章節 276: Chapter 276 : Against Dragons 3
Finally, it was Orion's turn, he wouldn't say it but he was a little excited to use his new wand now.
As his name was called, he turned to Rose and smiled. "Meet you outside this tent, this place smells like a Dragon."
Rose just rolled her eyes at this, she was still getting over the fact that she passed the first test.
Getting out of the tent, Orion walked to the entrance which led him to the opening ground where the fight was about to take place.
He slowly took out his wand and looked at them with keen interest.
"Strange how things are always with me. I started avoiding wands to increase my wandless magic control and to get stronger. The first wand I got was only slightly better than any random stick I could get my hands on in the forest.
And now here I am, got power and probably the strongest wand outside those deadly Hallows. But where I gain in power I lost much in control. Now I no longer have a choice to whether use a wand or not, to control my magic so it doesn't go on a rampage and kill everyone around me, I can't go without a wand.
Everything is a loop in life. Sigh." Orion can't help but sigh before finally entering the open ground.
It was a bright sunny day with many people cheering for the next candidate. Orion saw the audience around him cheering for him, some even booing, strange how those were none other than Hogwarts students.
Orion didn't care, he just moved on, he chose the most dangerous of the dragon's intentionally, but after seeing the dragon in front of him, he was a little disappointed.
'Hmm, this one looks more ferocious agree... but the size is way smaller. Not to mention I can't sense much magic from him.' Orion pondered when he saw the Dragon.
It was scaly than he anticipated it, the dragon wasn't half as big as what he found in Gringotts.
Maybe the only thing going for this one was that it looked a little more intimidating, but that's about it.
"Roar." Finally, the dragon spotted Orion and roared out after seeing him.
'Good thing I cast magic to equalise the volume around me.' Orion was mostly unaffected.
Undeterred he just searched around for the golden egg, that was the real objective and not the dragon after all. After finally spotting the egg alongside other eggs in Dragon's nest he started walking without giving any attention to the dragon.
"Rarrrrr." The dragon didn't seem to like this, he opened his mouth and sent a torrent of fire at Orion.
To Orion, all this was in slow-mo.
'Sigh, after fighting that big monster in Fate, I don't think anything will live up to the expectation.'
He slowly lifted up his wand and lazily pointed it toward the upcoming fire. And the next second the fire started to dissipate.
Honestly, he didn't even have to move, his infinity can handle this just right but rather not let others know about infinity if possible. Hogwarts students are fine, but there are many other people here who he didn't want to attract attention to.
"Rarrrrr." The dragon kept on sprouting out fire from his mouth to burn Orion alive but the fire never reached to Orion. It vanishes after a certain point, never reaching Orion.
"You done brother, I really not wanna kill you. So just get your scaly ass out of my sight." Orion yawns, his sleepy state acting up, this might be more annoying than his constant headache.
Dragon maybe see that his fire was in effective again Orion roared again but this time it decided to attack Orion himself.
His relatively huge body moved at surprising speed, rushing at Orion, who didn't even look surprised.
"What is he is doing? Why he's not moving ?" Many asked and looked at horror when the dragon was only a little away from Orion.
As the dragon came rushing at Orion, he after checking something took one step back, just in case.
"THump"
Just a few meters away from Orion the dragon stopped, his mouth closing with a snap to crush Orion and swallow him alive.
But unfortunately, Orion was good at measuring the chain's length to which Dragon was attached to.
The beast tried to move further but the chain warped around his leg stopping him from moving further ahead.
'This is more ridiculous than I anticipated.' Orion can't help but sigh. He just felt that he could use a little advanced magic to break the unsummoning charm placed on the egg and make the egg fly to him.
At this time he was just putting up a show for others.
"Let's stop this nonsense." He looks around, only to swing his wand and make a stone float towards him.
"Say Ahh," Orion said to the dragon which was doing his best to eat him alive, but that damn chains were better than him.
Seeing the dragon not opening its mouth he just sighed and then stepped forwards and punched the Dragon right in the jaw. His movements were lightning-fast, and even the dragon was able to capture him in time.
Other people seeing this scene were quiet now. To there amazement that boy Orion D Ambrosius just stood there in front of the dragon-like he wasn't afraid at all.
After him not done it for some time people thought that he was stunned and froze due to fear but he punched the dragon.
Punch a Dragon... What is he doing?
But to their horror, the punch was enough to almost stagger the dragon and veil in pain.
"Is that really a boy, are you sure that's not an orc or something? What strength is that ?" People asked with ridiculuos faces.
"Rarr."
Orion's punch was enough to make the dragon finally open his mouth in pain and roar.
"That's what I am talking about baby." Orion smirked as he was still holding the small rock at the tip of his wand, it was floating there.
The moment the dragon open his huge mouth Orion just pointed the rock at his mouth and stopped it after saying.
"Engorgio."
And the next second, the small rock which shouldn't have been bigger than paper weight suddenly turned into a boulder.
And it enlarges right inside the dragon's mouth.
Making him gag as a huge boulder appear in his mouth, so big that he can't even spit it out and heavy enough to drop his head at the ground.
"Ah that's good, maybe one last add-on to make sure you stay." Orion pointed his wand at the end of the chain, and with a swing the place it was being held onto exploded.
After the chain free up, Orion again swings his wand to make it move in the air and warp it entirely around the dragon and tired him up.
"Piece of cake." Orion smiled as he again resumed his casual walk to walk towards the golden egg.
People in the audience seat though were roaring by this time.
"What...
How did he do that? Was it that simple?
How did he control the rock that well?
What Happen.
Is that over that quick ?" Many questions were in their mind but by that time Orion already gotten his hands on the golden egg and show it to the judges.
