3.59% Duel World Online / Chapter 25: Declare the Name Part V

章節 25: Declare the Name Part V

“Ah…” Blanche raised his voice when he realized his friend’s intention. “Then what about the time we are not here?” He asked.

“We then price them appropriately.”

“I see…” Blanche nodded.

As the two were talking about how Tan had gotten into Crystal Castle, the first customer entered the Sphere. They discussed the price, and then Tan finally sold a Hostile Spirit card. After that, people kept coming in; some bought something while some did not. There were some of Tan’s customers who went to Blanche’s stall as well.

“You’ve got a lot of customers. Can’t believe that what you wrote can actually bring customers in,” Blanche doubted as the latest customer left the Sphere.

“Sometimes, putting something like ‘cheap’ or ‘good stuff’ isn’t attractive enough. You have to go with something that can really draw attention,” Tan explained his marketing strategy. Before he could brag on, someone entered his Sphere. He was a good-looking guy with fair skin and short black hair wearing luxury clothes.

“Little brother, I’m interested in your Sappatula card. The price on that isn’t the real price, right?” He asked and handed his name card out.

“Edward…?” He read the name on the card.

“Yes, please contact me if you have any interesting cards. All the cards in your stall are quite different from others,” requested the guy who stood in front of the counter.

“About that Sappatula card, let’s say eighty thousand,” Edward claimed.

“I can’t do eighty thousand.”

“I see…That’s fine. I have one anyway, look,” he said as he took his Suppatula card out to confirm what he had just said. “Contact me if you change your mind and are okay with this price.”

“I have few good cards, but I’ll let you know when I’ve got any interesting cards to sell. I don’t actually have that many cards. What I have here actually belongs to my friend. I help her sell it. She has ten-star cards and above as well as an Area Card she wants to sell,” Tan immediately proceeded with his sales strategy. Blanche who was listening to the conversation looked at Tan as soon as he heard what Tan had just said—half of them were lies since he had collected all the cards by himself.

“Can you introduce me to her?”

“Whoa…I’ll lose my share then,” he giggled. His skill at negotiating appeared to be a gift from his mother who was an exporter of IT devices.

“Sly as a fox…” Edward said and laughed. “How about this? I’ll pay a hundred thousand for the Sappatula in exchange for you to let me know first when you get some good cards.”

“Well…let me ask my friend first,” Tan said and opened the communication screen. He tapped on Nicki’s name but did not receive any replies. It was certainly the case…because Nicki was not currently online. It would be strange if he got a reply.

“I can’t reach her. She’s probably not in the game right now, but she’ll be back soon. I’ll let you know later,” Tan said with a straight face.

Edward nodded approvingly. “Okay, keep me posted then, but I have to tell you that I’m giving you a special price only for this one time for the sake of your future good stuff,” he said and left the Sphere.

“That’s awesome. He offered you a very good price, a thousand for that card.” Blanche was delighted. “Why didn’t you sell it? It’s yours, not Nicki’s, or do you want to ask her about the average price first,” he asked.

“Humph…! Everything isn’t as simple as you think, Blanche. Business is all about how well you can deceive others,” Tan replied. “Can you watch my stall for a moment? I want to prove something,” he said.

“It can run itself automatically. There’s nothing for me to watch!” Blanche shouted at Tan who had left the Sphere. Tan actually heard what his friend had said and knew that the stall was run automatically. He said all of that because he did not want to tell Blanche he was planning on going alone, for fear that he would ruin his plan…

Tan tailed Edward and kept a distance. His target wandered around the market, checking here and there; some items were bought, while others were not. Most of his purchases were from stalls that shared similar characteristics.

The stalls that put the item’s name as the name of the stalls, usually only sold one thing.

“This dude is no ordinary,” he said. “He only picked up items that were worth a lot from players who needed the money or who just got the item and needed to sell it to purchase other items.”

Tan followed him until he saw the guy go into a store titled ‘White Tiger for sale.’ His target immediately entered the Sphere and left shortly afterward. A few seconds later, the transparent Sphere was closed. Tan waited for Edward to leave and then walked up to the owner of the store to ask a question.

“Oh! Too bad…I was going to ask about the White Tiger card,” Tan pretended to look for the card. He could not care less about White Tiger, but he might be interested if it were titled ‘Sexy Tiger Lady.’

“I just sold it, bro,” replied the player who appeared to be at a young age.

“How much did you sell it for? Don’t answer me if you don’t want to,” Tan pretended to be polite.

“Two hundred thousand, I’m going to buy a Black Widow Spider card,” he replied. “Do you have that one, a 7-star Black Widow Spider card?”

Tan shook his head and gave him a thank-you gesture for the information. He turned and looked for Edward. Soon, he found his target.

He trailed Edward for almost an hour. After a while, his target entered a store; this store was different from other stores because there was nothing up for sale as well as customers or the seller. However, when Edward went inside and appeared to be preparing something, a list of items for purchasing then popped right up.

One of them was a White Tiger card, selling for 350,000 Gil.

“And you said I was sly as a fox,” Tan said with a smile.

He opened the door and entered Edward’s store. The owner looked at him with surprise, but with his gifted human relations skills, he immediately put on a smile.

“Oh…It’s you. Let’s talk about the price. I’ll pay you if it sounds reasonable.”

“Let’s put that aside and talk about our future,” Tan said, and it made Edward slightly frown.

“You are indeed no ordinary…” he said. “What do you have to offer?” Edward immediately realized that he had met someone with the same business skills as him.

“From my observation, you are the type of person who buys it low and sells it high, right? That White Tiger, for example, you paid 200,000 for it. You offered me 100,000 for my spider card and then plan to sell it for 150,000,” Tan began.

Edward raised his eyebrows. “Oh…How diligent of you to gather the information.”

“I have an offer,” Tan said as he took a card out and showed it to Edward…It was a 10-star Dimension Dragon Eizenger card.

“That’s indeed extraordinary,” Edward said while rubbing his chin.

“My party is going to find more rare items,” he said.

“And…?” Edward inquired.

“We need someone to sell and buy items for us because we don’t have time to do that ourselves. It seems like you prefer selling items and prefer to look at the money than the level. Now you are at less than level 15 and the reason you level up is that you take girls to grind for level,” Tan made an analysis.

Edward could not help but widen his eyes. Even though not everything was correct, at least 80% of it was. “Oh…Do you have a fortunetelling skill or something…? That’s quite accurate,” he giggled. “It’s not just girls though; it has to be pretty girls. Taking a girl for grinding, if she’s pretty…I’ll do anything for her.”
