Write a reviewAn absolutely fantastic read, that always has me wishing that the fabled time for an update would come ever faster. A concept that utilizes your generic and common tropes in this style of a story and then takes it high heavens with its masterful story-telling. I wasn't much a fan of a first-person narration before. This, however, completely changed my outlook on things. The characters are well-written, the stories well fleshed out leaving me a happy and content reader. Well, shy of an even faster upload schedule but I guess perfection takes time to write, and I'm willing to wait. Definitely recommended! [img=recommend]
Hello author! I would like to know if there is ntr in the work (I hope not) or yuri (I hope not). I would also like to know if yanderes, and if the protagonist really likes girls, doesn't just use... please answer me
I really like this novel so far. I'm in chapter 38 and I have to say I'm pleasently surprised. Although the story doesn't really match the tags, I really liked it. It is a breath of fresh air after reading about a bunch of emotionless and psychopath MCs in this app. For those who don't like when the MC is a normal person and has morals, this is not for you. This is not the typical novel in here where the MC gets a cheat at the begining of the story and gets really op really fast. He is going to go through hardships and chalanges to them better himself. He is going to actually care about the people around him. Also, if you can't tolerate the MC being weak at the beginning, don't even bother reading. The writing, pacing and dialog are great and the mysterys are very intriguing, overall a good story.
Uniquely dark but incredibly fun to read. Romance feels wholesome and deep. Action is also interesting. Without a doubt worth a read. I Think this is a hidden gem on this sight full of generic/repetitive books.
Needs to get a move on, 295 chapters and only 1-3 kisses and not one of them was from ash. Stop lingering on 1 part that should only take 5-10 chapters but instead takes 50
Love this book On one hand the romance is diabetic then next few chapters the dark foreboding creeps and you just hope nothing irreversible happens Please stop playing with my heart like this
I don't even remember how I ran into this novel here, but l enjoyed every part of the journey. The author takes his time developing each characters, and thus makes the characters more loveable whenever they appear on a chapter and such. Each has their own character, none overlapping which makes for an entertaining dynamic during interactions. The story isn't bland either. It's deep, and terminologies and settings that have been mentioned in the beginning chapters reappear in the latest chapters as well. The world background of this novel is well throught through, and the more I read, the more I want to kidnap the author and make him write chapters 24/7 in my basement.
Did not know what to expect going in, but was extremely pleasantly surprised by the over all excellent quality. It’s overrall more romance and even slice of life, especially later on, with fairly limited normal action scenes. However, the story and lore are still quite interesting and despite it not being what I expected, it was great nonetheless. About concerns of it being overly dark and the mc being spineless, that’s true at first, but while the character’s backstories tend to be very dark, there is still plenty of levity, and I found myself quite satisfied with the mc’s development overtime. Also it is a harem, but all of the girls and the relationships feel well developed. Everything and everyone feels fleshed out. Overall, wonderful read, would recommend
Came for a wholesome story with decent characters.... Got one of my most awaited reads and some of the best world design and character personalities I've seen, and I love how everything continuously interacts with previous mentions if you pay attention. 10/10 would recommend!
It's all good but, seriously the humor is just forced. The style was a change and I appreciated the little jokes here and there, but as I read, it became obvious that the amount of jokes was very disproportionate. It's unreadable, really. Even the scenes in which the atmosphere should be dead serious, it's filled with those humorous things and it ruins it all. I'm literally skipping paragraphs every single chapter because it really make it hard to read. And even though I skip a lot, I miss nothing. I saw comedy it the tags but didn't take it seriously at first but now I understand. The funny thing is that it's not even funny.
I must say, many unexpected turns and twists in the plot. Not your standard cookie cutter type novel. Enjoying this immensely.
i would have liked to see the MC have something normal in his life for a change. Some down time would be nice, so he can at least explore his feelings for Adalia a little more.
before I give it a read I got to ask will he have a yandere or be one second how many girls are there. also I like yandere if there is one you immediately will have me reading.
I like how the characters are portrayed in all honesty. It feels as if someone is thrown into a situation that they never could have imagined and is trying to find a way through each scenario. As this happens each character grows and develops along the way. It's really engaging and a thorough and enjoyable read so far.

Honestly wasn't expecting much when I started this book, I saw the cover, I read the title, the synopsis. And I was going into this book with very low standards, expecting all the cliche dense Mc, surface level side characters, you know all the typical Harem troupes. Instead, Author told me a joke and I laughed, then he kicked me in the nuts with the big sad, afterwards he picked me up and made me laugh again, then he stabbed me in the heart with the big feels, and repeat. Even by the first chapter Author had me hooked, why was the elf in a dumpters?!?! Why does the MC seem so relatable and so human? The best thing I love about this book is that Author doesn't rely on cliffhangers to keep me reading, there's always a good stopping point after at most 5 chapters. I can leave it there, handle my responsibilities, live my life without a cliffhanger constantly in my head like a bad ex. But I still come back for more, always do. This is my first time writing a review, so I'm just winging it here. Also I might be biased cause I'm already 300 chapters in so far, and I don't really have any negative criticisms. Only one small thing I can think of would be the occasional typos. But even then I can't really call that a bad thing if you take into consideration Author's update frequency along with his chapter length. Its honestly amazing compared to other Author's on this app, he can, and I'm sure he will continue to do more and do better. This can be easily remedied however, I'd suggest putting up a discord server/patron where supporters can read chapter ahead of time and give insight/fix typos. I just hope it doesn't affect your writing style. Okay this got way too long. Welp ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Your fault for poppin' my review cherry.
Writing Quality 🌟 The first ten chapters were great. If it would have kept the same non-serious Slice of Life story going out would have been a great story. The syntax and spelling is some of the best in this platform. So much so that at first I was confused by the mixed reviews and wondering why it wasn't on a more mainstream platform like Royal Roads rising stars or trending. As it turns out the reason is that start is just a catfish for a dark fantasy romance story that lurks right around the corner. A style that's much more dower and depressing. A real chore to read. It never recovers its tone and style at the start. Slowly it eats away at what you liked about it in the start until you look up, metaphorically speaking, and wonder how you got here from there. Truly a shame. But the depictions of torture and mind control of the love interest. For over thirty chapters as it amateurishly throws female leads at you left and right in total chaos best represents this series and why it isn't going to be going mainstream anytime soon. What on Earth were you thinking? You had such a good plot going. This is what creative writing does when you don't sit in the driver's seat doing outlines for the chapters and the arcs themselves. Storyboarding a chapter before and after you write it to make sure that it's not just enjoyable to read, but you got the tone across you wanted. And doing drafts so the overall product doesn't suck. A comedy of poor writer decisions. Sigh... Story Development 🌟 I don't think I need to say more there, do I? Character Design 🌟 🌟 🌟 They were well put together at first. Update Stability 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 There's over 400 chapters somehow. Probably because you skipped doing quality assurance writing? World Background 🌟 🌟 🌟 That lack of planning really shows here. The world-building can be said to be banal and likely written chapter to chapter. When normally you're supposed to write this first. I'll still rate it middling, because most amateur writers have no idea what a Literature Bible is anyway. Even if you pointed them at the Fallout Bible for instance? Some of them might even argue it overkill. 😆
It's just a beautiful story. The only downside is that you have to read it in one sitting, otherwise you just don't feel the novel properly.
it is a really good book with great pacing (in my opinion) and with good and execptional plot changes that really hook the reader in to read more and more of the story.
Slightly confused at what im reading. Im at chapter 205 and literally the world building of this novel leaves much to desire. The premise of the book definitely starts off on a high note but at some point as a reader you literally say aloud “wtf is going on?!”. Theres no foreshadowing to speak of, the mc deviates between natural speech to prim and proper “ye old english” with bits of slang thrown in here and there and to cap it all of… the MC Is the stereotypical beta character who is 90% of his time thinking self deprecating thoughts but “some how” will pull the occasional confidence out nowhere. I find myself asking myself is he weak, irresponsible, secretly clever or just dense. i understand the mechanics of how a flawed character should behave as there are plenty of light novels that have this character motif of weak to strong (i.e second coming of Gluttony, Devils Son in Law, etc) but this MC leaves me literally flabbergasted. Its not a bad novel per se but i feel the MC is tryibg hard at being something he isnt. Eventually i will come back to this book perhaps but for me personally i just think unless you can deal with a typical beta MC who maybe through some past life act of valor (saving a universe, stopping Thanos’s snap, or defeating truck-kun) somehow ended up in a harem but not a harem (as some of the characters are plainly disrespectful or love him for absolutely no reason that can be found at all) that maybe this book isnt for you. Apologies to the author if this criticism is too harsh but im actually trying to temain objective about the failing points while remaining polite. TYVM.
The writing quality is good, great for this sites standards, and there's nothing to complain about with the stability of updates either, I think. Honestly, the world is really interesting and I enjoy how it's all been handled. You made me want to learn more about the world and the schemes that are happening underneath, because it really feels like a world that's planned out and real instead of just randomly added things to suit the plot, but I just can't. After reading generic OP MC No. 426, I understand not liking wish-fullfilment where the MC gets everything handed to them for no reason other than they're the MC, but this is ridiculous. Over and over and over, when you think something good is finally going to happen, it once again turns into something dramatic and depressing, and it apparently stays this way until at least chapter 80, so I can't bring myself to keep reading. All I got from this was a bad mood, and it's because there's no payoff. Multiple bad things happen, and you're feeling bad for the characters, it looks like something is finally going to turn out good, only for it to somehow escalate into another depressing problem that's even worse than it used to be, especially with Ash. You really should add some tragedy and grimdark tags, because I came here looking for some wish-fullfilment isekai novel
Reveal SpoilerI thought this was a very good novel, just not my cup of tea. The author clearly has a plan and it is well written but the problem I have with it is that the main character just frustrates me sometimes. The way he acts with romance is so bad that it makes even me look like an expert romanitic
I will be honest, review pre chp 240 is, ie tournament arc, would have been lower. Cast of characters are great and diverse, and MC was alright. UNTIL the tournament arc. He is now more than alright, he is awesome. Slight spoilers, MC (who we still don't know the name of) really grows a spine, and is willing and able to fight for the girls in his harem, and it is acknowledged that it is a harem, and he acknowledges feelings that he and the girls have. (A breath of fresh air from dense, clueless MCs). Really great novel, should be up there with Supreme Magus. Great work author 😁
Hey here a person who does not know anything about books or novels, but let me tell you that this novel is very good, maybe the first chapters until the arc of the appointment are not very good and have this air of sadness and seriousness but let me tell you that after that it becomes better, the protagonist begins to develop and likewise his relationship with his elf, if you manage to pass from those chapters that are too tedious personally and sometimes even drop it, I assure you that the rest is a jewel . Well done characters, vivid interactions and the occasional tragedy but that's more entertaining, so if you're going to read just because you saw the harem label, let me tell you that this is not for you or at least the "harem" develops much more Go ahead and if you are patient you will enjoy it.
Saw the harem tag and the title that reminds me of a easy-go comedy manga (Welcome To Japan, Elf-San). Thought it was gonna be the same aspect, but oh boy was I wrong,( keep in mind I only read up to chapter 80 ), the story had a easy going theme for the first 8 chapters, until it’s announced that the elf knight was abused and a slave back in her world, and somehow the world she came from was a game that have been released in the MC’s world. After getting kidnapped by the vampire the MC saves her, and their relationship becomes sour and TBH, the elf was being kinda emo and toxic. Thought they were going to make up, and the happy go setting would continue again, and boy was I wrong again, the elf kept being petty asf and wouldn’t forget about her past. It just wasn’t my cup of tea, I was looking for a happy go novel, but this novel is just hella gloomy and serious.
Not as laid back as I thought it would be, but it is still very good. The high - tension moments made the slice of life and romance part sweeter. Personally I feel tricked because I thought this is not that serious of a novel( by looking at the title), but it turns out to be quite a serious one. If you guys are looking for a somewhat serious novel, please give this one a try.
