[Location: Salvatore Boarding School, Mystic Falls] [3rd POV]
Sighing at the fact that she was being called out like this, Talia slowly got up while grumbling. Walking up to the front of the class, she turned and sighed "I am Talia Morningstar, the new student, and a witch"
Hope was softly giggling in the back while Talia said this with the best bored look she could give. Turning to Dorian she began to speak again "Can I go sit back down now?"
Dorian sighed at this, already knowing that she was going to be an interesting new student, not including the little spell she cast the day before. Nodding, Dorian began to address the class again, which Talia blocked out as she sat next to Hope.
For the rest of the class, Talia sat and listened to the explanations, while also trying to ignore the looks she was getting from several people. The class ended up being way more boring than she was expecting, as it seemed to almost entirely be theory, and not actually putting it into practice, which was disappointing to say the least.
The next class was just as boring, as the magical history that they were currently covering, she already knew all about. They were covering the Bennett family, and their important figures, as well as the side effects they had on the supernatural world as a whole. Having watched the show already, she knew all about this.
The next class was just as bad, being introduction to supernatural species. Having already watched the shows, she knew more about the different species than most of the people in the school. This led to another class of her trying not to fall asleep, while also being glanced at by the other students in the class.
'God I did not expect this to be just as boring as real school. Even the classes based in magic are boring as all hell. Next is damn Geography, the knowledge from my past life is going to make this even worse than the other two classes...at least Hope is in this class' Talia thought, as she walked into the classroom, and noticed an empty seat, before taking it.
Hope walked in moments later, and sat next to her onee again, once she noticed that there was no other seats remaining. "I'm starting to think your stalking me" Talia grinned out, while Hope rolled her eyes at this "You wish"
Talia nodded at that, but didn't say anything further, causing Hope to furrow her eyebrows "What did that nod mean?"
Talia just grinned at her, before turning to the teacher who began to speak. Hope seeing this, huffed, before also turning to pay attention to the teacher.
Just as Talia was expecting, the class was boring as hell. It was covering stuff she had already learned in her previous life, making the class pretty useless all things considered. The only plus side, was Hope yet again. The girl was surprisingly a good conversationalist, with her at least. She noticed the way Hope treated others, but just shrugged it off, she doubted Hope did it for a bad reason. Considering how highschool students are, Talia was pretty sure that they deserved to be ignored.
Walking towards Physics alongside Hope, Talia couldn't help but ask "Why is it that everyone is so scared of you? I know that your family is rather...well known, but I don't see why they'd do all of this" Talia said, motioning to the people who were actively moving out of the way of Hope, making an opening for her. It was like they thought of her as some sort of infection or something.
"Well...most of the people in this school are idiots, so they think I'll be "just as bad as my father". Not sure why they forget that he and the rest of my family became better people, or that a lot of the so called heroes aren't exactly good people either, but whatever, It doesn't really bother me" Hope said. 'Bullshit' Talia thought, easily able to see through the lie.
She could tell that Hope hated that she was being treated this way, but more than that, she could tell that the Tribrid was lonely. Being treated like some sort of virus by everyone except a handful of people, would wear on anyone, especially a teen, who has never gotten the proper help she has needed.
Deciding to change the conversation upon noticing how uncomfortable Hope looked, Talia began to speak "So...wanna eat lunch together?"
"You want to eat lunch with me? Even after seeing the way people avoid me at all costs?" Hope said, turning to Talia with a look of confusion.
"Well...you are the only friend I have in this place, and you seem far too nice to do anything bad. So yeah, I want to eat lunch with you" Talia said, genuinely meaning every word. She already sees Hope as a friend.
Hope eyes widened slightly at being referred to as her friend, before she smiled slightly "Well...I guess I can clear my schedule"
Talia snorted at this, as she sat down in the Physics class.
Physics was slightly better than Geography, but was still pretty bad. Talia's memory was literally perfect, so using the knowledge from her previous life, all these normal classes were easy, and incredibly simple. She did notice some differences in difficulty, which she is assuming is due to it being a fancy boarding school.
The class ended with Hope and Talia walking to the cafeteria to eat. Sitting down across from Hope, Talia began to speak "So...what's your favorite color?"
The rest of the lunch went roughly the same, with the two having small talk, and talking about themselves. While Talia also explained her magic a bit more to Hope, who was very intrigued in the Patronus charm, and its effects.
After the lunch ended, the rest of the classes went roughly the same. All of them being pretty boring, and not at all like what Talia was expecting.
And so, just like that, three more days passed. Each of them being boring as all hell, with the only saving grace being Hope, as well as the Twins, who she had hung out with on occasion. Talia had shown off a couple more of her Harry Potter spells, while not showing off the truly dangerous ones. She had also continued her training in Overlord spells, but had yet to learn a proper TVD spell, as the library books didn't have proper explanations of the spells in them. It seemed Alaric only wanted the kids to learn the spells from the teachers. This made Talia realize that she needed a TVD Witch class, desperately at that.
Talia and Hope had also continued their nightly ritual of binge watching Kitchen Nightmares together, while occasionally watching Hells Kitchen. It was an enjoyable time, but did not end with Hope cuddling with her, like it did the first time, much to Talia's disappointment.
Today was a special day however, as not only is her goblin dungeon being unlocked, but canon was going to begin.
Noticing Hope walking towards the front door with a bag, Talia briskly walked up besides her before asking "Where are you going?"
Hope turned to Talia, while walking up to Alaric's jeep. "Atlanta, there's a potential new student we are going to pick up"
"Oh? And what species?" Talia asked, already knowing the answer. While she heard a notification from the system go off.

And so canon has been reached! Well...close enough. Next chapter will have the events of the first episode, or potentially just a part of it, idk.
Landon will be bashed, and Hope will NOT kiss him or act all lovey with him. As she has long since gotten over him, and long since moved on. She also has someone new that she has a bit of a crush on *Grins*.
The last part was rushed a bit, but that was mainly because I could not be bothered to write three more days of her literally going to school, and doing the same thing each day. Thus, the timeskip was born!
This chapter was a decent bit shorter than the last one, but that is due to it being mainly used as Talia's first day, and a sort of intermission before canon begins. Talia will get her next Class in a few chapters or so, and thats when her leveling will truly slow.
Have a good day! And make sure to point out any mistakes I may have made!
