~Two Days Later~
'Are you all ready? The buses are here,' Luna said happily to the kids. 'Yes,' the children shouted happily. 'Alright, line up, two lines only,' Luna said. The children rushed to line up, 'easy, no pushing,' Luna said, helping a kid who fell get up. 'Is everyone ready?' Huno asked, standing beside the sisters. 'Yeah, we packed the needful,' sister Magdalene said. 'That's good. I'll have Mr Anthony renovate this place and put it out on rent. It will be another source of income,' Huno said. 'Concerning the older ones, Mr Anthony will do his best to find them a job, although it is just a simple request and therefore not an obligation,' he added.. 'I'm overjoyed to hear that,' sister Magdalene said.
'Alright everyone go in, no rushing okay?' Luna said, and the children marched into the two big buses. Luna rushed up to Huno and hugged him from behind. 'Hey, I haven't met your school mate yet,' she whispered. 'We won't meet them,' Huno said. 'What? Why?' Luna questioned immediately. 'We'll be going to back earlier than expected. I've been having a nagging feeling. It's as if something wants me to return quickly,' Huno replied. 'Oh, what do you mean?' Luna asked. 'I may be wrong, but I think something wrong has happened,' Huno replied. 'What are you sure?' she asked. 'No, but the feeling I am having is making me uncomfortable,' Huno replied. A black and white colored car drove into the compound and everyone looked over. 'Mr Anthony is here,' Huno said.
'Hey kiddo, little Mrs, how are you?' Anthony asked, walking over. 'I'm good and happy,' Luna replied. 'That's good, sister Magdalene. We got a lot to discuss. These are a copy of all the orphanage documents under my care. If you don't mind, please ride with me so we can discuss,' Anthony said, giving her five envelopes. 'Here these are the things you requested,' he said to Huno. He gave Huno three envelopes. 'thanks,' Huno said. 'Alright everyone it's time to go, the children have already gotten on the bus,' Anthony said to the sisters. 'Okay let's get in,' a sister said, and the sisters headed to the bus. 'Mr Anthony, a gift for you (he threw a small bag the size of a fist) don't open it until you are alone, for you too sister Sarai, don't open it too,' Huno said and handed her one too. 'Okay, I won't,' she replied. Huno watched the sisters get on the bus before saying, 'these are for you too. Mr Anthony will help take care of them, but they are all yours,'. He handed over the envelope to her. 'I can't accept that Huno, make it the properties of the orphanage,' she said knowing what were in.
'Mother, you must accept it, it is from me. If you do not accept it, you will reject my gift a second time, said Luna, pouting. 'Fine, I accept it but I want it added to...,'
'If you do this, everything I gave to the orphanage will be taken away. Mr. Anthony will explain everything later,' Huno said. 'I still can't believe you can't accept a gift from me sincerely. How sad, these are little compared to what is in that bag,' he added, looking away.
Sister Sarai looked at him. He was facing the buses, 'I'll be so happy to know one day you take me as a son and not as a kid who grew up under your care,' Huno said, then turn to Anthony. 'We won't be going with you guys. There's trouble at our home and we have to go help,' he added. 'Oh, okay, I'll handle everything,' Anthony said. 'Thanks,'.
He turned to Luna. 'you should say goodbye, we may not come back, I'll wait for you at the garden,' Huno said. 'Okay, I'll be right there,' Luna said as Huno walked towards the gate. Luna hugged sister Sarai and said, 'bye mom, it was nice getting to know you. I'll love to bring you with us, but it's quite dangerous over there. Thanks for treating me like a daughter these past few days,'. Luna wore her a necklace, it was completely white having a white star on it. 'Wear it always, (whispers) I'll go say goodbye to everyone, I think you should go talk to Huno.,' she said and hugged her again.
While Luna went to sister Magdalene, sister Sarai walked up to Huno who just walked out the gate. She ran a little before catching up with him. 'Hunochiro, leaving without saying goodbye in person for the second time, is that how you treat your mother? Yet you want me to treat you like a son,' sister Sarai said. Huno stopped walking and turned. 'you were angry at me?' he asked. 'What a pathetic son. He just realized that, why shouldn't I be angry? You left without consulting me. Why did you think I would stop you from leaving?' she asked. Before he replied she continued, 'even I get suffocated being here, everyday I see them and remember Mia but I also thought about you so I didn't leave, then one day you disappeared without a word in advance leaving a useless letter, how do you think I felt? Did you consider that, did you ask the sisters and the others how it was for me when you left, the one I took as my daughter died and then the one I took as my son didn't even regard me as a mother and then he comes back didn't even think of having a one-on-one talk with me while he was around and now he wants to leave without saying goodbye again in person, leaving huge gifts and properties that will one day crumble,'.
'You want...,' 'I'm sorry, I wasn't considerate I'm sorry,' Huno said, interrupting her. 'But you could have just told me that's how you felt,' he added. 'A son can't even know when something is wrong with his mom! Then that son isn't a son,' she said. 'Yeah right, a mother who waits for her daughter-in-law to tell her something is wrong with her son isn't a mother,' Huno said. 'It seems you need a good spanking. Forget how old you are now. I'll still spank you,' she yelled. Huno laughed, 'and how are you going to do that? A million of you couldn't get close to me if I don't want you to,' he said.
'Oh, bragging with strength I see, I'll go tell daughter over there how you wet yourself up when you were ten. She'll love to hear that and more, right?' she said with an evil smile on. 'No one except Mia and I knew, right? It won't be bad to let more people know, haha I wonder what those kids that adore you will think, their idol at fourteen...'. 'Enough you win, you win,' Huno said cutting her statement short.
'What? You don't want me to say it?' she asked. 'Hmm, you know I don't,' Huno pouted, folding his arms. 'Finally, you are behaving like the kid I know and not some matured young man I never knew,' she said happily. Huno smiled, 'long time mom,' he said and hugged her. 'Oh! He finally calls me mom again. I like Lulu better than you,' sister Sarai said.
'Seriously? Why?' Huno asked. 'She seriously takes me as her mother, no matter how many times I correct her she only listen for a while and then goes back to calling me mother or mom but you the supposed son keeps calling me sister Sarai, the last time I heard mom from your mouth was before Mia passed away, after she did you acted as if the only reason you always called me mom was because of Mia,' sister Sarai said. 'I'm sorry, mom,' Huno said. 'It's alright, I don't care if you want to leave, but if you don't take me with you forget about coming back, just stay wherever you go and never come back,' she said. 'Seriously?' Huno raised his head and asked.
'Hundred percent, just take it as you don't have a mom if you leave me,' she replied. Huno looked at her before hugging her tightly. 'Fine,' he said and disengaged. He turned and kept walking.
'fine what?' 'I'm doing what you said,' Huno replied. 'I can't believe you, you will actually choose to abandon me. You are a pathetic son,' sister Sarai yelled. Huno passed the compound gate and shouted, 'Luna we are going, Mr Anthony share those things between any of the kids of your choice,'. 'Okay, are you not going to tell Maria good bye,' Anthony replied. 'No, give her thirty percent as my goodbye gift,' Huno shouted. 'Okay, I will,' Anthony shouted back. Luna arrived beside him. 'let's go?' she asked. 'Yeah, we'll head to the garden and leave from there,' Huno replied. 'Bye Lulu, don't forget me like this boy,' sister Sarai said. 'You didn't tell her?' Luna asked. 'Tell me what?' sister Sarai asked looking at Huno. 'I told husband that if you really wanted to come with us despite knowing it dangerous then we'll bring you along,' Luna replied. 'Oh, Hunochiro you are so annoying,' sister Sarai said.
'You assume too much, mom. I said fine. I didn't say we'll leave you,' Huno said and began walking. 'Hmph, I miss the little kid of yesterday. The matured young man in front of me today is so annoying,' sister Sarai said angrily. 'Yet you care for him so, so much,' Huno said while walking away. 'I think I'll stop and care for Lulu here,' she retorted. 'You can't care for her without caring for me. She won't allow it,' Huno countered. Sister Sarai wanted to say something but didn't know what to say. 'whatever, Lulu, come on tell me all I need to know about where we are going,' she said. 'Okay, I'll tell you as we go,' Luna said, and held her hands. 'Did I really change?' Huno asked. 'Yeah, you're now dependable, though it's quite weird,' sister Sarai replied.
