As they pulled into the driveway, the familiar warmth of home greeted Irene and Lily. The camping trip had been a temporary escape from reality, but now they were back in the world where their true feelings mattered most.
Lily stepped out of the car first, stretching her arms above her head. "I never thought I'd miss our bed so much," she said with a playful smile, glancing back at Irene.
Irene chuckled, gathering their bags from the trunk. "I know what you mean. As fun as camping was, there's nothing like home."
They carried their bags inside, the quiet hum of the house welcoming them back. Irene set down her bags and turned to Lily, who was already untying her boots, looking relaxed and content.
"Want to order in tonight?" Irene suggested, "I'm too tired to cook."
Lily looked up, her eyes sparkling with warmth. "Sounds perfect. How about Thai?"
