Chapter 33: Signals
She walked towards the door as she let her friends inside. She was hugged by Ashley and Victoria who brought snacks and junkies. Justin, Christian and Dylan gave her a smile before taking their shoes off.
"there's a rack here, you can place it here," she grab the movable rack from behind and let them put theirs on.
"you can also borrow these slippers. It's from my mom's hotel anyways,"
"uggghh...your mom's hotel is the best. I mean Far and Near hotel is the best hotel in Myanne, wait no.
"please sit down, Jun will come down later," she said while she grabbed Ashley from behind and stopped her from going to the kitchen to look for foods.
Christian said a simple Hello to her before grabbing the junk foods from Ashley's paper bag and placed them on the coffee table. It was the first time that they got inside her house yet they felt so comfortable and treated it as their own house.
"I'm betting this house and all the accessories costs at least a total of 50 million," Justin muttered as he looked at the stone floating shelves that surrounded the large TV. He pointed at the figurines that was placed nearly on the shelves. Liana was reminded of Hyunjun and Hani.
" Wait—this is Cinderella's arrival by Lladro. I heard it was $57, 200 but I don't know about now."
Victoria didn't let herself down and pointed to other figurines, "oh please, why don't you search for this bowl vase from ancient dynasty. $2 million, I think,"
Ashley laughed and pointed at the Chinese porcelain that was placed at the left shelf, upper right. "I believe that that vase costs $10 million,"
"guys, this isn't a competition of what vase or figurine's the most expensive. Liana owns it," Dylan said while launching on Justin.
Suddenly, they heard clacking of shoes on the stairs and they immediately looked up. Liana immediately walked towards him and unknowingly, he sneaked his hand on her waist.
" total is $2.4 billion, " he finally said and they shouted 'what?!'
They were chit chatting and betting about something while they were just quiet. "right, I forgot to tell you, I'm going somewhere. I'll call you when I get back. Hey guys, take care of Liana. Make yourselves at home,"
She frowned when she heard that he's going somewhere. She knew that he was not safe and she tried to stop him, "it's not safe for you. Your wound is still not healed. What if he'll come back?"
"man, you should probably treat that wound and listen to her," Justin and Dylan both said at the same time before giving each other a high five.
He nodded and looked at her. She followed him until the gate and she stood and waited for him who just went to the garage. She saw him driving an Audi R8 in matte black. She was glad she didn't choose those expensive ones.
"be careful after you're done with your thing, go straight back here, don't be too late, please," she suddenly sounded like a wife who's so worried for his husband, sending him off to somewhere. She clasped her hand and closed her eyes. She waited for him to close the window but he didn't.
Suddenly, he pushed his head out of the car window and planted a kiss on her cheek before stealing a peck. He rolled the window and drove away.

"why is our dear Liana sad? Are you falling for the great Ice prince?" Victoria asked eagerly while munching the chips.
"spill the tea sissy," Ashley said. Liana felt embarrassed to spill her secret for the first time in their lives. She always tell them whatever weird things she experienced and they were there to listen to her.
"w-we uhh...k-kissed?"
"why does it sound like you're asking?"
"OMG finally!!!" Ashley shouted and so was Victoria.
"I need details. I need details."
Christian and the other boys just chuckled and proceeded to watch the movie. The rest of the day went by with her talking about how she felt about the kiss and how she kind of wanted more.
The girls admitted that she was truly falling for him but she's not being true to herself. She's pushing away the feeling that came from her heart. She was using her brain more than using her heart in this situation.
As Ashley quoted, "the more you use your brain when it comes to this, the more you will not know about true love and its branches,"
She knew that Liana was still affected by her lost best friend who was named Zixin. She also knew that she was scared of letting her true feelings show although it was obvious from what happened a while ago. She mean, they held each other unconsciously.
"seriously, when it comes to love, you need to let the negativities away. You need to not be yourself,"
"what do you mean?" she was confused with Ashley who was eating and giving advices.
"what she mean is that you need to not always use your brain. We both get it, You're hurt by the past but if you let your past kept on hurting you, the way you see a person will also depend on how the past did change you,"
Both were not aware of their true feelings for each other and they felt the need to help the couple. Victoria, on the other hand concluded that both knew that they have something for each other but chose to conceal it. Not that they don't know how to express it, but they don't want to. In conclusion, they're both cowards.
