Chapter 586: 551. Obito’s Scheme
The red and blue-tailed beast chakra gathers in front of the massive flower-like protrusion. A massive swirl of nature energy also appears around the tailed beast bomb.
"That's…"
Naruto's and Jiraiya's expression turns ugly.
"It's adding the Nature energy to the tailed beast bomb." Both of them exclaim.
SHUA…
The tailed beast bomb instantly inflates to twice the size of the already massive Ten-tail. The humongous-tailed beast bomb bloats the sky and distorts the surrounding space.
Rumble… Rumble…
The weight of the tailed beast bomb sinks the Ten-tail further deeper into the ground. This tremendous surge of chakra creates a major tectonic shift.
"The continent, the landscape, it's changing!" Ao and the other sensor shinobis warn.
A massive crack appears on the ground and splits the entire continent into another sub-continent due to the movement of the tectonic plates.
"The Ten-tail's power changed the terrain." Onoki and others exclaim.
They recall a legend in their historic clan records. During the era before the Sage of the Six Paths, the entire landmass was one giant, collective supermassive continent. There was no moon in the sky.
After the battle between the Sage of the Six Paths and the beast, the land split into several continents and islands. The moon also came into existence because of that battle.
"So, those legends were true!" They stare at the humongous-tailed beast bomb in trepidation.
"Can Lady Kushina's barrier block this attack?" Doubts appear in their heart.
Even Kushina, who is silently monitoring the situation from the In-Yō HQ, is unsure of the prowess of her barrier.
"What if I fail?" Such a question appears in her mind.
"NO! I won't fail." Kushina shakes her head.
"I must trust myself!"
With these thoughts, she activates another failsafe in the barrier. Kushina makes a series of hand signs and slams her palm on the huge control formation in front of her.
The core control formation of the barrier is in front of him.
Shoom… Shoom…
The barrier transforms again.
"I will calculate the trajectory of the tailed beast bomb and focus most of the defensive power of the barrier at the point of contact. It will strengthen the barrier at that point.
On the battlefield, the massive barrier transforms. Numerous hexagonal barrier cells realign their positions and concentrate a large amount of chakra around them. The reserve of the chakra ores deplete rapidly. Kushina even instructs them to use almost eighty percent of their reserves for defense.
Madara and Black Zetsu glance at the situation from a high vantage point.
"Interesting!" Madara chuckles.
"The Ten-tail feels threatened by these shinobis. So, in a desperate attempt, it's trying to obliterate them with one last strike. Though, this will weaken its will even further." He turns towards Black Zetsu.
"What do you think? Can the Allied Shinobi forces withstand an attack that's on par with the force of wraith of the entire planet?"
Black Zetsu ponders for a while and shakes his head.
"According to logic, it shouldn't be possible. But these shinobis have surprised and proved us time and time again."
Hahaha…
Madara chuckles.
"You are right!"
Hmm…
Suddenly, Madara frowns and glances in a direction.
"This chakra?!" His eyes narrow slightly.
"It's really him!" A grin appears on Madara's face.
"So, even you are excited about our reunion, old friend!"
Whoosh…
Madara casts a last glance at the ten-tail and flickers in another direction.
"This war, it's becoming more and more fun." He grins.

SHOOM…
After charging up the Tailed Beast bomb to the maximum, the Ten-tail fires it. The recoil of the jutsu pushes its massive body back.
The giant-tailed beast bomb creates a gully along its trajectory. It crosses the gap of twenty kilometers within seconds and approaches the barrier.
HAAH…
Kushina and other members of the barrier team clap their hands and infuse their chakra to the extreme. The nerves and veins pop out of their body.
Blood leaks from the corner of their mouth, ears, nose, and eyes as they sustain a massive amount of chakra inflow.
This sudden surge of chakra further reinforces the barrier.
BANG…
The tailed beast bomb finally strikes the barrier. The instant the tailed beast contacts the barrier, a massive surge of energy and a cascade of chaotic chakra spreads in the surroundings.
The explosion intensifies exponentially, creating an inferno within the barrier. The temperature soars to millions of degrees, hotter than the heart of the sun. An intense burst of high-energy chakra burst spread outwards like an invisible tsunami.
BANG… BANG… BANG…
Several layers of the barrier shatter instantly. Most shinobis maintaining the barrier lose a lot of blood and pass out.
"REPLACEMENT!"
The captains monitoring the situation yell frantically. Other shinobis hurriedly take their position to maintain the barrier.
The cataclysmic release of energy manifested as a monstrous fireball tearing through layers and layers of the barrier. The shockwave races outward, shattering rocks and ground, and creating a colossal crater in its wake.
The barrier forcefully withstands the explosion and blots outwards to a frightening degree. The immense surge of energy seeks an outlet to escape.
Kushina also understands the severity of the situation. If this condition persists, then the barrier will shatter in no time.
"There must be an outlet for this energy to escape."
So, she decisively alters the barrier and opens a small gap on the top of the barrier. The surging chaotic energy of the explosion finally finds an outlet.
The blast shot skyward, forming a massive mushroom-shaped cloud as the superheated air and debris rushed upward. The cloud of energy seems to touch the heavens. It pierces through layers and layers of the atmosphere and shoots into the sky as a huge pillar.
After the explosion, a wave of destruction ripples outward from the epicenter. The shockwave travels for miles, leaving a trail of devastation. Cracks appear on the ground surrounding the barrier. The shinobis near the barrier topple and lose their balance.
The barrier that seems to defy the very fate is now barely withholding its integrity with only a few thin layers. Its initial hemispherical shape has morphed into an elliptical dome.
Several web-like cracks are spread across the surface of the barrier.
Bang… bang…
Several of the chakra nodes explode one after another from the tremendous flow of chakra. The light in the Fuinjutsu formations around the barrier slowly whittles down.
Bzzt… Bzzt…
A few fuinjutsu formation flickers and die down.
Sigh…
Kushina sighs and shakes her head.
"The barrier is damaged beyond repair. I am afraid I won't be able to reactivate it in the meantime."
"How's the situation inside the storm of nature energy?"
The shinobis frantically seek an answer.
As the dust settles, and the fiery storm subsides, a silent, deadly menace emerges. The massive body of Ten-tail is slowly withering and decaying. Its gigantic eye hung loosely from its forehead. Its limbs are suspended lifelessly and its flesh and skin decay slowly.
"It seems to have lost a lot of vitality in that explosion." Tsunade comments as she senses the waning vitality of Ten-tail.
"It's akin to a withered old man that is dying slowly." Sakumo remarks.
"It's the result of the recoil of its previous attack. Since we confined the entire force of the explosion within that barrier, the Ten-tail felt the full brunt of its own power. That explosion ravaged its body and now it's barely holding on. I might collapse anytime." Rasa comments.
"Serves it right!" Naruto snorts.
"Naruto, if the ten-tails die now, the other tailed beast will also die with it. It will take centuries for them to resurrect." Kurama remarks.
"That… I…" Suddenly, Naruto feels guilty.
"Naruto, don't feel guilty. I can hear the thoughts of my brothers and sisters and they are fine with their sacrifice." Kurama shakes his head.
"K-Kurama, is there a method to save them?" Naruto gulps his saliva.
Sigh…
Kurama shakes his head.

Obito spits out a mouthful of blood. His body function deteriorates rapidly after losing his heart.
"Obito, you!" Kakashi's blood-stained hands tremble. He weakly falls to the ground as the trauma from the past resurfaces.
The innocent face of Rin appears in his vision.
"Thank you, Kakashi!"
Obito and Rin's faces overlap.
"Thank you for freeing me from his control!" Obito remarks.
Crack…
Suddenly, the sound of glass shattering echoes in the Kamui dimension. An invisible curse seal appears in the hole around Obito's heart. The curse seal fades after Obito's heart gets destroyed.
Bleurgh…
Obito spits out a mouthful of blood, but a smile appears on his face.
"My gamble paid off. The curse in my heart is gone. Now, I am no longer under anyone's control." He pulls out a black receiver rod from his chest.
The rod turns into dust fragments and disperses.
Obito's vision blurs and he slowly loses consciousness.
"It's about time!" Obito ignores Kakashi and exits the Kamui dimension.
Fwoosh…
He reappears on top of the dying Ten-tail.
"The Allied Shinobi Force didn't disappoint me. Now it will be easier for me to control the Ten-tail."
Swish… swish…
Obito makes a series of hand signs and slams his palm on top of its head.

Chapter 587: 552. Ten-Tail’s Jinchuriki
"Hmm… there is someone on top of the Ten-Tail." The members of the Hyuga clan observe.
"Who's he?"
The sensors at the HQ also notice the disturbance.
"This chakra signature… he is Obito."
"Obito?! How did he get there?" Rasa murmur.
"He can use a Spacetime Ninjutsu, so it's easy for him to infiltrate the barrier." Shikaku remarks.
"But what's he doing there?" Onoki asks.
Suddenly, Hiashi's eyes narrow.
"We have to stop him!" Hiashi notices the chakra fluctuations.
"It's too late!" Shikaku sighs.
Swirl… Swoosh…
Suddenly, the Ten-tail's enormous body shrinks rapidly. The Ten-tail turns into chakra and fills the chest cavity in Obito's heart.
"Those hand signs he was weaving… it was to seal a tailed beast." Kushina's voice echoes in their ears.
"And…"
The group glances at the rapidly shrinking body of the Ten-tails. The Ten-Tail's chakra envelops Obito and his chakra signature disappears from the radar of the Sensor.
"…Looks like he has succeeded in sealing the Ten Tail inside him," Tsunade adds.
SHOOM…
A giant, human-sized white cocoon appears at the previous position of the Ten-tail.
Thump… Thump…
A faint heartbeat echoes throughout the battlefield. One after another, several pulses of chakra escape from the cocoon.
The chaotic chakra and nature energy inside the barrier surges towards the cocoon's location. The entire chakra funnels into the cocoon and pours into it.
ARGH… UGH…
Obito's pained cry echoes on the battlefield. A few seconds later, the cries die down.
"Did he succeed or… did he fail?"
The shinobis gulp their saliva and warily glance at the huge cocoon.
"He should fail, right? There is no way someone can control such a huge-tailed beast with their body."
However, their hopes dash the next second.
Crack… crack…
Several cracks spread across the surface of the cocoon.
BANG…
With a loud noise, the cocoon shatters into several crystal fragments, revealing a white-humanoid figure within it.
"That… that's the Ten-tail's Jinchuriki!" Naruto's lips tremble as he speaks.
Even the expression of various Kages, commanders, and vice-commanders turns ugly. They glance at Obito with fear in their eyes.
"The Ten Tail possess immense power to destroy the entire world. Earlier, it didn't have a proper conscious, only survival instincts. But now, all that power… it's under someone's control. I can't even imagine the power someone like him possesses now." Onoki remarks.
"The current Obito possesses the same level of power as the Sage of Six Paths. With this power, he can reshape the entire world as he pleases. He can create or destroy continents at will. Even creating another moon isn't too difficult for him." Kurama's voice echoes in everyone's ears.
Gulp…
A few elite shinobis gulp their saliva.
"How do we even fight something like that?" They ask.
The Konoha 12 also gathers at another location.
"What's going on?" Kiba asks as Akamaru shivers due to the ominous chakra.
"Ten tail is completely absorbed into that man. Based on looking at the chakra." Neji and Hinata survey inside the barrier.
Soon, the cocoon shatters in their vision to reveal Obito. His appearance has changed drastically.
Obito's hair became entirely white. His skin tone turned white. Ten spiky protrusions emerge from his back—five near his shoulders and five near his hips—as well as a black assortment of ten magatama markings appeared on his back; one large one, with a black Rinnegan-like pattern within it, and nine smaller ones arranged in rows of three below it. In addition, the entire right half of his body gained a scale-like pattern across it, replacing the previous scars.
"He has become much creepier than before. And even as we speak, he is getting stronger and stronger." Naruto inspects Obito's current appearance.
"Naruto, what do you mean?" Gaara turns to Naruto.
"I can sense it, his body… it's rapidly absorbing the nature energy from the surroundings. His chakra reserves are rising rapidly."
Obito slowly raises his head and glances toward the Allied Shinobi force.
Swoosh…
He slowly levitates in the air and flies in their direction.
"He's coming!"
The Kages and commander go on full alert. They take a combat stance, ready to engage in another life-death battle.
Shoom…
Obito flies in front of them within seconds.
"So fast!" A comment.
BANG…
Obito's body slams into the barrier. The glass-like structure of the barrier appears in front of him. The Fuinjutsu runes of the light flicker with chakra.
Obito pauses in his tracks and inspects the barrier. He clenches his hand in a fist and smashes it into the barrier.
BANG…
A massive dent appears on the surface of the barrier. Several layers of barrier shatter with that punch.
The people outside of the barrier are also forced back by the shockwaves of the punch.
"So strong!" Tsunade's eyes narrow.
"That attack had no chakra. It was all physical strength." She adds.
"Even his physical strength has increased to such an extent." The shinobis have an incredulous expression on their faces.
BANG… BANG…
Obito punches the surface of the barrier twice. There is no damage except for some dents. The barrier refuses to budge. Even those dents revert to normal after a few seconds.
"He can't break through the barrier…"
Fwoosh… Fwoosh…
Suddenly, five crimson flames light up on the spiky protrusion on his back. The flames morph into gigantic chakra hands.
The expression of the shinobi turns somber.
"What's he doing?" Someone asks.
"Those hands… they look like my chakra arms." Naruto murmurs.
Fwish… Fwish… Fwish…
The next instant, the giant crimson chakra hands grab the surface of the barrier.
"What's he doing?"
Swish…
A tearing second echoes throughout the battlefield. Obito's giant chakra hands rip apart the surface of the indestructible barrier with ease.
Guffaw…
Several shinobis puke out a mouthful of blood as a result of the backlash.
"He precisely targeted the weak spots of the barrier. Then he used these weak spots to tear it down in a single instant without providing it an opportunity to regenerate." Kushina's voice lingers in the heads of the shinobis.
"The indestructible barrier… he… he broke it?" Slight panic ensues on the battlefield. Sweat trickles down the forehead of the shinobis as, without the protection of the barrier, Obito's immense chakra overwhelms them.
"Is it me? Or is he stronger than when he was in the gigantic form?" Bee gulps his saliva.
"Before, it was just mindlessly throwing its power around. But now, it's all focused in the hands of that one man."
"Everyone, keep your guard up! We don't know what that man, who made the Ten-tail's power his own, might do!" Sakumo quickly takes control of the situation.
His magnetic voice eases the worries in their heart and the shinobis enters their formations.
Shoom…
Obito flies out from the restriction of the barrier and lands in front of the group of Kages.
"He's coming! Get ready, Naruto!" Kurama warns Naruto.
Obito levitates in the air and glances at the people in front of him.
He slowly stretches his right hand and opens his palm.
Swirl…
A massive amount of elemental chakra gathers in his palm.
"What's he doing?" The shinobis stares at him in confusion while maintaining his guard.
"That's…"
Suddenly, a memory flashes past Naruto's mind.
"It's the same technique as Izuna Nii-san!"
The large amount of elemental chakra turns into five black Truth-seeking balls. These Truth-seeking balls revolve into Obito's palm and fly toward his back. They float in mid-air and form a half-halo behind him.
"This is Izuna Nii-san's technique!" Naruto points towards the floating black balls behind Obito.
"What?!" All Kages and the commander turn their attention to him.
"Umm… I mean, this technique is similar to Izuna Nii-san's technique." Naruto corrects himself.
"Naruto is right!" Tsunade and Mei also agree with him.
Both of them have seen Izuna's technique several times.
"What does this technique do?" The rest of the shinobis also perk up their ears.
"Don't be fooled by the small appearance of these orbs of chakra in his hands. Each of these orbs possesses the full power of an S-rank jutsu and can obliterate an entire village in an instant." Tsunade explains.
"These orbs are a combination of all five elemental chakras and thus are higher than Lord Tsuchikage's Particle Style," Mei adds.
"What?!" Even Onoki is shocked by this revelation.
"I thought combining three elements was the limit. But to think about combining all five elements… that… that's impossible!" He shakes his head in disbelief.
"It's possible!"
"However, the requirements to fulfill the necessary conditions are so extreme that it seems impossible. However, Izuna's success is the most definitive proof."
Obito stretches his hand, and an orb flies into his palm.
"So, what are the powers and weaknesses of these orbs?" Rasa questions.
That floating orb emits a sense of dread and palpitation in everyone's heart.
