Yo, I am here to tell you that this story is peak...how can I say that? Uhhhh..then let me point out some things. 1- the main character is so good. He is not your some beta MC. He have a brain, he can think surprisingly, and he knows how to handle situations, and he have a really really good humor 2-now we are talking about comedy then let me say the comedy of this novel is so peak there are times when I just laugh continuously for minutes and the author might be freaky sometimes while writing which is peak 3- Now when we are talking about writing then it's good like really really good grammar is good author usually write in 3rd pov which is i prefer generally and tbh writing is so good that it doesn't seem like the writing of an amateur author NOW...AUTHOR LISTEN TO ME IF YOU DROP THIS NOVEL ISTG…… I THINK YOU KNOW WHAT I WILL DO So conclusion of this yapping is to read this novel it's peak
We've Been Tricked, We've Been Backstabbed and We've Been, Quite Possibly, Bamboozled. FailedWriter101? My. Foot. So yeah, I stated the author was just a new author in my previous review. And I wasn't exactly wrong. But new facts have come to light that has made me review my opinion. The level of improvement this author has shown cannot be explained unless he is a 1000yr old master who is regaining his abilities after a long period of rest. The novel has shown such a stark improvement in the past month or so that I am left bewildered. So yeah, I stated this was a novel with good potential in my previous review. But so were 100s of other extra novels I have seen fail. But contrary to his pen name, this author has been an enormous success. The rate at which his popularity shot up is comparable to how well Extra's Descent did at its early stages. Could this novel be the second coming of ED(Extra's Descent)? Or wait, THIS NOVEL IS ED(Extra's Death). Oh my, oh my, do I smell a connection here? Mayhaps, mayhaps. Coincidence, I think NOT. Ahem, half-baked half-high detective stuff aside, lets move on to the novel. The writing quality has always been good, and it has only improved from the early chaps. In terms of update stability, the author is a beast of writing, maybe on magecrafter levels but he did manage to reach the 100 chapter mark in just a little over a month of beginning to write. That is plenty commendable in my humble opinion. In terms of story development and world background, top notch, as always. From the very beginning it was very clear that the author has put much thought into these aspects. Moving on to the most important factor, character design. The extra trope is a washed and repeated trope on this platform. I have read 100s of novels of the theme, and the one of the, if not the only part that always stays as the deciding factor whether or not an extra novel succeeds is always the character designs. AND THIS NOVEL EXCELS AT THIS. Hot mommy? Check. Hot daughter of hot mommy who is a senior at the academy? Check. Hot OP girl from the same year? Check.(best girl btw) Wait, wait, wait. Just because I only listed the female characters doesn't mean this novel is a harem or that there are no important male characters. It's just that I focus on the female characters more. The male characters well, uhh, they exist. They... do stuff?(icl, i havent even looked at their character arts). At any case, they are important to the plot and are good characters too(i am pretty sure). CONCLUSION: So, well, yeah, that's about it. If you are into novels of this type(with extras, and weak to strong mc, and academy arcs), I would 10/10 rec this to you. But if you are here because you are into mythos, then well, there hasn't been much to see for now. I mean, we haven't even seen hades yet and that guy's name is a part of the novel's name. So in the end whether or not you will like this novel depends on what you are looking for. One thing I can assure you though is the fact that you won't dislike this novel even if it isn't what you want to read. Finally, I would like to mention(threaten) the author by saying that I will [REDACTED] his ahh with my [REDACTED] if Morrigan di Montaigne ain't the fml.
If you can fix the grammatical errors and typos then this novel is peak. Great world building, character development and story development.
I'm not really complaining BUT you should delete the overpowered tag, cause the novel itself is not bad, but it has nothing to do with overpowered, MC is hyper mega WEAK, he is pathetically weak (strength wise) that it absolutely makes no sense, I started reading with some expectation (cause he is the son of one of the big three + the tag) and so far = I'm really disappointed... maybe it gets better later? But, like, I'm already at chapter 50... will read a few more to see if smt change, if not, then I will probably drop, no point in reading with MC being in the state he is rn.

I'm dropping this book. But not for the reasons one would expect. In fact , the story is well-written . The characters I have seen so far( except Amelia) are interseting( even elizabeth’s adopted children), the plot is slowly uncovering and the aventure promises to be exciting! But that said , this book just has too many pet peeves of mine for me to be willing to continue. First , the annoying female companion trope. Really they are not cute! To me they just mess up good books . And the fact that they are reoccuring characters makes it even harder for me to get through a read when such a character is in. Second , the " oups! It’s an opportunity for the perverted ones~" trope. Creating situations to sexualize Mc or other characters just doesn’t sit well with me . It’s not funny, it doesn’t sevre the plot , it takes away some of the charisma of the characters... So I just don’t understand the reason why so many authors like this! As of chapter 23 , there had only been two such scenes. But it was enough for me to understand that the author would continue in the same way. Third ,"all the main girls are sexually/romantically interested in Mc "trope. This is the major reason why I'm dropping this . Seeing as they are in the characters sheets , I get that Elizabeth and amelia are proeminent characters in the story. But it’s such a shame that the author made them both interested romantically in the Mc( or is at least headed this way). That’s why whenever I try to read further and I see Elizabeth is involved , I' m just unable to continue because my heart aches at the sight Of the big wasted potential she is. Can’t there ,for once, be a female main character who is not the mc’s love interest but has a great friendship with him? Neo and Elizabeth 's first meeting , ignited this hope in me. But then they went to sit naked in the divine pond and it just showed the author's intentions. It’s not a bad thing . It’s the author 's choice . The problem lies with me so I'm only expressing my feelings so that others with such pet peeves can be fixed on what to and what not to expect. Aside from all that , I still recommend this strongly to anyone the afore stated things do not annoy. And for the author :May God bless your writing journey !

Damn man, I’m liking the story but you gotta step up and do a better job describing the surroundings, because like where the hell are they right now in chapter 128 - 129? The next chapter it looks like they were eating a lot of food, so I guessed they were in the cafeteria, but then the prinicipal and other showed up so I’m thinking no way they are talking in the cafeteria. Also that comment of Arthur and Mars getting closer is just so random out of nowhere, like where’s there interaction where you can say they are becoming closer. I do understand it is your first book and I do still like it, I fill in the gaps mostly but kind of hard to do sometimes. So I feel if you improve at writing in the details, it will elevate the story to another level.

Honestly this novel has incredible potential, It's only just started but I think it's safe to say that there is a great future ahead for this so called 'failed writer'. The novel has a complex yet intriguing world background, with layers that are further revealed as the story progresses which tell us that the nature of Neo's current situation is far more convoluted than it, at first, seems. The power system, is linear and simple, but also extremely satisfying. The simplicity of it makes combat scenes easier to follow and visualise, when paired with the author's talent in descriptive writing. The story, in and of itself is given substance by the side characters, and the incredibly vast world background. The MC is able to make use of two worlds, where he secretly trains in the underworld whilst others are asleep and when he wakes up, he only trains even more during his time at the academy. The only problem is the occasional grammar errors, but these are minor and don't affect understanding that much. Honestly there's not much more I can say but tell you to read this story, because missing out on such a gem should be considered a crime. This is by far my favourite pick out of the rising fictions on Webnovel, and it's not even close. If anyone is still reading this stop wasting your time and read the novel, it won't disappoint.

if u r looking for a good, weak to strong character, I seriously recommend this novel 👌. the author doesn't waste too much time , nor does he rush it too fast for Neo to get stronger. while he was still weak, there were many interesting plots to keep the readers engaged. like, srsly, it's been a whole since I've seen an extra novel that captivates ur attention only in the first few chapters. the character traits are spot on, the plots and arcs are interesting, and the world background design is well thought of, akso the updating stabilty and quantity is very ok. the author really did a good job with this, and I hope it continues to stay like this. You have Mt support every step of the way 💯 🙌.

Funny how a dude named Failed writer managed to write a good story, Oh and I saw your other story, what's the update schedule gonna be like.
Im going to give this novel a 5 because I do think it deserves it so read it if your hesitating. I was initially put of because reading about descendants of ancient gods didnt really appeal to me but this is actually really good, In all honesty the best thing the author did about this novel is the characters. I like the mc personality and his amazing planning. I also love his brother but im so upset hes not had enough screentime, and hes been hyped up so much by the author so im looking forward to him doing something crazy if someone hurts Neo, and then everyone realising Neos background is amazing. We were also so close to seeing Elizabeth ( my fav ) about to do something with Neo until ahem. Im on about chapter 100, so some of the flaws I would say are him overlooking his "past self" warnings. This just feels so idiotic and flawed imo, if I was in his position I would absolutely take it into consideration. Also sending the students into such a dangerous gate is also pretty reckless, like most of the god clans peak descendants will most probably perish. Does the principal not understand this? What about the backlash? Mcs brothers going to end up destroying the continent lol. In my opinion I will give this a 4.75, I absolutely reccomend reading

Not my cup of tea, I suppose 😔!! Too bland, not exciting enough 🤕. Neo, he behaves okay, but too much plot armour coming in some places.
What can we say... ? the novel is both good and bad 😭 So listen, the author tries in no way at all to create an immersive world. There are no elaborated descriptions of the scenery to have the readers lose themselves in the story. the world is... just words. The A Building, the B Building and the occasional some certain effects.. its almost like a script designed for a manga or manhwa. During fights, there isn't any witty or clever moves or mental struggle... just descriptions of the character did this and the character did that. also.. there are a LOT of fights. [img=recommend][img=recommend] there is hardly any political schenes as of yet.. and I doubt they will appear either the way it's progressing. the characters, the typical plot armoured character. with good character designs... but of course. not very bright characters overall. The mc can just play almost anybody in his hand... I guess you can associate that part with his knowledge of the novel? Still.. . fact remains it they r too simple.. Not too much expression of emotions either... so.. what dies the story even have for Me to rate it as I did? An amazing and apparently extensive and deep plot. lots of fight... if you just take the story as is... a manhaw in your head... it's pretty good... mainly because the author isn't even trying to provide the things I described the story to lack... they are absent outright... so if you like it... you will like it... if you want a novel with romance and a plot you can predict, read this. If you're looking for a level up type fantasy the elements are here but they take the backseat in favor of romance.

I like what I am seeing so far. The careless grammar mistakes have been pretty crippling though. Missing words, missing possessives, misplaced commas, and typos are all making it really hard to pay attention to the flow of the story because at least something is off every few pages. You gotta proof read…
ngl this is the best novel I read in a long while in like 1 year or so the main character is good written and the plans are actually good and it isn't something u can predict from 10 chapter ago like most novel with "smart mc" so in short this novel is masterpiece

Honestly very good writing. One of the best I've read in fact, but there are a few things that make this story very very hard to read. Just two but it checked off my do not like tropes list for stories. Number one would be the fact that almost all female characters and even some male characters shit on the MC constantly. (And not random characters most of the time, close-ish characters) Number two, the MC just accepts and takes it without even voicing any complaints like he likes it. (I mean, he might. I only read up to about chapter 60 or 70ish.) For example, Spoilers. . . . . . . . . . He makes a deal with someone. Said someone doesn't like how he trains. Said someone then goes back on their word, their deal, their promise. Said someone does this even though the MC literally saved their life, and the deal was for this act. Another would be his close family member. It was funny at first how he acts towards the MC but to act that way every single interaction. wth. I know there are a lot of tropes in this novel but when said trope is their only personality to the extreme. Like I said, very hard to read. If you've read this review this far, give it a shot. It might tickle your funny bone.

pretty good story with a lotta views but only 29 reviews so here I am giving my two cents- first of all, no, the mc doesnt give care about the plot changing and it doesn't stop him from doing what he wants yes, he actually has a brain and uses it quite well the romance was done much better than expected the world has been explored a bit but only the parts necessary for the arcs so a lot of it is still left and finally, the number of chapters. All im gonna say is its been barely 2 months and 140 chapters are out so yea... Peace

Not my cup of tea, I suppose 😔!! Too bland, not exciting enough 🤕. Neo, he behaves okay, but too much plot armour coming in some places.
What can we say... ? the novel is both good and bad 😭 So listen, the author tries in no way at all to create an immersive world. There are no elaborated descriptions of the scenery to have the readers lose themselves in the story. the world is... just words. The A Building, the B Building and the occasional some certain effects.. its almost like a script designed for a manga or manhwa. During fights, there isn't any witty or clever moves or mental struggle... just descriptions of the character did this and the character did that. also.. there are a LOT of fights. [img=recommend][img=recommend] there is hardly any political schenes as of yet.. and I doubt they will appear either the way it's progressing. the characters, the typical plot armoured character. with good character designs... but of course. not very bright characters overall. The mc can just play almost anybody in his hand... I guess you can associate that part with his knowledge of the novel? Still.. . fact remains it they r too simple.. Not too much expression of emotions either... so.. what dies the story even have for Me to rate it as I did? An amazing and apparently extensive and deep plot. lots of fight... if you just take the story as is... a manhaw in your head... it's pretty good... mainly because the author isn't even trying to provide the things I described the story to lack... they are absent outright... so if you like it... you will like it... if you want a novel with romance and a plot you can predict, read this. If you're looking for a level up type fantasy the elements are here but they take the backseat in favor of romance.

I like what I am seeing so far. The careless grammar mistakes have been pretty crippling though. Missing words, missing possessives, misplaced commas, and typos are all making it really hard to pay attention to the flow of the story because at least something is off every few pages. ngl this is the best novel I read in a long while in like 1 year or so the main character is good written and the plans are actually good and it isn't something u can predict from 10 chapter ago like most novel with "smart mc" so in short this novel is masterpiece

Honestly very good writing. One of the best I've read in fact, but there are a few things that make this story very very hard to read. Just two but it checked off my do not like tropes list for stories. Number one would be the fact that almost all female characters and even some male characters shit on the MC constantly. (And not random characters most of the time, close-ish characters) Number two, the MC just accepts and takes it without even voicing any complaints like he likes it. (I mean, he might. I only read up to about chapter 60 or 70ish.) For example, Spoilers. . . . . . . . . . He makes a deal with someone. Said someone doesn't like how he trains. Said someone then goes back on their word, their deal, their promise. Said someone does this even though the MC literally saved their life, and the deal was for this act. Another would be his close family member. It was funny at first how he acts towards the MC but to act that way every single interaction. wth. I know there are a lot of tropes in this novel but when said trope is their only personality to the extreme. Like I said, very hard to read. If you've read this review this far, give it a shot. It might tickle your funny bone.

pretty good story with a lotta views but only 29 reviews so here I am giving my two cents- first of all, no, the mc doesnt give care about the plot changing and it doesn't stop him from doing what he wants yes, he actually has a brain and uses it quite well the romance was done much better than expected the world has been explored a bit but only the parts necessary for the arcs so a lot of it is still left and finally, the number of chapters. All im gonna say is its been barely 2 months and 140 chapters are out so yea... Peace
