Chapter 15: Vegetables
~Christians POV
"Alright, guys lets try to kill those zombies left over, I the right, Ems you follow me. Remember no more than 10 paces away from Luke." I said as I dash towards the left while brandishing my revolver. I didn't want to use it at first as I thought that it would've attracted too much attention because of the noise, but fortunately, the supermarket is descended with chaos, with cries of horror and screaming are blaring in the background. Reaching the 5m mark, I started to shoot at the zombies. killing 2 in the process before they made they made their way to the close combat range. Sheathing the revolver and pulling out the katana, as I found that it offers more flexibility in tight spaces like these, compared to the halberd. Preparing to clash with them, I took a moment to glance to my side and found an unsettled Ems, giving her a pat on her back for reassurance, I then blinked and engaged the zombies.
~end of POV, 3rd person
Having woken up from Cristian's pat, Em dashed in behind him and quickly catching up. Em then rushed ahead activating her ATS(the wind regalia) to in order to travel on the top of the frozen aisle shelves., reaching the zombies Em kicked off the aisle creating a wind shockwave completely destroying the whole section. In mid-air she did a sideways 360 turning kick, obliterating the head of the Zombie instantly with the wind blast that came with the kick.
Finishing the kick with a summersault and landing gracefully on the ground, she then turned around and rushed off towards another target using a set of illusion like footwork. Almost reaching the zombie, Ems brandishes a dagger and executed a rising flying knee catching the chin of the zombie completely, sending it flying upwards. Seemingly not done yet, Em followed the flying zombie and spun around gracefully, dagger at hand, and using the centrifugal force generated by the spin, Em beautifully sliced the head of the zombie off.
Landing on the ground again, she looked around for the next target, and found 1 more left standing, she dashes forth and did a wushu like tornado kick, stomping the head of the zombie with her heel, and with moves flowing like water she fluidly switches the heel kick to a frontal kick, smashing its chest in and sending it flying towards Cristian who was watching her.
"Your eyes are wondering there big boy if you keep staring then don't blame me for telling on you," she said, as Cristian sent a chop towards the incoming zombie, successfully beheading it.
"Looking is suppose to be free, so why you were trying to charge me for it. Anyways nice work, let's go get some steaks" Cristian complained. Finishing up their side the two then looked behind them seeing if the others need any help, seeing that there also done. The group proceeded to ransacked the whole aisle, where they took no more than 4 minutes to leave the whole place barren.
"Veggie time!" Luke excitedly exclaim
while Izzy grumbled "Ughh don't remind me"
"heh, typical for a spoiled princess," Cristian mumbled
Izzy stared at him hatefully and cried "what'd you say!?"
"Hey, guys... why don't we get the seeds first? it's just around the next aisle from here," asked Annie
To where Cristian answered tenderly "Ok sure, I always liked being lazy...efficient."
"No need, I already got all the seed packets from the rack when you guys where touching meat fufufu, here," Emily said cheerfully handing Cristian a basket full of seeds.
"Nice one Ems. alright lets go get some veggies and get out of here." Cristian replied, while hurrying the group.
~Christians POV
Teleporting towards the vegetable aisle, I immediately used the skill 'spatial awareness' to survey the area. 'What is this!...Shit!... Fuck, monster wave?! I can sense zombies everywhere in front...and right now they're approaching the entrance in great numbers!'
"Everyone get ready! Incoming zombie wave!" Cristian and luke yelled at the same time
'Shit! Fuck! Cristian you stupid ass dense as fuck piece of shit' I cursed and berated myself harshly for completely overlooking the fact that the vegetable aisle is where the main entrance to the supermarket is located.
"Luke teleport us out of here"
"I cant, System say we cant teleport away from a boss fight" answered luke
"Fuck jzues! Everyone stick closely together, and retreat towards the back exit." I ordered everyone when suddenly.
[Plot armor skill activated]
[User cant run from this boss fightto desuwa, please make your way towards the boss otherwise system well initiate auto pilot modessu.]
"...You have to be fucking kidding me!!!"
"Broski whats wrong?!" Luke ask worriedly
"Guys change of plans, you guys head towards the exit. I need to stay here to take care of the boss"
"Wait what are you on about?! Broski stop joking and lets go!" Luke said while pulling my hand
While Izzy looked at me weirdly "What are you saying you stupid idiot? stop wasting time and lets go"
"Guys!! I really cant go with you!, it has something to do with what I got from the system. Now, hurry up and leave retards before its too late"
"Then we'll stay with you and fight the boss!, More people means more dps right?" Luke said resolutely
"Yea, we cant have you hogging the drops now fufufu. Please... let us help you!" The two girls added
"NOO! I wont be able to forgive myself if one of you guys die! now Go! Don't worry about me I have a lot of life saving treasures" I urge them, while literally pushing them away
"No Im not going, I also have ways to get out with my teleport hacks! haha let me help ok?" Luke said expectantly
"Thats why these girls really need you dumb ass, now stop wasting time. Here cook these how I like it and ill meet you and you girls too in the dorms tonight. Izzy here take your bf away" I said while handing luke a couple of steak packets and finally convincing him to leave.
"Chan you fool, why are you always hurting me, idiot,stupid? You even promise that you'll talk about us tonight hmp. If you dont make thing clear by tonight, then ill really hate you, dummy!" Annie cried while charging into my chest.
"shhh, dont cry, haven't I always been keeping my promises? Now be a good girl and go back, ok?"
"But I!.."
Not waiting for another reason since I probably already spent like 5 minutes convincing these stubborn little shits to go away, I straight kissed annie mouth stoping her mid sentence, but sadly I didn't enjoy it as i broke away right after, while comforting her by saying.
"I wont die, dont worry I always sometimes have a backup plan, So obediently wait for me tonight ok" I said while turning her around and passing her to Ems.
"What about you Ems, Need me to comfort you too?" I said giving her a wink
"yes! but I dont want it right now, but I need you to comfort me tonight with annie ok? fufufu" She said returning my wink
"Hehe this better not be a joke, haha ill see you tonight. Alright Im going retards, be careful on the way back. Ill meet you later" I said giving them a wave goodbye, Seeing them disappeared behind the aisle. I calm myself down and proceeded towards the horde of zombies.
Walking closer I realise that there was a mass of people trying to fight off the horde of zombies.
"Come on men! push just a little more, we must avenge our brothers and sisters."
A middle age man shouted as he wielded a kitchen knife strapped on a long stick like a spear. while the other people from the attacking team also shouted and nodded, pumping themselves up, ready to meet the zombies head on.
Seeing them, I can only sigh and shake my head 'These guys...they simply don't know how many we'll be going up against...ahh well more cannon fodder for me… '
