Gideon spent some time going over each of the weapons and what they were capable of. The quality of these items were several levels above the ones sold at the Helstia Auction House.
Arthur and I looked at some things, I even wanted to take something for Lucy and Ash but none of these things here suited them.
Looking at each other for a moment, we shook our heads with a disapointed expresson, the mad scientist grumbled something foul.
Gideon eventually led us into a hidden storage room with precious gems and raw material that made my eyes twinkle in greed.
"This is an ironite diamond, one of the most valuable gems found on this continent. It has properties capable of storing a lot mana to use in case of an emergency."
Gideon studied our faces, hoping for an expression of satisfaction to appear, but it never did.
Gideon let out a defeated sigh. "Himes, can you bring me the pendants?" He asked, rubbing his temples.
"But Master, this was made so that..."
"I know! Just bring it!" Gideon interrupted his butler Himes, and eventually Himes comes back holding a small case with an even more intricate lock on it.
While everyone was busy, I took a huge blue diamond that seemed valuable for me and shiny as I placed it discretly inside Amaya. 'Im hustling bruv, gotta pay the bills... Even tho im already rich.'
"These are some of the products I made for the Royal Family. They've been asking for life protecting artifacts in case of any danger." He just shrugged his shoulder, any sense of confidence he once had nowhere in sight.
I picked up one of the two identical pendants to take a closer look while Art picked the other one. The main jewel was a very soft, yet radiant pink color carefully ornamented and decorated in a thin white-gold chain.
"I had some of the best designers work on the actual piece itself so it would be suitable for the Royal Family." He explained.
I willed a bit of mana into the pendant and when I did, I was vaguely able to see the outline of a mana beast I'd once read about. "This is made from a Phoenix Wyrm." I muttered.
"You were able to figure that out?" Gideon became even more intrigued at me as his eyes carefully studied me, trying to figure out exactly what I was capable of.
"Yeah, I already fought one before and killed it, I even have its mana core." I said taking a white small mana core from Amaya.
"YOU WHAAAT?! YOU DEFEATED A PHOENIX WYRM?!" Gideon jumped back a few steps after seeing the mythical and unique white mana core.
"You two will end up killing me by a heart attac..." Gideon squinted his eyes as he studied me closely. "Wait, wait... I recognise you, every one talks about you in and outside the kingdom. Your the Dragon Sin of Wrath!" His eyes almost came out of realisation.
"Yep, in bones and flesh, the one and only." I crossed my hands under my chest.
Gideon's mouth couldn't help but stay agape for a few seconds before bringing himself to us again. "Two monster came to visit me at the same day, same time, and they are twin brother... Just what are the odds for this to happen?"
Continuing on, Gideon explained. "While the phoenix wyrm isn't nearly as rare as the dragon species, this particular breed is still a high S class mana beast. They aren't really known for their power and combat capabilities but their unique ability to preserve their own life. When the phoenix wyrm is attacked, its pink or white scales will elongate and harden around them, forming a sort of cocoon."
This caught Arthur's interest, and Gideon continued.
"However, that's not even the best part. When the super hard cocoon they're protected in breaks, they deplete all of the mana in their beast core to instantly transport themselves to wherever they know they're safe. It's a very unique ability that I've only seen in the phoenix wyrm.
These two pendants are probably the most valuable artifacts I have. The jewel itself is made from the beast core of the phoenix wyrm and also small fragments of its scales, allowing it to reproduce the life-preserving effects of the beast, to a certain degree." He continued.
"How many times will the user be able to utilize the effects?" Arthur asked, studying the pendant even more closely.
"Honestly, I'm not too sure. The Glayder Family presented five of these beast cores that had been kept over time for generations. However, they didn't know what exactly these mana cores were capable of.
I imagine since the mana core doesn't completely deplete itself to transport a human, it'll work at least twice like the previous two cores I used to make the pendant did." He shifted his gaze from the pendants towards us with hopeful eyes.
"These are for the Glayder Family, right? Is it really all right for us to take these when the Glayder Family provided the raw materials for it?" Art asked.
"Well, like I said, they don't know what exactly those beast cores could do so if I just make a good replacement life preserving artifact, I think it'll be fine. Of course, if you choose to trade your blueprint for something else, that'd be even better." He revealed another toothy grin.
"Haha! I'm not that nice, Mr. Gideon. I'll take these two pendants." Art unrolled the blueprint and filled the rest of the key components that he had left out.

"Sigh...you're putting me in a tough position but I know that you're doing me a charity by giving me these blueprints. With this, I imagine that our people will be able to reach the new continent before they reach ours." Arthur extanded his hand with the blue print in it, but before Gideon could take it, he pulled it back.
"YOU! I gave you the pendants stop playing with me!" Gideon shouted.
"I will... But not before you finish with him too." Arthur pointed towards me.
He turned back to me, his gaze not looking at me as if I was a child anymore like he did at first but more so as an equal. "Never in my life did I imagine that 'I' the great scientist Gideon that even the royal family can't mess with, would be blackmailed by two kids..."
He rubbed his temples looking down, after a second or two he looked at me again. "So? What do you want."
Sitting on one of the chair, and lifting my legs on a desk where a lot of gems were exposed, I crossed my hands under my chest as I asked. "The Blue Necklace of life... Have you ever heard of it?"
The scientist placed his finger on his chin. "The blue necklace of life? Why the hell are you asking for that thing? What do you want from it... Tch, you know what, I dont care why you want it I really need the blueprint. So you want to learn about the necklace right?" A mixture of expressions and emotion passed through Gideo before he finaly asked.
"Yep! Tell me everything you know about it." I started tapping the tip of my finger on the desk, as he finaly started.
"In a time long forgotten, there existed a mystical civilization hidden deep within a lush, secluded forest. The people of this civilization were living at Eldorian, the kingdom known as Darv now, and they were renowned for their unparalleled knowledge of nature's secrets, and the golden age of blacksmithing. " The scientist started explaining.
'So the gem on the necklace originate from Darv.' I tried to keep in mind just the important parts, since this story seems to be pretty long, Gideon then continued.
"They believed in the harmony of life and sought to unlock the mysteries of eternal existence. Legend has it that the Eldorians discovered a sacred sapphire mine deep within the undergrounds, where the gemstones gleamed with a brilliant blue hue unlike any other.
Among the many precious gems they unearthed, there was one extraordinary sapphire of an exceptional size and purity. This sapphire was said to be imbued with the essence of the forest itself, a gift from the ancient spirits that watched over the Eldorians."
Even Arthur and Vincent seemed to be interested in the story at this point.
"A gifted artisan and a revered elder of the tribe, named Haruko, was chosen to craft the legendary 'Blue Necklace of Life' from this unique sapphire. Using his deep knowledge of the natural world and his extraordinary skills, he carefully carved and polished the sapphire into a mesmerizing blue pendant.
It was believed that the pendant had the power to pause the aging process once a person reached the prime of their life, granting them near immortality. The necklace was revered as a sacred artifact, passed down through generations of Eldorians.
To possess it was considered an honor and a great responsibility, and it was only worn by those who had proven their wisdom and benevolence. For centuries, the Eldorians used the necklace to extend their lives, sharing their knowledge and preserving their culture.
However, as time passed, the Eldorian civilization began to wane, and they realized that the necklace's power was diminishing. After tens of thousands of years of consistent use, the pendant slowly lost its brilliance. It was then that the Eldorians understood that the necklace's magic had a finite lifespan.
With heavy hearts, they accepted the inevitability of returning to the natural cycle of life and aging. The Blue Necklace of Life was carefully preserved, passed down as a symbol of their history, wisdom, and connection to the ancient spirits. It became a reminder of the balance between life and death and the importance of cherishing the moments given to them.
As the Eldorian civilization faded into obscurity, the Blue Necklace of Life was lost and became a legend, whispered through time, waiting for the day when it might reappear and bestow its unique gift upon a new generation, or perhaps fade into the annals of history as the last remnant of a civilization that had once danced with the forces of life itself.
It is said that the necklace can still expend the life of an individual for another thousand or two thousand years before finally cracking and vanishing from this world, permanently this time." Gideon finally finished his story telling.
"So? Was this enough for you?" Gideon had a angry expression on his face for losing all this time in telling the story.
"You can give him the blueprint Art, I got what I came from." I jumped from my seat.
As Arthur gave him the paper Gideon didn't lose any time as he quicly snached it from Arthur's hands and became studying it closely. "Yeah, yeah, yeah! That's it! This is what missing me! The last piece of the puzzle is finaly in my hands! HAHAHAHA!'
We only laughed at the crazy scientist's behavior as we headed out the door, the silent Vincent, who was still bewildered by the turn of events, trailing behind us amazed by how we made the greatest scientist, one of the 4 people with the most influence in the kingdom a plaything in our hands.
The journey back home was vivid one, because me and Art were in a very good mood laughting and joking about what happened today, and telling each other some of our stories from when we were adventurers, since didn't get the chance to talk much at that time.
I got back home and no one was here, while Arthur went back out to bring his friend, I just sat on the long sofa next to the entrance.
"My sister's birthday is next week and then there would only be a few months left until my twelfth birthday, and eventually the new year of Xyrus Academy. Even though I wouldn't be that far from my family while Im at school, I would certainly be limited in how often I could visit them, and I didn't pass much time with them in the first place, so my main goal during this time is to have as much memories and have fun with them."
I said to myself with a big genuine smile, then I clenched my fists as my expression became cold and angry remembering what happened with Lucas and Art, and how the king want to have the blue necklace. Im 100% sure the king wouldn't stop there to get that necklace, now that I know its true powers.
"I need to get stronger, so fucking damn stronger than I am right now. Imagine what would've happened to Arthur if I didn't reach him in time in that dungeon... I have people I love to protect, I can't handle even to imagine losing one of them..." My expression turning into a determined one, I continued.
"I will definitly protect them no matter what, even if it means destroying this whole realm!" I declared, fists clenched on my quads looking down.
