"...iel! ..ziel!"

I heard someone say something.

"AZIEL WAKE UP PLEASE," she screamed, shaking me.

My eyes fluttered opened, and I saw the one who shook me, stir me back to reality. Her face was full of bruises and cuts. I tried to sit up to look around and grasp the situation. I relied on my arms and pushed myself upwards, my entire body shuddering, and I fell back with a thud.

It was as if all the air in me had been sucked out, and I choked, following up with wheezing and heavy breathing. I could understand that I was in a miserable state, but I still had a job to do. I tried to sit up again, with all the force I could get, took in a deep breath, held it, and in one swift push sat up at a right angle, then let go of my breath and coughed.

I gazed upon myself; my armour was absolutely shredded, my skin exposed with quite a few incredible cuts, blood flowing out of them. Almost nothing remained of the shirt I had been wearing, and whatever remained was soaked in blood.

"Oh thank goodness, you're fine, you're alive," she sobbed, sitting cross-legged and held her right arm tightly. I glanced at that arm and grimaced; half of her right arm was gone, blood dripping out. Her armour was in a better condition than mine, but she looked worse than I was.

I took out the shirt, and tightly wrapped it about her arm. She clenched her teeth, and within a few seconds, the dripping reduced.

I forced myself to look away as that was not a sight to behold, and realized I shouldn't have. The entire area was full of corpses, broken houses, buildings, everything burning; a sight enough to make me sure that there was no hope left for us in this world with my current state and level.

I couldn't break my limiter in this life.

And if it was going to end, I had to be the one to do it.

"Well well, if it isn't the returned corpse."

I turned my head, looked right across the girl to where the voice came from and hatred built in me. All of us who fought him till the end were ultimately toyed by him. Standing in its graceful form, elegantly floating slightly above the ground was the one whom I now knew as the fake king of the demons Samael, the one who destroyed the entire population including our king, who was apparently referred to as the 'undefeated' which we later got to know, once he was defeated by just a flick of Samael's hand was a farce.

All I knew was that either it was gonna be me, or him.

"Looks like it's bye-bye time for you two," he said, and smiled creepily. He raised his arms lateral to his waist; purple spherical bombs, beautiful but deadly, circulating the orb full of energy came right up into his palms, ready to blow anything to smithereens.

I wanted to charge him head on, but I knew I couldn't and there was a more important thing to do. I calmed myself, looked at the girl, and told her, "I'm sorry, part of my memory's been taken away, in the time I was mentally not present here, hence I am unable to recognize you and acting distant. There's not much time left before we both are blown to bits, and our world gets destroyed. There's one thing I'll have to do, and we both might be allowed to live again, except in a different place, with different lives. I know it sounds ridiculous coming from me, bu- " she came up to me, touched my lips with her left finger, smiled through the pain, and said, "Do whatever you feel and think is necessary."

I smiled slightly, and closed my eyes, ready to begin the moment I got the Goddess's sign. I would to the maximum possible extent damage him by standing upto my name, which meant 'God is my strength'. My eyes fluttered open, and energy coursed through me again, energizing me to the unhealthy extent that Lady Kenna had referred to for a full minute. I checked my trouser's pocket, to make sure I did keep the kol the moment I blacked out. It was there.

"Just sit tight for a moment, and then do tell me who you are and what are you to me once he's finished," I told her.

I moved away in order to not hurt her. I bent forward slightly to be able to cut through the air, my legs pushed into the ground, didn't include any of the powers I had, and then kicked as hard as possible, zooming in on to the enemy. The ground beneath me shattered and I came face to face with the demon, taking both of us by partial surprise. He went for both my upper and lower limbs with the bombs, intending to completely eradicate me, but I zapped to his back, and gave a full force downward kick, with enhanced energy pull to steal his energy and combine it with mine. His bombs collided, the impact on his face, and he fell face first with impact such high it made a shockwave, pushing me a couple of feet into the air.

I enabled air plates, one of my powers amongst the rarest ones to exist in this world, which allowed me to create invisible plates to stand on in the air at any angle I wished to, and then pushed myself again at the same force, attempting to go through him and even if not obliterate him, at least attach the kol to him with full force.

He glanced sideways, eyes towards me, then grinned and zapped over to the girl, holding her by the neck. She dangled in the air, choked, losing even more blood because of that pressure, her feet kicking him, about to lose consciousness.

"NO!" I screamed.

He laughed, amused. My attack had not affected him at all; he was still overflowing with the power he had. 25 seconds had passed. I launched myself again the moment I landed, heading for his head, but he sent an energy bomb right up my face, which I dodged by spinning, though a little of it did get me, and almost destroyed my arm as well. I got the feeling that it was this energy bomb of his which had taken the girl's arm.

"Now, who is it going to be? You, or the girl?" he asked, still grinning, but evilly this time.

Energy, enhanced with rage was coursing through me. I missed a very good chance to end him right there. 40 seconds had passed. Not much time was left before I ran out of energy, and this world blew apart. The core was extremely destabilized and would burst open within 30 seconds.

I decided to risk myself a little, and used the demons energy, to interchange positions with him. I caught the girl in my arms, and let her down, then pushed myself immediately towards him. There was not much time left to check whether the girl was fine or not. Destruction this time, came first.

13 seconds left.

Samael was slightly spinning because of the sudden change which I had expected to be, and I knew he wouldn't be able to dodge my attack. I pulled out the kol from my pocket, and on reaching arm length, launched it to his stomach, then fell.

6 seconds left.

I got up on my knees, and with the energy left, teleported right next to the girl.

0 seconds left.

It took more time than it might've but I succeeded.

Completely exhausted, I fell back but before hitting the ground, she caught me, and helped me remain upright.

There was a slight aftereffect of that amount of power, and I coughed, spitting out blood. I wiped my mouth on my arm, and turned to the girl.

"Now, who are you?" I asked.

She answered slowly, "I....was the one who got attracted to you, because of how you were to everyone; treating everyone equally and giving it your all to help those in need, without thinking twice or caring about what others will say. Because of that sense of duty, I wasn't accepted by you, despite being with you for over half a year fighting alongside you to build a place of peace. I don't know whether what you said will truly happen as it does sound like a dream. But by any chance if it does happen, let us be together and roam the world." She ended it with a smile.

I didn't know what to say.

"My my, what a touching reunion," said Samael, standing a meter from us, the kol in his hands.

It wasn't supposed to get detached so easily and so quickly, the Goddess had said it was not physically possible to do so; yet he did.

However, it did look like there was some damage, even if not from the kol.

There went my plan of living my life, understand what the girl said, and completely annihilate the kind of demons.

"Looks like all three of us don't have much time left. This world's gonna blow up in 10 seconds and destroy all of us. I had to expend a lot of energy to remove this device, so I won't be able to kill you. But let's meet again, in the other world you're talking about. I'm gonna have a lot of fun destroying you both again!" he laughed, making both me and the girl emotionless.

4 seconds before the earth blew up.

I decided I'm gonna defeat this demon first, and then his father once and for all in the other dimension so that the rest of the dimensions don't get taken over or destroyed, and then hugged the girl, my right hand's palm stroking her head softly.

"Goodbye, let's meet someday again."

0 seconds.

The earth blew up, its energy dissipating us, and I went unconscious, basically dead, thinking that all that happened was a dream, and reincarnation as such is never gonna happen to me and the girl.
