The deep darkness in my eyes felt foreign to me. As my heart beat irregularly, I felt a pressure in my chest; as if something inside me wanted to escape. I had clenched my fists and quickened my steps. When I arrived home, I slammed the door shut.
As soon as I entered, I stood in front of the mirror. My breath deepened, and my head began to spin. In that moment, I felt the change in my body; the blood in my veins flowed heavy and hot, my muscles were tense, and something seemed to be moving beneath my skin. "What is happening to me?" Wiping the cold sweat from my forehead, the familiar yet unknown feeling inside me grew stronger. This was not just a fight; something deeper was taking over me. I clenched my fists and looked at my reflection in the mirror once more. The darkness in my eyes held a wild hunger. My own image appeared mesmerizing to me.
"It's not enough... I want more," I said through clenched teeth. The voice inside me had enveloped my mind like a shadow. This dark desire was uncontrollable. I traced my fingers over my face. My skin felt tougher than before, my muscles more defined. Something was changing; there was a power evolving within both my mind and body.
"More..." These words seemed to slip out of my throat involuntarily. I was no longer the same. As I looked at my reflection, it felt like I was watching someone else.
At that moment, I felt a sharp pain in my body; my bones seemed to be breaking from within. First, a faint cracking sound was heard, followed by a loud snap. I struggled to breathe; my heart raced faster. I could feel something moving beneath my skin; the pain and darkness inside were attacking me. Blood was gushing from everywhere; the pain was unbearable. I could hear my bones breaking in my chest, my abdomen, all over my body.
Suddenly, thin insects began to crawl in from under the door. Black, shiny, and numerous, they started to surround me; each in a different shape, some timid, some boldly advancing towards me. Dozens, hundreds of insects emerged from the dark corners of the house, encircling me. It was as if they were protecting me, wrapping around me with their shells to create a cocoon inside.
I remained in that cocoon for a week. The entire house was filled with different species of insects; their sounds, chirps, and rustling formed a blanket enveloping me. With each passing day, I felt myself getting closer to this complex and chaotic world. I was on the brink of a transformation, in a time when everything was changing.

The Mysterious Man began to speak in a soft tone, his eyes plunged into darkness. "Once, there were tales of something awakening within very few people… A kind of evolution, but not ordinary. This is a process that transforms a human into another being. A change that reshapes the body, dragging the mind into a deep darkness."
His voice grew even colder. "Once this evolution begins, that person can no longer remain human. A hidden power deep within the body is unleashed, turning you into another being. You become a hunter, but you can never choose what you will become. This evolution within you slowly shapes you, completely changing you."
He paused for a moment, then added in a low whisper: "Once it begins, there is no turning back. You are neither human nor can you remain as you were. The evolution hunts you and transforms you into a new being."

As Aren slowly emerged from the warm, dark confines of his cocoon, he felt his muscles tighten with each step. His skin was sticky from the heat of the cocoon; but he was on the threshold of a new life. He first extended his hands outward; when his fingers touched the edge of the cocoon, he felt its cold, rough surface. Carefully, he pulled his body from the narrow confines of the cocoon and stepped outside.
A dark room awaited him. Every corner of the room was covered in spider webs. Hanging a few inches above the floor, a gigantic spider watched Aren's emergence. Its hairs sparkled as they danced in the shadows. As Aren opened his eyes and looked around, he saw thousands of insects moving with delicate legs, dancing before his eyes. Each one was directed towards the falling shards of light.
His heart raced as he asked himself, "What is this?" The room resembled a terrifying labyrinth; every corner had a pest, and every wall a spider web. The darkness created a threatening atmosphere.
Slowly, he turned towards a nearby mirror. The surface of the mirror was dirty and blurry; but as he approached, his reflection became clearer. Among the complex emotions he felt inside, he faced his new image.
He stood 1.90 meters tall, with a muscular and solid body. His long black hair flowed over his torso. His eyes possessed a deep darkness, and beside his heart, there was a distinct black crown pattern. This design gave him both power and a threatening aura.
As he watched himself in the mirror, his heartbeat quickened; he oscillated between his old identity and his new form. In that moment, thousands of insects that had been lost in the room began to dance around him. The myriad of pests treated him like a king. Yet, this situation did not disturb him.
The creaks and the sound of moving legs outside echoed in Aren's mind. He was no longer just a human.
