sorry if this is late but, you could make it so if a skilled kills another skilled it gives them a token/gem/mcguffin that so long as they hold onto it it gives them access to that tree/path, and if it is taken from them or given to someone else they loss the bonus to that tree/path and the new holder become the skilled for that tree/path (unless they are also a skilled). {sorry if I don't make sense}
Let me know your thoughts on it though. I always appreciate additional input. Don't know for sure what I will do just yet since I haven't gotten that far.
