Keiran staggered to his feet, took a deep breath, and began to walk slowly toward his room. When he opened the door, his eyes were immediately drawn to the corner: Aren and Victoria were asleep inside a large, black cocoon-like structure.

For a brief moment, Keiran watched his friends, a tired but peaceful smile appearing on his face. Then his gaze shifted to the other side of the room. In the corner stood a luxurious-looking bed, though one of its legs was broken, causing it to tilt slightly. Realizing he had no other option, he walked over to the bed and carefully lay down.

The bed was more comfortable than he had expected, but he was too exhausted to care. Taking a deep breath, he finally drifted off to sleep.

As the first light of morning illuminated the ship, Aren slowly opened his eyes. He panicked for a moment when he realized Victoria wasn't in his arms and quickly sat up. Looking across the room, he saw Keiran helping little Victoria practice walking.
