章節 48: Moving Shadows

Talon found himself in the middle of the streets of Randel in the dead of night, wearing his Stone Ridge wolf coat, now somewhat mended after the ambush.

Despite its previous tear, the coat still provided some protection against the biting chill of the night, though its patches couldn't fully ward off the cold.

The air was so frigid that his breath formed wisps of vapor, a visible reminder of the bitter cold. His hands, stained red from the frost, he repeatedly attempted to warm with his breath, but to little avail.

As he looked around the city, all he could see were destroyed remnants of the lovely homes of Randel, every house nothing more than a destroyed pile of ashes.

'What the hell is happening here?!' Talon panicked by what he was seeing, his mind was racing as he tried to figure out why were the streets of Randel in this way.

'Don't tell me… fallen?!' This was the only viable explanation for the situation.
