the sect leader. Then he could create increasingly incredible pills and travel the world using the alchemist skills to help countless people. Discovering new recipes, creating new recipes. A talented alchemist who would need unorthodox means to protect himself. Taking steps ever higher toward the peak. That would indeed be the Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy.

Writing Quality ***** very good Stability of Updates ***** very good Story Development ** disappointing Character Design * bad World Background **** good I gave low marks because of a golden rule that I follow very diligently, I don't read anything when the main character has sentient clones. I'm disgusted by this. I was flustered by the time invested, and with the note that it ended for "me", I really liked the more positive theme of the book, and I was very flustered that it ended in a depressing way for "me".

This is one of the best novels I have ever read. The twists and turns after chapter 450 are incredible to say the least. Believe me guys if you persist till around chapters 450-550 you will definitely find it worth it.
