Synopsis

A bitesized story with historical nascency.

The tale is inspired on real testimonies in regard to the second World War. Regardless, the reader should be aware that the author took creative liberties within the creation of this work.

This is a really good book that I highly recommend anyone to read just for the fact that its not the type of thing found often on this site. Its a short, but very deserving of being called great nonetheless. I hope there was more but ... I respect the author's decision to write just a one-shot.

The saddest thing about all this is that there is only one chapter. Among the masses of same old cliche that have saturated webnovel, it may look like it doesn't have much to offer when it comes to actually well-written stories, but this one chapter alone proves that argument completely wrong. What can I say that has not already been said? A lot actually. This is underrated. Very underrated. The way the author was able to craft characters in just this one chapter is beyond amazing. I really hope this someday becomes an entire series. And if this is anything to go by, then I'm definitely going to read everything you have written, @Sighe! Oh boy! I can't even form any words to give a good review here.

I was recommended by another user to read this and I definitely don't regret the fact that I listened to her. A really captivating one-shot! Great work, author-san!

Wow! What else can I say? Seriously, what else can I say to something so amazing? Idk how it goes in other countries but in my country, you have these lit. books with 10-11 one-shot stories like this to read every year. If I were the one deciding which ones to put in, this will be in one of those lit. books. It's just that good. It has every element that is needed of stories like these. Hats off to you, Author!

Very interesting. Turning historical events into a story is something that is definitely worth looking upon. I would highly recommend this to anyone who shares their love with history. If I may be so shameless, I hope that you turn this into a novel with more chapters hahaha. I would defnitelt look forward if you have more works such as this 👌

Just be honest, this story is only one chapter long but it has everything, the characters, the background especially. Stories that take place in our world like war require from author to start them by doing some research first on the topic. You chose really challenging genre but pulled it off perfectly. I'm truly amazed, and honestly, I can't do it better than you. Great work!

I quite liked this book as it reminded me of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain. The writing was properly thought out aside from a few errors and spelling mistakes. Taking a second and third opinion on the writing will be enough to fix it. This is a review rewrite. The original got deleted by accident.

Wow. Just wow. I... I did not expect that. The story, although short, it written beautifully. Well done. I just love how you use a perspective of a [innocent] child to show the harsh and ugly truth of the war. Here, takes this 5*, you deserved it.

Although I'm a year late, I'm glad to have found this now because it was definitely worth the read. Hope that the author has a great day and keep up the good work for any future books because you are truly talented!

I do quite like your take on World-War scenes. You bring out the humane aspect of the war. As in: you create characters, humans and let them live in what many consider a black hole of humanity's history. Which is a very good thing, mind you! I have no idea what your update schedule is, since you only have one chapter uploaded at the time of this writing. I also like how you portray the different sides of the war, yet with a humane side (again) which is a good thing (again). Of course, everyone is familiar with the world background of the World-War, but you do a good job of portraying both sides. Overall, a very good writing style and very good characterization! Keep it up!

Wow. Just wow. This story is only one chapter long but it has everything - the characters, the background, (well described background is my greatest struggle in writing so I admire everyone who has the ability to do this). Stories that take place in our world during real events like war require from author to start them by doing huge reserach on the topic. You chose really challenging genre but pulled it off perfectly. I'm trurly amazed. Great work!

Personally, I love a dark story, so, I'm used to the death and all, but, how you pieced together the story, was amazing and actually made me cry. I love how you wrote about the background, adding a sorrowful mood, but, somehow didn't make the overall story sad, the ending is what really got me. (Sorry if my review didn't make any sense.)

This story almost made me cry, it is great to see an author on webnovel taking historical accounts and turning them into stories. I did not see the ending coming, and would recommend this to anyone who is interested in WW2, but doesn't want to read something really long. Or even if you are interested in reading something long, I would encourage you to read this, especially since it only takes a few minutes.
