Very good. It's like L.A Noire except in a traditional chinese setting with a transmigrated MC. Lots of depth and room to grow Decent characters Great plot Hope this one gets picked.
The best novel from the trial read section, has all the elements of a nice fantasy novel paired with a detective aspect and a decent story plot. No overpowered or arrogant main character. you will not be disappointed.
actually a pretty decent story it's funny and deep hopefully, it gets selected so I can make this my new fix replacing Lord of mysteries since it's end
This is a good novel, but webnovel will still drop it if it doesn't get enough support. They basically go for the quantity instead of quality! This is super sad because webnovel could choose to release the highly rated good novels. Anyway support the novel if you want it to get translated. It's interesting and doesn't lack the basic things such as story, personalities and details.

A really good and interesting book so far. It seems to be going to continue to focus on investigations and police work which is interesting and unique. The main two problems so far are that a fairly decent amount of the book is confusing to readers without a lot of background knowledge about ancient china. The other main problem for me is that the mc relies heavily on future Knowledge and less on his actual skills.

I like all of the characters so much.(except the first antagonist who SPOILER- seems like a rich second generation asshole. however this gets resolved later as it turns out he was actually a pawn and the move was calculated not an accident.) The Scholars are really cool, they are like the ancient version of weebs and chuunis. The alchemists are also quite the fun batch. The Mc his family are pretty likable, especially his younger cousin brother, that guy was hilarious. The thing is this keeps breaking clichés. What might seem like a 2D cut-out at first later reveal themselves to be fully-fleshed 3D characters. Maybe I might be exaggerating since I loved this story. It is really good nonetheless. So please support it to get selected!!!
Interesting novel. Well written and translated and atypical in that the hero is a man but the background is the imperial court with all its complications and machinations. It may change but for now politics and smart moves are the focus while cultivation take a backseat. The cultivation system itself is quite original, with several disciplines, which are really different, not just fire or lightning, good or evil, all those clichés. You get sorcery with a progression of medicine, Feng Shui, alchemy... Confucianism where you end up dictating Reality with your words. Martial Arts is brutal and not that popular. It's fun and smart which makes it pretty unlikely to be chosen but I would be very happy to be proven wrong!

As our stat reviewers have already said, this novel is trending right now in Qidian, with good reason. From reading the first 20 chapters, I'm hooked on it. The MC has no system, and within a world where it isn't strange for the death penalty to be handed out like candy, our MC can only use his cop skills to save himself. That he does brilliantly, and I love it. But what's better, is the flavor of humor and seriousness in here. The author does a sublime job of mixing the both, and introducing amusing, realistic, comedy in new formats. Anyway. I'll make this brief. Get this, and take it for a spin, I promise you won't be disappointed in the slightest. Milord out.

This is one of the top books on the whole Webnovel. Judging the quality of the first forty chapters, it's comparable to "My senior brother is too steady". It would be a great loss if it won't be chosen

Good book. The Mc so far is smart and I like his personality. Side characters not bad at all and the story is engaging for me at least. Not much too say except it’s a good story. Ya know this week’s selection seems to be the best we had for over a month having two pretty good books. So anyway you can’t go wrong reading this, I guarantee it’s better than most of the s#it we had in trial reads before.
hope this gets picked up because the MTL is really rough lmao... stuff like "I'm Actually a Cultivation Bigshot", "I Can Track Everything", and even "I'm Really Not Targeting the Mages" from this trial read batch were all pretty readable with google translate - but this one I could only get ~25 chapters into before starting to lose track of things so I'm glad it got 40 chapters of official translation; would be really nice if it could get more
In a word; Excellent! The story is basically a detective story set in ancient times but with Qi and supernatural powers. The normal tropes of transmigrator with good luck and using modern thinking to get ahead are there but the MC has no system and starts as a low-level martial artist with no way to easily improve. He need to use his brain, and the novel is better for it. Excellent!
