To which Kypher nodded before bidding his uncle Goodbye and leaving. Long Feng was too confused to react before forgetting about Kypher visiting him all together.
-----------------------------------------------------
It took them sometime to arrive at Kypher's manor. And after having spent most of his chi of the sound bending, he chose to meditate in his room.
"West, I am going to meditate in my room. When the other come here with the documents I want you to place them in my right desk drawer, before leaving. Do not disturb me. Understood?" He ordered to the Dai Li, who was hidden on top of the room.
Without waiting for a response, he sat on his bed, in the lotus position and started to meditate.
------------------------------------------------------
It was midnight, by the time Kypher opened his eyes. He sensed West's position that had deviated slightly, before walking up to the right drawer and opening it.
Inside he found a large green file, with the earth kingdom emblem.
He sat back down on his bed and opened it. The contents inside the envelope had surprised him. It was no wonder that the Dai Li chose to side with Azula after she offered a partnership. The situation in Ba Sing Se was severe. The king that was chosen was a figurehead and a large amount of recourse was directed to keeping the outside war a secret.
But, what truly surprised him the most, was something else.
Apparently during Roku's lifetime, the fire nation had started to collect large amounts of meteorite metal, that was speculated to be used on Fire Lord Sozin's prototype overland war vehicles. However during the Four nations Summit, almost all of the crates were stolen by an unknown assailant. This theft, was one of the main reasons for the rift between Fire nation, and the Water nation.
But as it turns out, the Dai Li had stashed the meteorite iron, into one of their secret bases in Ba Sing Se, by the orders of the King, at the time. This had completely changed all of the weapon creation plan of his.
Although platinum in LOK, was an unbreakable and unbendable metal, he was still unsure about the validity of such a metal, in addition to being unsure of how to replicate it.
Meteorite iron however, was another topic over all. It was incredibly durable, uncannily sharp. It was something that he had gained access to so why not use it.
"West, come here" He called out, and the unmoving statue that was incredibly still outside sneaking though his window and into the bedroom.
"Yes sir?"
"Tomorrow, I want you to take me to the secret storage where you hold the crates of meteorite iron. And also do the Dai Li have a skilled blacksmith?" He asked West, who responded after a second of thought.
"The Dai Li are taught all specialisations available, including blacksmithing." He paused for a moment before continuing, "Although there are a few soldiers who are better in the aspect compared to others"
"Good, After visiting the storage, take me to the most proficient out of the bunch. You can go back for now. Meet me tomorrow morning. Understood?"
West nodded in understanding, before jumping out of the second story window, into the night.
Kypher went back to bed, but he couldn't fall asleep. He was too excited for tomorrow to even catch a wink of sleep.
-------------------------------------------------
The next morning,
It was a few hours after dawn, when Kypher followed West to the Outside ring of Ba Sing Se, their destination? The Lake Laogai.
Apparently, the lake's main purpose was for secret storage however after Long Feng took command, he converted it into a hypnosis chamber hall. However many storage cells were left untouched, mostly because the value of the recourse was forgotten.
After some walking through the mazes of corridors under the lake, the duo reached an old stone door, that sealed the materials inside. Kypher looked at West, who instead of saying something, he thrust both his hand frontwards before moving them to the side.
The stone sealing the passageway, copied his movements and started to move to the right, leaving an open a large like gap, for Kypher to walk in.
His excitement had peaked, the moment he passed the previously sealed entrance, and his expectation were not disappointed.
In front of him, hundreds and hundreds of sealed creates, filled with meteorite iron. There was more than what he could ever use in his lifetime. And the warehouse was not just filled with many other valuables, such as bending scrolls, gems, crystals. It was a treasure trove.
The gear's in Kypher's head started to turn, thinking for possible ways of using such riches for his own use. An idea had resurfaced in his mind, something that he asked Retu to do. To create a team of benders. A secret force, just like the White Lotus, with the same goal, to keep the world at peace.
He put his thoughts aside for a moment and went towards the closest crates, He grabbed the lid of the gate and sent a small wind slash, that cut the wooden seal. He opened the crates lid, grabbed a large handful of the star iron inside, before closing the lid and walking out of the room, where West was waiting patiently.
The moment Kypher left the warehouse, the door behind him shut under the manipulation of West, and the duo proceeded to find the most proficient blacksmith Dai Li.
-------------------------------------------------
After a little while, West finally stopped in front of a large steel door. Inside the door sound of steel banging steel were resounding at a steady rhythm.
Kypher banged at the door loudly before walking in with West following behind.
"What can I do for you Sir" Said the broad-shouldered man who was standing next to an anvil, with nothing but a thin shirt and pants, His style of clothing was so unconventional of the Dai Li, it amused Kypher.
"What is your name?" Kypher asked the large blacksmith before him.
"Most of the Agents refer to me as Steel, Sir." He said with an blank expression.
"Well, Steel, I happened to find a large deposit of meteorite iron and am in a need of some better weapons. Are you able to forge with star steel?" Kypher asked the man whose face lit up in excitement. It seemed that Kypher was not the only one who was excited at the prospect of the space metal.
"Yes, Sir!" The man nodded with determination, which was visible to the naked eye.
Kypher handed over all of the meteorite iron he grabbed from the crate to the blacksmith, before telling him what he requires. "I need 1 sword, a belt chain with hooks" He then pulled out the diagram of the chakram, with all the measurements, "2 of these, with the precise measurements and the for the remaining make daggers" He asked while taking out one of his own steel daggers as an example.
The blacksmith listened carefully to Kypher's instructions and started to calculate a few things before speaking: " Sir, this is a large order, especially with star steel and its immense heat resistance. It might take a few weeks, maybe even a month, for me to complete all of the items, if I work all by myself. If I bring in some help, the items should be ready in 2 weeks. Is that alright with you?" He carefully asked.
Kypher nodded at the man's request for assistance. He wasn't worried about the Dai Li betraying him. He knew they were very respectful of him, so he wasn't worried. He turned round and left the forge, with West, who was silent the entire time, tailing behind him.
He headed back home on the monorail and started to create future plans for himself and his future secret force.
He had so much to do and so little time remaining until the story begins...
