Chapter 644: 606. Kaguya’s Resurrection
"Will it work?" Hagoromo asks with trepidation.
"The process is a bit long, but it should work." Izuna nods and continues to channel the chakra of the Nine-tailed beast's projection in Kaguya's body.'
Hmm…
Halfway through the process, Izuna frowns slightly.
"This amount of chakra isn't enough."
The tailed beasts overhears Izuna and step forward.
"We are willing to lend our chakra to resurrect Kaguya!" Kurama and the other-tailed beast glance at each other and nod. Their gesture touches Hagoromo, but Izuna shakes his head.
"There is no need for that! I have a better replacement."
A small spatial fissure opens beside Izuna. Izuna inserts his hand in the fissure and produces a strange red fruit.
"That's the chakra fruit of the Shinju!" Hagoromo and the tailed beasts recognize the fruit.
"Won't that create a problem?"
"It is indeed a chakra fruit, but this chakra fruit isn't tainted by Shinju's will and even contains a wisp of Origin energy of the world. So, it is safe to consume and is the best alternative."
Izuna releases the chakra fruit. It flies over Kaguya's body and slowly disperses into violet-red motes of energy.
The rate of fusion between Kaguya's body and soul increases dramatically.
Seiryū and Ayaka walk beside Izuna and curiously glance at Kaguya.
"I recognize that woman. She is the princess of Otsutsuki's Usagi house." Seiryū observes the process.
"Indeed! Similar to other weaker members of her clan, she had a tragic fate ahead of her. If not for my intervention, she would suffer a similar fate. Though my intervention was a pre-destined event since she plays a crucial role in the events of this world and also shares a distant blood tie with this body of mine." Izuna continues to draw several fuinjutsu runes into the air.
"Also, no matter how fragile she looks from the outside, Kaguya is much stronger than you. She is almost close to Godhood and I suspect she failed to ascend to Godhood." Izuna mutter.
"What? Really?"
Seiryū glances at Kaguya with surprise.
"It's a fact that a mortal can't kill a God. Most Gods possess immortality of concepts and laws and only a higher being can destroy them. Also, among mortals, only someone who possesses the power of a divine technique and the blood of God stands a chance to kill a God." Izuna explains.
"Even a Demi-god like you and Hagoromo are partial immortals. However, there is a vast chasm between the ranks of a Demi-god and a real God. It's extremely hard to scale." Izuna sighs and recalls his experience.
"You are one to talk about!" Seiryū rolls his eyes.
He has been stuck as a demigod for a millennium and during this period; he witnessed Izuna's growth from being a mortal to a Demi-god and finally to a God.
"This rule doesn't apply to me. I took a shortcut!" Izuna shakes his head and turns to Ayaka.
Hagoromo calmly listens to the group with a frown on his face.
"Haha… old man! You don't have to work yourself up." Izuna chuckles.
"Truth be told, the three of us are much older than you!" He adds.
"Hey, I am only thirteen years old. I am not as old as you guys!" Ayaka hurriedly refutes.
"Umm… I mean, your previous incarnation!" Izuna hurriedly corrects himself.
"Huh! You are older than me?!" Hagoromo glances at Izuna with a strange expression. His expression relayed that he saw Izuna grow up from being a baby to an adult.
"It's a bit complicated!" Izuna recalls some memories.
"But I am indeed older than you. For others, these past few years might be a few years of their lifespan, but for me, this time was much longer than even the history of the shinobi world.
I spent countless years stuck in the void where the concept of space and time doesn't follow the norm. After who knows how long, I came in contact with a civilization. And even there, I spent another millennium fighting non-stop as a mindless demon who only knows how to kill people. If not for someone's kindness, I might not even return to my true self." Izuna sighs.
"That sounds like a really long story." Kushina, Minato, and the rest of his family arrive beside him.
"I know! My son has gone through so much!" Aiko caresses Izuna's face with some tears.
"Your heart might lie, but I can see the hidden truth in your eyes." Aiko shakes her head.
"Izuna! Ayaka!" She hugs her son and daughter in her embrace.
"I know there are lots of things you two are hiding from me. But I will wait for you two to open your heart and reveal the truth to me."
"Mom!" Ayaka and Izuna hugs her with some tears in their eyes.
Seiryū silently glances at them and sighs in his heart. Aiko notices him and she separates from Izuna and Ayaka.
"Seiryū… Is that your name, son?" She smiles warmly at Seiryū.
AH!
The expression on Seiryū's face freezes.
"I overheard your conversation. You are Ayaka's brother from her past life. And since Ayaka is my daughter, then, in a way, you are also my son. Son… if you don't mind, can I call you that?"
"M-mother!" Tears overflow from Seiryū's eyes. The fuzzy figure of a kind, gentle woman overlaps with Aiko.
"It's alright, son!" Aiko gently hugs him and pats his head.
Izuna and Ayaka glance at each other and sigh.
"Being the prince of a celestial clan isn't a simple task. He had to bear the burden of his identity and constantly prove himself to others. The only trace of warmth he felt was in the form of mother… our mother!" Ayaka wipes a tear from her eyes and recalls.
"I remember now. When I was in the womb, mother would constantly talk about brother to me. How she misses him and how much she loves us both? But… but… she passed away after giving birth to me. Her body could not bear the burden of my childbirth and she… she…"
Ayaka hugs Izuna and sobs into his embrace. Izuna silently pats her head to console her.
Rumble…
Suddenly, a massive disk of chakra rises from the seal on the ground, drawing everyone's attention.
"Kaguya is about to revive!"
Ayaka and Seiryū separate from Izuna and Aiko. Izuna takes a step forward and raises his hands to manipulate the massive fuinjutsu formation.
The massive disk of the chakra rotates rapidly, forming several concentric chakra disks. Kaguya's body floats in the middle of the disks.
"Creation of All Things: Heavenly Rebirth Technique,"
Izuna claps his palm and the massive disk of chakra enters Kaguya's body, releasing a blinding light.
The group of people on the island close to them to shield them from the bright light. The light fades away after a few seconds and Kaguya's body levitates in the air.
Shiing…
The eye on Kaguya's forehead opens.
"That eye!" A shiver runs across every shinobi's spine.
"There is no need to panic, everyone!" Izuna takes a step forward and shields the people from Kaguya's overwhelming presence.
'Since she just resurrected, she cannot control her power. She still needs a bit of time to harmonize her body and soul.'
The red Rinne-Sharingan on Kaguya's forehead looks around. While her normal eyes are still closed.
Kaguya finally locks on Hagoromo's chakra and her body subconsciously flies towards him.
"M-mother!"
Hagoromo's body trembles and his eyes turn moist.
"Hagoromo, is that you?!"
Kaguya slowly opens her eyes and glances at Hagoromo's familiar, yet unfamiliar face.
She gently extends her hand and caresses Hagoromo's face. Tears overflow from her eyes.
"A mother's love… it's the same no matter the race or clan!"
Izuna sighs and raises his head. His eyes focused on the moon.
"Kaguya, I will fulfill your wish. I will reunite you with your family!"
Izuna's vision pierces through the core of the moon. A pair of bright turquoise eyes appear in his vision.
Swish…
Izuna makes a grabbing gesture, and the eye vanishes. In the next instance, the eyes appear in front of him.
Izuna opens his palm and the eyes levitate in front of me. Soon, a soul figure of Hamura appears around the eyes.
"This place!" Hamura's soul is startled awake. He looks around in confusion.
"Hamura!" A gentle female voice calls his name.
"This familiar voice!" Hamura turns around and is stunned to see Kaguya.
"M-mother!" His expression changes.
"Does that mean the seal?" He quickly takes a step back and notices Hagoromo.
"Brother! What's going on?" Hamura notices Hagoromo in Kaguya's embrace.
"Are you being mind-controlled by her?" He asks with worry.
"Everything is alright!" Hagoromo shakes his head.
"Then, mother… she?!"
"Hamura… it's a long story! You can lower your guard!" Hagoromo sighs.
"Mother is back! The real her!" Hamura lowers his guard and slowly flies toward Kaguya.
"Hagoromo! Hamura!" Kaguya hugs them both in her embrace.

Chapter 645: 607. Kaguya’s Tragedy
"Hagoromo! Hamura!" Kaguya hugs both her sons in her embrace.
Hamura turns to Hagoromo for an explanation. The current series of events is too much for him to process.
Hagoromo also shakes his head. He, too, isn't privy to too much of the information and is in similar confusion as Hamura. Though he isn't as clueless as the latter, since he knows a bit about the series of events that led to the current event.
Kaguya separates from her sons and finally turns her attention to Izuna.
Whoosh…
She flies towards Izuna and arrives in front of him.
"Izuna-sama!"
Kaguya bows to Izuna, startling everyone present on the island. Even Hagoromo and Hamura are surprised by Kaguya's action.
Shiing…
Hamura activates his Tenseigan and attempts to observe Izuna.
"What's this?"
Hamura frowns as he all sees is the empty void. The place, space, and time where Izuna was supposed to be didn't seem to exist in his vision.
"This person… why does it feel like he doesn't exist at all? Even though I can perceive him with my eyes and yet I can't sense or peer through his existence."
This conclusion shocks Hamura.
"Just what in the world happened in the past millennia that I sealed myself? Also, Nii-san, this person who is he?"
Hamura turns to Hagoromo for answers.
"This kid, he is a descendant of Indra!" Hagoromo gives a short answer.
"WHAT? Indra?!"
Hamura's eyes widen in shock. His old, wrinkled face makes his expression look funny.
"Indeed! He is a member of the Uchiha clan which descended from Indra and shares Indra's visual prowess. As for the rest of the information and the secret of his strength, I don't have any clue." Hagoromo shakes his head.
"Then, does that mean he is stronger than you, brother?" Hamura asks in surprise.
"Much… much stronger!" Hagoromo recalls Izuna's vast power when he reversed the flow of time and resurrected Kaguya.
Hamura's curiosity rises even further.
"Then, between him and mother… who is stronger?!" He asks.
According to Hamura, Kaguya is a powerful god-like figure with immortality. Back then, the only option the two brothers had to stop Kaguya's rampage was to seal her with a very powerful seal. However, that seal took its toll on them and exhausted much of their body's long lifespan.
Hagoromo and Hamura, both of them had a very long lifespan and could easily live for several thousand years. However, to seal Kaguya and her immense power, both of them sacrificed a portion of their lifespan.
Later, Hagoromo distributed his immense chakra to the rest of the world, further weakening his strength while Hamura reinforced Kaguya's seal on the moon until his body turned old.
Later, he sealed himself with the power of his eyes until a worthy successor appeared to inherit his power.
While the two Otsutsuki brothers were having a mental conversation, Kaguya continued her bow with a solemn expression.
"There is no need for such a formality!" Izuna shakes his head.
"After all, I share a portion of my bloodline with you. That makes you my ancestor!" Izuna shakes his head.
"No, that's not true at all!" Kaguya vehemently shakes her head.
"Once a being turns into a God, he breaks free from mortal shackles like bloodline, mortality, lifespan, and other such worldly aspects." Kaguya refuses to budge.
"Also, back then, if not for Lord Izuna's help, then Isshiki might have sacrificed me to Shinju," Kaguya recalls the event from the past.
"That's not necessarily true!" Izuna shakes his head.
"Isshiki and your fate were already determined. I was just a small catalyst to further ensure it." Izuna denies the credit.
"Still, that doesn't change the fact that Lord Izuna is a God and thus has broken free from the mortal shackles. Your current standing is much higher than mine!" Kaguya, with her conservative thoughts, refuses to budge.
"Sigh… how troublesome!" Izuna rubs his forehead at Kaguya's stubbornness.
"What's going on?" Discussion breaks in between the shinobis, who are observing Kaguya's every movement.
"So, that's the mother of all shinobis, the source of all chakras!" The shinobis whisper among themselves.
Kaguya's sheer presence overwhelms them. The amount of chakra and pressure she exudes is too overbearing for them to handle and sends a chill down their spine.
"Such a powerful chakra!" Several sensor shinobis gasp in shock.'
Even the non-sensor shinobis can sense her immense presence.
"This chakra and presence! I am afraid it's even stronger than the ten-tails!" Sakumo remarks.
Onoki and other Kages nod in agreement.
"And such a figure is bowing to Lord Izuna with respect!" Gaara points out.
A conflicted expression appears on the faces of Kages of other nations.
"At least we are allied after this war!" In the end, Onoki and A, who had conflicts with Izuna and Konoha in the past, use this excuse to console themselves.
"Lady Kaguya!"
Izuna uses his power to forcefully raise Kaguya's body. He glances at her with a conflicted gaze and finally asks what has bothered him and others for a while.
"So, the reason you ate the chakra fruit? Was it to transcend to godhood and escape from the shackles of your fate and clan?"
"That's right!" Kaguya nods in agreement.
"As a weak member of the Otsutsuki clan, the only reason for my existence was to serve as a sacrifice for the Shinju and irrigate it with my blood and nourish it with my body. I was too powerless to resist and thus could only accept my fate. However,"
Kaguya turns to Izuna.
"Your presence gave me hope!"
"My presence?!"
"Yes!" Kaguya nods.
"When I arrived in the shinobi world, I received an oracle. An oracle to change my destiny and break free from my shackles. So, I waited… I patiently waited for the fated moment to arrive. Until then, I co-operated with Isshiki and raised the Divine Tree." Kaguya recalls the past.
"Finally, when the moment to sacrifice myself to the Divine tree arrived, you appeared and helped me out of my predicament by dealing a lethal blow to Isshiki. All of this was part of the oracle." Kaguya reminisces.
"You left just as quickly as you arrived. However, I memorized your energy signature." Kaguya continues.
"I followed the oracle and sacrificed Isshiki's body to the Shinju tree to grow the chakra fruit and avoid the Otsutsuki clan's suspicion." Kaguya sighs.
"In the end, things didn't go as planned and the members of the Otsutsuki clan found out."
"I remember now!" Izuna nods.
"After lending you my aid, I came across Urashiki and other Otsutsuki clan members while traveling through the time tunnel." A conflicted expression appears on Izuna's face.
"Those two were hunting for me and they even brought Karasuki, the sacred artifact of the Otsutsuki clan, to chase and hunt me down through various timelines." Izuna rubs his forehead in embarrassment.
"It was my slipup that embroiled Kaguya in the conflict. Urashiki sensed her and the Shinobi world's anomaly and sent a message to the nearest Otsutsuki clan member while chasing after me," Izuna speculates.
"And unfortunately, or fortunately, those two happened to be Kinshiki and Momoshiki!" Izuna mumbles to himself.
"Just like other ambitious Otsutsuki clan members, that fool Momoshiki is also chasing after Shibai Otsutsuki's legend to gather several chakra fruits and eat them to ascend to Godhood. It's because of this ambition he didn't pay any heed to Urashiki's words and continued to harvest one world after another. Only when he ran out of the worlds to plant the divine tree did he turn his attention toward the Shinobi world. A world with a Shinju tree, but no guardian!" Izuna pieces the entire story together.
As if to prove Izuna's theory true, Kaguya continues her story.
"After your departure, I decided to change my fate by ascending to Godhood. Isshiki had several chakra fruits in his possession. So, after getting rid of his body, I took those chakra fruits and ate them to transcend. However, my foundation was shallow, and I didn't have enough energy to complete my ascension. So, I took a gamble and ate the chakra fruit of the shinobi world." Kaguya sighs.
"I didn't expect a foreign will to lurk within the chakra fruit. This foreign Will secretly housed itself in my body, seeking an opportunity to influence me and take control of my body. In the end, it saw an opportunity during my labor and secretly influenced my emotions and thoughts. I gradually lost control of my emotions and followed the sinister will of Shinju, considering it as my will."
"What a strange twist of events?!" Izuna smiles and turns to Ayaka.
"It wasn't me but my past self!" Ayaka raises her hands in surrender and blames everything on her past self.
By this point, Izuna has figured out the secret influence.
It was Ayaka's past self. She was a godly being. She cast an extremely powerful Shinjutsu technique on the shinobi world, influencing its every event. Her divine technique directly gave an oracle to Kaguya, who was a powerful being. As for him, it secretly controlled most of his actions, chalking him to believe it was all a lucky coincidence.
"You little twerp!"
Ayaka makes a face at him and hides behind Madara and Kasumi.
"…"
