Axel watched the intense battle between Uvogin and the Shadow Group with a mixture of fear and excitement. He had heard of Uvogin's immense strength and was awed by the display of power in front of him. However, as the battle raged on, Axel's attention was suddenly drawn to the sudden death of Rabid Dog, caused by the fragment of the Leech skull.
Leech fell to the ground, his head penetrating.
Kurapika saw everything and started to lose control. His eyes turned red but could not be seen because of his lens, and his heart started to beat like a drum. Melody at the back heard everything. especially the raging melody of Kurapika, and she knew that he was about to do something stupid.
Kurapika muttered to himself.
"Shadow Group will lose; they are not on the same level as Phantom Troupe at all."
Axel muttered to himself, "Rabid Dog wasn't trained enough to block that attack." He shook his head in disbelief, realizing the true danger of the world he lived in. Death could come at any moment, and it was important to be prepared.
"This was an example of the importance of experience in a ninja battle." If Rabid Dog was smarter, he would simply avoid an attack. His agility was enough to dodge the attack, but he instead chose to block it with his nen, which was not good enough.
But, to his surprise, the other members of the Phantom Troupe seemed unfazed by the death of everything happening in the canyon. It was clear that they trusted Uvogin to win the battle against the three members of the Shadow Group.
They were casually playing cards, as if nothing had happened. This contrast between the life-and-death situation and the nonchalant attitude of the troop members was a stark reminder of the power dynamic within the group.
Axel couldn't help but think about his standing when it comes to the troupe, power-wise. He couldn't afford to make any mistakes and needed to work harder to hone his skills.
"There is still many things I need to learn, maybe ten or twenty battles later, I will be better when it comes to fighting against experts at the level of Phantom Troupe or Zodiacs."
He made a mental note to train more and become stronger so that he could better protect himself and those he cared about.
"I can take care of the weaker and non-combatants of the troupe with ease, but Uvogin, Feitan, Phinks, Nobunaga, and maybe Franklin should be able to give me a good fight, and I am not sure if I would be able to win against Feitan, and I am sure that I am not able to win against Chrollo."
As he continued to watch the battle, Axel was filled with a newfound determination. He would work tirelessly to become stronger and more skilled so that he could one day stand on equal footing with the leader of the Phantom Troupe. He wouldn't let his guard down and would always be prepared for anything that might come his way.
In that moment,
Axel realized the true weight of the responsibility he had taken on by comparing himself to the troupe. But he was ready to face the challenges head-on and emerge as a powerful force to be reckoned with.
