Chapter 38: Her wedding dream

She sighed, agreeing on his statement. "What are we going to do?"

He swiftly swung his arm on her shoulder while he answered tiredly, " I don't know, I'm not prepared Liana. Everything's going too fast. Too fast."

"I know. It's kind of a bummer."

He laughed lightly, sending butterflies on her stomach, "Won't you pick your dress and the designs?" he asked, looking at her shining eyes.

"I already did. Ashley and Victoria did it for me. With the help of my grandmother, of course. You?" She sighed, not wanting to reminisce the time that those girls annoyed her, her grandmother most of all.

"I have my suit already. My uncle shipped it from America. I don't really get his style. Did you meet the wedding organizers?"

"Yeah, a week ago. You said that it's up to me, whatever I choose. I sort of chose a garden wedding, but the reception's different. I wanted the forest theme." she stuttered before dreaming about her wedding. She pursued her dreams when she was just a child.

He smiled at her who was looking above, imagining the reception already. "enlighten me," He loved listening at her talk about her things.

"I was looking at the magazines and I come across a wonderful reception. The venue's in Noble Crest. Have you been at Noble Crest?"

With a mocking tone, he answered, "Duh, of course."

"Have it in an actual forest and hang lanterns, set up large pillar candles, hang lightweight fabrics, that kind of things. Fairy lights in a jar and then hang on tree branches, that's kind of magical."

That's when he knew, he will keep her, she's a keeper. His heart fluttered looking at her sparkling eyes as she narrated her dream wedding. His dream was simply to be tied with her. His dream was her dream and that was enough for him.

She slowly closed her eyes and focused on the warmth that he was giving her and the cool air around them. A few minutes passed, she slept in his arms. Hearing no sound, he looked at his shoulder and saw her sleeping peacefully.

He slowly placed his hand on her head as he stood up before she slightly hit the couch. He dragged the table from the middle to the side before dragging the opposite couch. He took off his slippers before crawling to bed.

______

Ashley was looking for her when she saw the door slightly opened. She went outside and overheard their conversation. She smiled looking at the two.

"look at them, so sweet," she whispered, not enough for them to hear her. She was just outside the tent, listening to them.

She was happy that her best friend was happy too. Talking about her dream wedding almost made her laugh. She remembered how she complained that Jun wasn't showing any emotions but Ashley's clever enough to point that out.

He wasn't just the type of person to show or express things and she understood him as she went through that lane.

She decided to leave them both alone and stopped eavesdropping. She went to the kitchen to drink a glass of water when she bumped to Victoria.

Victoria looked at her before asking, "have you seen Liana or not? We're supposed to sleep together and I finished preparing for movie time."

She sighed before slightly laughing, "don't worry, she's a little busy. Let her have her moment, she's growing old," she said, just like an old woman.

Victoria scoffed and laughed, "tsk, you're talking as if you're her grandmother,"

Ashley glared at her, "she's in love, for the first time after that wretch left her. Thank God that our girl is finally a woman,"

Victoria actually didn't believe her. "C'mon you're now talking like her own grandmother. Her real grandmother is just chill with her, why can't you?"

Ashley sighed and walked upstairs while she followed her. "I'm just looking out for her. I have a hunch that he will be back, sooner or later,"

With that, Victoria froze, her eyes flickering. "I-I think h-he's already h-here," she stuttered, looking at Ashley.

"No, I'm sure of that." Victoria grabbed her hand and said something that scared her, including herself.

"who the hell gave her the flower again? Asking for Li Xue Ya?"

Ashley sighed and slammed her palm in her forehead. She took out the blanket and went outside. Before she left, Victoria thought that she's mad because of the things she said. "where are you going? Are you mad at me?"

"No I'm not mad, why would I? We're looking out for her. We must take all the possibilities. I'm just grabbing this blanket because I think she's sleeping in the tent with Jun,"

She carefully went downstairs while carrying the heavy blanket. She struggled with opening the door with her not-so-tiny-hands. When she succeeded in opening the door, she immediately ran outside for the door to not close between her, or she would be trapped.

She went inside the tent and carefully placed the blanket on them and placed it properly. She adjusted it to the side so that Liana would be more warm and comfortable and flipped the crunched up part of the blanket.

She looked at them and smiled before heading back to the house. She remembered the times when she and Christian were just high school students and were as sweet as them. Of course, that sweetness didn't fade. It just got more sweeter and sweeter.
