Chapter 3: 2. Project Crystal and Trouble!
The next day Light woke up in a bad mood
he didn't feel like going to school..
He then turned his phone on, and ignored the messages and missed calls..
He called in AR school saying he won't be attending this week for personal reasons..
'Afterwards there will be two weeks of vacation as well.. '
*Sigh*
'I don't need all this drama right now'

He then turned on his computer and started working on a project he had been thinking about since yesterday, after he gained the memories of his predecessor.
Light could now also create crystals out of magic, after he was engulfed in them Light now had a deeper understanding of them,
and what he could do with them..

As this world is quite polluted in some places,
Light wanted too create a crystal combined with technology to create a way to filter the seas and air using these crystals.
Using his magic to imbue said crystals,
they might even be able stimulate growth of plants and heal damage and diseases from people.. It could even be used as storage space.. Maybe even as a wireless Wi-Fi Hotspot.. Light smiled at this crazy idea.

He typed it all out and finally felt a little better now.
He send a blueprint to his mother and asked her to Patent it to his name, he didn't even bother to call her this time..
'Knowing her, she'll probably think it's a game or something similar.'
He continued working on his project for a bit longer and he created multiple different sized crystals of different colors
'Perfect! now I just need to prepare the software and hardware, I probably would need to make it unhackable though, just in case, hmmm.'

Afterwards checked his Email he saw a few messages from school sending him his homework for the week, his teachers were pretty understanding as he always does his best, he might not as good as Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy at Science and stuff,
but he's definitely in the top 5..
He did some easy homework for now to pass some time.

He turned his TV on for the news to take a break he was shocked.
<Breaking News: Tony Stark is promoting Peace and refuses to give government his IronMan Tech>
Light nodded. 'It's probably for the best.'

After about an hour, he checked the time
'4pm already..hmm, let's take a break and go outside for lunch.. I can also get some "air".'
Light thought as he quickly grabbed his phone and wallet and ran towards his roof and jumped off.
He started getting excited again feeling the wind..

Somewhere in a hidden location in New York.

There was an African-American man sitting in his office, he has an eyepatch and looked quite frustrated looking at the news about Tony Stark.
He held a folder in front of him,
which was full of different pictures of people with the name Avenger initiative, he Sighed deeply..
'Stark is trouble.. But he has potential.'
The man is called..
Director Nicholas Fury of S. H. I. E. L. D.
His office door suddenly beeped and a smiling redhead in black streamline suit quietly walked inside the office holding a folder of her own,
It's Light's mother Natasha Romanoff..
"You called for me Director?" Natasha asked.
Fury nodded "There is a new mission, you are required to keep an eye on Mr. Stark and also to see if he has what it takes to join the initiative.."
Natasha nodded, smiled and handed her folder to him.
He furrowed his eye at her "What's this?"
Natasha smiled "Take a look at it first, Sir"
Fury shrugged and opened the folder he read it a bit and was instantly attracted to what it could be used for, it is Lights Crystal Project.
"Where did you get this?" Fury turned serious
Natasha proudly puffed out her chest.
"It's a project my son made, he asked me to patent it for him"
Fury was shocked, and thoughtfully looked it over again. "Hm, you certainly raised a small genius.. Light Storm? it seems he and his brother in law, think pretty similar, even if they don't know each other.. it can be a helpful co-project, if they work together then your son.. is able to earn a decent amount for his royalties, His family can get more funding and we are able to get potential allies.."
Fury started thinking "Are you willing to take your son and get it co-patented with his family?"
Natasha looked a little sad "I don't mind taking him.. but I'm not sure how Light will react to it,
He never met them before.." Natasha thought for a moment and gave a sneaky smile.
"I might be able to get him to go.. After all
He wishes to be a Hero like Captain America after all.."
Fury grinned sneakily as well, nodded and said.
"Try it out, we'll see how it goes.. you can do it tomorrow.."
Natasha nodded happily and left in a hurry, Fury chuckled a bit seeing her like that..
'Too bad.. he's a bit too young'

Light was happily jumping and floating in the Sky.
He figured out how to do a triple jump and a charge jump for a boost of speed and gain air quickly, he saw the Comrades from his predecessor memories do these things..
So he also tried to do the same thing,
He now also could heal people, animals etc.
He could also make a Spear or Shield of Light out of magic as well..
**Flashback**
A few Hours earlier as he was flying through buildings at high speed and he accidentally flew into a group of pigeons.
In a panic he tried to guard his face and created the shield of light in front of him..
A stray pigeon flew right into it.
What happened next made Light feel a little bit sick.
As the pigeon hit the shield it got bounced back hard and with a *Crunch* broke it's body again a wall in an instant and it was barely alive..
So Light out of pity and wishing to help it tried to pick it up.
As he held out his hands a gentle stream of Light came out and slowly healed the pigeon..
The pigeon fluttered and it quickly got up and flew away.. Light looked at his hands in amazement..
"I can use [Cure]? I thought I could only use my predecessors skills and magic..
Is it maybe.. because I have a Higher magic affinity?"
Light looked around and saw an old can laying on a ledge, he stood ready and held out his hand.. [Banish]-
He expected an small orb to fly out..
But what came out was actually something sharp and long.. it was an Spear made out of Light.. It flew quickly and pierced the can and then quickly disappeared.. Light was shocked..
'Thank Cosmos, I didn't actually use it against a person.. But, it does confirm that I have a better affinity.. by at least one or two ranks..'
"I need to be careful from now on.."
**Flashback end**
So now Light was happily taking a detour back home after he just ate a few amazing Hamburgers, he found a great diner, so he also had one to go.. *BOOM* suddenly he heard an explosion close by..
'An accident? Maybe someone needs assistance!' he quickly went there to take a look..

Light arrived quickly but what he saw was out of his expectation..
A weird looking middle aged man in purple suit, cape and helmet was slowly descending towards a group of people who were hurt, he held his hand out towards a buff looking guy, who laid on the ground unmoving, growling like a beast..
Behind purple cape stood a huge Yeti looking man grinning, on his shoulder he held an uncautious naked blue woman with red hair..
And in his other hand he held a brown haired girl who was seriously injured and lost cautiousness.. 'Who are these psychopaths?'
A small distance from them lay three girls, three boys and an older bald man laying next to a broken wheelchair.. 'They are probably all around my age except for gruffy and baldy.. Two look kinda blue though are they perhaps a group of mutants.. I need to help fast!'

The purple cape spoke "Charles old friend, see what happens when you and your
"X-men" defy me like this, I didn't want it to end like this.. But examples must be made..
In order to let people know not cross the Brotherhood of Mutants.." He said the last part while looking at the Redhead with a glare.. She glared back with glowing red eyes and shouted "Y-you madman!"
*Snap!*
He snapped his fingers and the Yeti threw the brown haired girl next to gruffy "No!"Rogue!! Please wake up" *Graaah!* all the teens with desperation in their face tried to get up and help but were too injured and couldn't move..
Charles spoke "Magneto stop this madness we can still find a better way-" Magneto held out his hand again and a piece of metal shifted in his hand to make a Dagger..
Magneto laughted "No! No more mercy!
First, I'll end your students in front of you,
then it's your turn.. Say goodbye Charles!"
Magneto threw his dagger in straight line towards the uncautious Rogue everyone went wide-eyed *Noooo!* everyone shouted.
Suddenly though another Teen jumped in front of the Rogue and held out his hand.
[Shining Shield]- *Shine*
it was Light he looked an angry at Magneto..
His shield of light then turned a bit orange in color and grew more compact..
Everyone looked in shock as they saw the teen stop the fast moving dagger with ease but then..
Light Shouted and pushed his hand forward.
"Go!" the dagger that was held up by the shield suddenly spinned back towards Magneto with the speed of light against his stomach and he blew backwards against a wall hard.. *Bang* his helmet flew off.. Right in front of Charles..
The Yeti dropped the blue woman and growled loudly he quickly tried to attack Light but suddenly got tackled by gruffy..
which also made his helmet drop..
The Yeti in a desperate attempt tried to dive towards the helmet.. but it was to late.. He suddenly fell uncautious.. gruffy scoffed and kicked him away in anger..
Magneto who was badly injured got up..
"Damn.. I miscalculated.." He tried to fly away but he also suddenly fainted and fell into a garbage container.. Light smiled and thought to himself. 'how fitting.' he looked towards the baldy.
It was Charles, he held telepathic powers and knocked them out instantly, once he finally got the chance he needed..
Gruffy ran towards the hurt Rogue and held her face in desperation "Wake up please! Please! Charles, why isn't it working?"
Charles looked sad "Logan, I-" but as he was about to say something..
"Step aside!" Light said as he pushed Logan out of the way, who got angry and wanted to attack, but stopped.. Light kneeled and held Rogue gently and took a deep breath and said [Curaja] a Bright light suddenly flew out quickly over Rogue and the rest of the X-men who closed their eyes out of shock..
One of Rogue's hair locks suddenly turned pure white.. And everyone was suddenly healed and healthy.. Light breathed a sigh of relief and fell backwards on his behind, out of fatigue, With Rogue still in his arms..
Her eyes suddenly fluttered a little and she slowly opened them and looked at Light in confusion, he smiled gently at her and held her cheek and said "I'm glad, I made it.."
He sat her down slowly and gently
"Take care" he said as he stood up and jumped away from the site, Rogue called out to him "Wait... Who are you..." but he was already gone. "Thanks.. Silver.."
Suddenly the rest of the teenagers ran towards her looking her over and Logan held Charles like princess as he quickly walked towards them as well..
Charles said "Cyclops, Jean and Storm you three quickly cuff Magneto and his brotherhood, we'll turn them in at S.H.I.E.L.D."
They nodded and quickly got to work.
Charles realized that today was close call, as he looked toward the young woman who still had a dreamy look in her eyes as she watched toward a certain direction..
'Thank you, Young man.. I definitely owe you one.'

Light who was oblivious to the situation, was floating towards his home, he had a big grin on his face 'My first ever rescue was a success, I wonder if I should wear something.. maybe an armor like my predecessor..'
He shrugged and continues homebound..
