Ever wonder what you'd do if you were dropped into your favorite anime? Well, if you were Chinese, you'd get a system or some assortment of a 'golden finger,' because, of course, if you transmigrate or reincarnate, you're automatically granted one. Then you'd go gallivanting across the multiverse, messing up everyone and everything that dared to look your way. You'd state clichés such as, "You dare!" or "You do not know the immensity of the heavens and earth, trash!" Or, if you're overpowered enough, you'd look demurely at a 45-degree angle from the horizon and lament how lonely it is to be invincible. Your average Chinese transmigrator would then proceed to collect all his favorite female characters with his ‘gigantic’ wit, starry eyes, and sword-like eyebrows. Through sheer magnetism (or force), he'd gather all his girls and house them in his ‘crystal palace.’ If you're Japanese, it’s more of the same, but with cheats instead—or maybe even a system, or both. No cliché sayings, though. If your isekai protagonist is lucky, he starts overpowered, then collects waifus with their ignorance and gentleness. Of course, if he's not lucky, your average Japanese isekai protagonist would first be tortured, leading to an entertaining revenge flick. But sadly, I'm neither—just a random mixed-race boy from Canada, the land of maple syrup. Though this won’t be an average story, it’s mine. It’s dark and bloody, happy and comforting, and everything in between. I will ascend, not only because I want to but because I need to. So follow along, my imaginary audience—this will be fun. -
