"She was... I couldn't explain that to His Lordship."
"You couldn't explain what?" Kavan inquired, his hand wrapped on his throat as if he were having difficulty in speaking.
Fannie stared at him before uttering slowly, "It is nothing of great importance now. Let me provide warm blood to enhance your recovery. You have to go and rest before the sun falls. Since the werewolves are on alert, the mission would be tougher as the security would be almost unbreakable. And again, remember that we have to take Lady Coleshill along so it would be quite tasking."
"However," Kavan added. "This wouldn't be as easy as it seems... Apparently, Lady Coleshill agreed to be sacrificed to the werewolves. I doubt she would want to come back home when she hadn't even achieved anything."
"Mayhaps, you should try and say that to your master," Fannie retorted almost immediately.
"Let's go to the chambers, I can feel the poison eating through my skin now."
"I thought you insisted on being patriotic."
