The sky of Konoha burned in a bloody red, while the deafening roar of the Kyubi made the village tremble.
Amidst the chaos and destruction, on a distant tree, Chen remained strangely serene. His all-seeing eyes observed the scene with curiosity and disdain.
"Well, well... the shovel that pathetic monkey transformed into is surprisingly impressive," he murmured. With a fluid motion, he pulled out a glowing golden shovel, a lottery prize. "I wonder how it would compare to my little toy."
...
"TSUNADE!" Hiruzen's desperate cry resonated through the scene. His face was contorted with fear and urgency. "For everything you hold dear, now is not the time to sink into sorrow! The Kyubi is about to devastate the village! If you don't help us stop it now, there will be nothing left to protect!"
Tsunade, kneeling beside Mito's lifeless body, looked up.
Her eyes were clouded with tears and pain. For a moment, it seemed she hadn't heard anything, lost in her own world.
"Grandmother..." Her voice was barely a whisper, almost drowned out by the constant roar of the Kyubi and the panicked screams that filled the air. "Grandmother said... 'If the Kyubi wants to leave, let it go'." The words came out like a plea.
The silence that followed Tsunade's words was more terrifying than any Kyubi roar. Hiruzen, the man who always had an answer, was left speechless.
Let the Kyubi go? It was unthinkable. Sweat beaded on his forehead as his eyes frantically scanned the scene of destruction surrounding them.
The Kyubi wasn't just a beast; it was a weapon, the last line of defense against the ambitions of other ninja villages. Losing it would be like signing Konoha's death sentence.
"T-Tsunade," he began again, his voice trembling slightly, struggling to maintain composure. "I know pain blinds you, but you must see beyond. Konoha is on the brink of war. Our borders are under constant threat. Even the insignificant Village of Rain dreams of becoming the sixth shinobi power. Without the Kyubi, we'll be like a wounded deer surrounded by hungry wolves. Every village will see us as easy prey. We cannot... we must not allow the Kyubi to leave."
As he spoke, his eyes fell on the few remaining members of the Senju clan, gathered around Mito's body.
Once the most powerful clan, they had dominated the turbulent period of clan wars.
Now, reduced to a handful, they seemed more fragile than ever.
Tsunade, still kneeling beside Mito's body, closed her eyes tightly. Her sensei's words echoed in her mind, mixing with the screams of terror. Her heart was torn between the pain of loss and duty to Konoha.
Finally, she opened her eyes, a new determination shining in them.
"You're right," Tsunade said, her voice broken. "I can't let pain blind me. Grandmother and grandfather... They dedicated their lives to protecting this village. I can't dishonor their memory by allowing everything they fought for to be destroyed."
With a smooth movement, Tsunade stood up, holding Mito's body in her arms, and turned to the few members of the Senju clan.
"You"
Gently, Tsunade handed Mito's body to two of the closest Senju. "Take her to a safe place. Her sacrifice will not be in vain."
The Senju nodded solemnly, receiving Mito's body with reverence. Tsunade watched them for a moment, allowing herself one last instant of mourning before turning to Hiruzen.
....
In the midst of this hell, Kurama rose like a living mountain of fury, its nine tails whipping through the air and demolishing everything in their path.
Suddenly, he felt a presence on his head, a presence that made every hair on his body stand on end with terror.
Kurama found himself paralyzed by a fear he hadn't felt in centuries.
With a slow and trembling movement, he looked up.
There, standing on his head with the most natural calm, was a being that emanated an aura that seemed to merge with the world itself, but that same aura made Kurama himself seem insignificant.
An Otsutsuki dressed entirely in black, with skin as white as the moon and lavender eyes with a pulsating golden pattern that seemed to contain entire galaxies.
"Well, well, little fox!" Chen's voice resonated with a mocking tone. "Looks like you're having a wild party! Mind if I join? I promise not to step too hard!"
Kurama's initial terror began to mix with growing anger. His eyes, previously dilated with fear, narrowed into slits of burning fury. "D-damn Otsutsuki," he growled. "Get off me right now, or I swear I'll rip that arrogant smile off your face!"
Chen, far from being intimidated, let out a laugh. With a movement, he jumped off Kurama's head, remaining suspended in the air.
"Oh, little fox," Chen sang, his eyes shining with amusement, "is this how you treat your guests? And here I thought tailed beasts had better manners. I guess a beast will always be a beast, huh?"
Kurama's fury reached stratospheric levels. The initial fear completely evaporated, replaced by burning hatred.
"YOU!" Kurama roared, his voice causing the ground to crack beneath his paws. "You may not be like the other Otsutsuki, but I swear I'll tear you apart limb by limb! No one mocks the great Ku... the mighty Kyubi!"
Amidst the destruction, a group of ninjas watched the scene in amazement. Among them, Hiruzen looked with eyes wide open at the interaction between the unknown being and the Kyubi.
"W-who the hell is that?" whispered a Jonin. "How can anyone be so close to the Kyubi and still be alive?"
"It's... impossible," muttered another, falling to his knees. "First the Kyubi, and now... what is that thing? We're doomed!"
Hiruzen, struggling to maintain composure, stepped forward. His voice came out as a frightened croak: "Y-you! Who are you? Why have you appeared in the Village of Konoha in the midst of this chaos?"
Chen, still floating in the air, slowly turned to look at the ninjas. At that precise moment, his appearance changed drastically.
The clothes he was wearing transformed in a blink, materializing into an imposing white cape with golden shoulders, like that of a naval admiral. His face was hidden behind a mask similar to Obito's, with two holes covered by black lenses that completely hid his eyes.
"Don't tell me that's Chen..?" Tsunade murmured.
"Oh, me?" Chen replied with a voice that sounded too cheerful for the situation. "I'm nobody important. Just a casual tourist passing by who decided to join the party. As for why I'm here..." His voice turned more serious, sending chills down the spines of everyone present. "I'm here for that adorable ball of fur and teeth you call Kyubi."
Upon hearing these words. Kurama, with his eyes bloodshot with fury, opened his mouth and began to concentrate a monstrous amount of chakra.
Small particles of light, black and white, began to swirl in front of him, forming into a sphere of pure energy that grew at an alarming rate.
"He's going to use the Tailed Beast Bomb!" shouted a ninja, his voice broken with panic. "If that thing explodes, there will be nothing left of Konoha!"
The sphere continued to grow until it reached a colossal size, rivaling Kurama himself in dimensions.
Chen, still floating in the air with his new admiral appearance, observed the scene with calm.
"Are you angry, beast?" Chen's voice sounded with a playful touch. "Good, let me show you true power. Susanoo!"
With these words, a torrent of chakra emanated from his body, so dense that it was visible to the naked eye.
The chakra began to take shape, materializing into a colossal figure that eclipsed even Kurama.
Chen's Susanoo rose majestically, reaching a height that exceeded 100 meters.
Its form was that of a Valkyrie wrapped in dark tengu armor.
The Konoha ninjas, including Hiruzen, watched the scene in disbelief.
The Susanoo was so large that the Kyubi now looked like a puppy in comparison.
"Impossible..." muttered Sarutobi, his eyes wide open. "That Susanoo... is even bigger and more powerful than Madara's. What kind of monster is this?"
The Susanoo extended a hand, and in it materialized a sword of pure energy, so long that it could cut mountains in half with a single movement.
Danzo couldn't contain his bitterness. "It's the Uchiha family again, it has to be! Those damned... they're a cancer that Konoha shouldn't allow."
"Danzo!" Hiruzen shouted in warning.
Kurama, with his Bijudama fully formed, fired it with a deafening roar.
The sphere of concentrated energy sped at a dizzying speed, leaving in its wake a trail of destruction that disintegrated everything in its path.
Observing the attack calmly. Chen, with a fluid movement, brandished his sword. The blade cut through the air with a sharp whistle, intercepting the Bijudama in mid-flight.
The clash between the Susanoo's sword and the Bijudama created an explosion of blinding light.
An apocalyptic shockwave spread in all directions, uprooting trees, pulverizing rocks, and sending flying the ninjas who hadn't managed to take cover.
When the light dissipated and the dust began to settle, the scene revealed a transformed landscape. Where once there were dense forests, now a smoking crater extended.
Kurama, momentarily stunned by the explosion, shook his enormous head to clear his vision. It was at that instant that Chen decided to attack.
The Susanoo moved with impossible speed for something of its size.
Its sword, still vibrating with the residual energy of the Bijudama, described a bright arc in the air. Kurama, realizing too late the danger, tried to dodge, but the blade found its target.
A scream of pain tore through the air as the Susanoo's sword cleanly severed three of Kurama's tails.
The severed tails fell heavily to the ground, each the size of several buildings. The impact made the earth tremble, causing nearby damaged structures in Konoha to collapse.
Kurama howled again, his eyes, previously filled with anger, now showed a flash of something no one had seen before: fear.
From atop his Susanoo, Chen looked down at the wounded beast. His voice filled with disdain:
"Kyubi. Your strength disappoints me greatly. I thought the tailed beasts would be a greater challenge, considering all the fuss they cause. How about you use some of your true power to excite me? Otherwise, I'm afraid I'll have to keep pruning you."
