Chapter 1: Vamian soil

The morning was bright and sunny, the swaying of the ship had half the passengers on the ship seasick. I had already spilled my guts upon the ocean floor hours ago when i woke from my slumber. The sounds of seagulls echoed through my ears, god i hate seagulls i thought to myself. Atleast the journey was almost over, i had traveled from my home country Marketh towards the republic of Vamia. The reasons for why i left my home were quite obvious, my family was dead, and i needed a new start. For a long time has the republic been a place of freedom and opportunity. As i lean on the side of the ship, i hear a few shouts behind me "Land ahead!" it was gilderoy from the watchtower, i looked up in my slightly dazed state and started making my way towards the bow of the ship. Just as i was going to peak over the front to see the land my eyes were blinded by a blazing summer sun. After readjusting my eyes i saw it. The land and harbor of the city of Gendrer. My final stop on this godforsaken ocean i thought loudly to myself. As i was wrathful as always, i noticed the hairs on my arms stand. The sun was roaring and made a beautiful reflection from the ocean waves, it truly was a beautiful day. The city of Gendrer looked like a oasis within a desert. Suddenly i thought over my plans for first contact. This truly was a fresh start. "i could do anything" i thought loudly to myself, it echoed through my head as i felt doubt and deprecation creeping within. "i could be terrible". The waves crashed against the bow. Wind sailed through my hair. The sound of roaring workers across the harbour slowly became more audible. I had finally reached Gendrer.
