The chinaisims are still in this novel. So, at times, it sounds like a wuxia. coupled with some communist hate on capitalism. Also, it has really bad sentence structure at times. I have no idea what the main character looks like. Much of the characters are either bland or unlikable. It is a nice idea for a story, but this translation was not done well enough to make it a good read. it can be frustrating at times when you feel you're listening to someone who hit their head, tell a story.
I read in Russian a broken translation of English from a broken translation of Chinese ... imagine how swollen my head)) but in the end I'm sitting on a Chinese site and reading the original ...
