Alise stood in front of the group of people who now stood in the middle of the training cave. Dalvin had told her that the fastest way to balance going public with being able to keep the eye safe would be to have her recruits specialize in one field of study. As a fan of all things fantasy the concept of a balanced party was not new to her. Plus she was pretty sure she was getting smarter, Dalvin must be rubbing off on her. In her head she organized their roles. First would be Tim the most crucial part of her team. As he was inclined to mechanical things he would learn rune craft from Dalvin and help him build and maintain equipment. Alise felt this was so important because she was pretty sure her imagination would work Dalvin to death, so he needed a helper. Then there was Matty her best friend, Matty was obsessed with magical girls so that made her top candidate for a mage. Alise knew you could use protective magic, and if it was possible she would teach Matty healing abilities as well. Next was John, he was a year older than her but still in the same grade, so she knew him well. John loved robots, and that is where some of her ideas might put some strain on Dalvin. If everything went well she could get him a power suit, and she would have a proper party tank. After that was Sarah she was 16 and loved swords, samurai and ninja. Alise would have her focus on melee skills, and she would serve as dps. Last was John he was 14 and a huge superhero fan and if he was willing and Dalvin was ready, the subject of body augmentation. If they could give him super sight and hearing that would be good, but overall she was thinking a utility role for him. With everything set firm in her mind she gave her hands a clap to get everyons' attention, as they were looking around the facility in wonder. "Ok, everyone this is your new home for a while. Dalvin can deliver letters to your family, but we will have to proofread them, certain information must remain secret for now. Once we have all completed training it will be safe enough to go back into the outside world. So first I will answer your questions then we will get started.", she paused giving someone time to speak. Tim spoke first,"So what exactly is going on? My head is spinning, you show up and flash some crazy device, then cloak us and bring us to a cave with some sort of magic entrance...I..I...just can't make heads or tails of this." Alise could sympathize with those feelings, she held up a source stone,"This stone has the power to influence the world at its most basic level, with this you can command atoms, cells or DNA it does it all. Your main purpose here is to learn to use these and in turn protect them. Anyone else?" Sarah spoke,"Protect them? From what?","That's a good question, well given their power almost anyone would want them and do whatever it took to get them. Think of all the countries in the world and how these stones will turn it all on its head." Sarah frowned then said,"Why dont we just never tell anyone then." Alise shrugged,"That would be fine if we never did anything with these stones but if we use them the changes to our lives are impossible to hide so that would also mean giving up on the outside world forever." Eric interrupted,"So your saying you want the six of us to decide who gets to use these stones and stop any nation that tries to use force? Isn't that a little insane?" All eyes focused on her. Alise looked at Dalvin, he had just told her this part of the plan recently, and she was hoping to settle them in before telling them. He nodded to her giving his consent,"No that is not what I'm asking. We will defend the stones from people from other worlds because we will not be staying on earth. When the time comes we will be making our own world." Everyone gasped in unison, then began to ask about their families and friends, would anyone else be going and how was that even possible. Alise silenced them with a loud cough," I have chosen all of you and when the time comes you will also be able to do the same. Then we will leave for a new world, but unlike the movies we will have the ability to shape that world, to make our dreams reality. Then in turn we will also protect it, because such a creation will not go unnoticed by people who already have stones." Everyone seemed to be thinking about what she just said, so she continued," I know this is a lot to take in, so for now lets get you set up at the apartment and Dalvin and I will answer your questions as we go."
It took hours to answer all their questions and get their rooms set up but at last they were all assembled back in the training area. Alise addressed them all again,"Look I know this might not be a decision all of you can make on the spot, so just think about it and spend a week here. If by then you don't want to go through with this you may leave. Does that sound acceptable to everyone?". They had all agreed, good now she could set them down the path to get them all to stay.

Tim had spent a few days with this Dalvin guy, and they had really started to get along, well at least he felt that way. He wasn't sure what to think the first day he showed up in this cave of wonders. Alise had just hammered him with one fantastical thing after other until his mind felt numb. Now after a few days to calm down he was in love with the source. It basically turned machines into computers. You coded a device with script or runes as Dalvin had said, input a source stone and that was it, the device would perform the scripted function. Also if you needed moving parts like a drill, you could use the stones and script like a C.A.D. program, once activated the parts would be materialized, the only thing you needed was materials at an atomic level, which for most things were in abundant supply and once again the stones allow you to harvest them. The world he once had known was gone, dwarfed by this technology. There was no way he could walk away now....

Matty was glad she got to spend so much time with Alise, after all a few days ago she had thought she was probably dead. Then she had just shown up out of nowhere and was like,'oh look I can do magic, follow me'. At the time she was confused, angry, happy and amazed all at once. But now she was just happy, she got to be with her friend and the others weren't so bad either. More importantly she would never have to go back to that world again, she would never have to see that man who called himself her father ever again. She would never have to lay awake at night afraid that he would stumble into her room drunk, there to hurt her and abuse her. That world was gone now, replaced by one where she lived with her friend as they studied magic together and someday would make a new world together. Matty smiled at Alise as she started explaining some new item to her....she never had to go back.....

John flexed his hand inside the leather glove and the metal arm on the table beside him mimicked his movement. It was a prototype that Dalvin and Tim had made, the third one in as many days. John made a flicking motion with his fingers and the metal arm replicated the motion with identical speed and precision. Their models were progressing very quickly. He didn't really understand the process, when they talked about it everything they said just kinda went over his head. The part he did understand was when Tim had said once they had the process down they could build a mech in about a month. It was a dream come true for him and all he had to do was get use to these stones. He could still only use one at a time but Alise had told him as he grew more accustomed to it, he would be able to have dozens linked to him. When that day came he would become the worlds first mobile suit pilot. It defiantly looked like there was no turning back now....

Sarah wiped the sweat from her forehead and took a break from her training. Being a master swords woman was hard work, she had hoped the magic stuff would have transformed her into a warrior or something but apparently there are limits to even magic. That aside the fact that once out of five tries she could activate the source stone and slice cleanly through a stone boulder was awesome. Alise had said that this was just the beginning and that if she decided to stay more amazing things were to come. She still wasnt sure about all this though, the phrase too good to be true kept coming to mind. Aftrer all if someone came to take these stones by force they would end up in a position where they might have to kill someone right? Even though she fantasized about defeating her enemies with her blade she wasn't sure she actually wanted to do that. This was something she wanted to talk to Alise and that Dalvin fellow about. Despite how amazing all this was, she might just have to walk away being happy with having a small taste of her dream....

Eric sat in the corner of the training room shrouded by the cloak of invisibility. Through the small hole in it he used the goggles that enhanced his eyesight to watch Sarah train. She was so beautiful, he had always had a crush on her since she started riding his bus to school two years ago. With her long black hair, cold blue eyes and slim form, it puzzled him why every guy in school wasn't chasing her down. Of course, he wasn't because he was too terrified to even say hello, but now they were down in this cave together. With all the devices Dalvin gave him he could watch her without being spotted, he knew it was a little creepy, but he couldn't help it. He wondered if she was gonna stay or leave, if she stayed he would too. If she left so would he, she might need someone to verify her story or something, either way he was going to stay by her side no matter what.....
Sorry for the delay, I had a few things come up. The rest of the week I should be releasing chapters daily
