This is your story take however long, you need to make it feel right to you. I think the pace you have now is great. The background and pacing work very well together.

I feel each chapter pacing is great. It gives you a feel of time running out, that they need to make it quick because they will be attacked or restricted soon.

Is the pacing a bit too fast? I actually want to write about the One Piece world sooner, but I feel like I've omitted a lot of the process.
