"Grandma, do you think Dad likes us?" Raina asked as she lay down on the purple decorated bed.

"Of course, darling. We all do…your father and I are grateful for you, my little darlings…He is grateful for both of you" Martha pushed strands of rogue hair away from her face.

"I hope he comes back. I didn't ha…(Raina wanted to say hack but she didn't) I didn't ask the government a lot of questions for him to not want us" Raina said in a low voice.

"He will, he has to" Rhys told her. 

Martha was beginning to realize that her new grandchildren were like a self cleaning oven…it was heartbreaking. Seeing them try to be a pillar for each other was heartbreaking.

"Goodnight, Grandma!" Raina closed her eyes.

"Goodnight, Angel"

"Are you sure you don't want your own room? We've got a lot of them, Rhys"
