As Orion expected, the letter indeed was about his new book, the Ministry just congratulated him on his accomplishment and wanted to reward him. Although that's just in the name and honestly he doesn't believe those bastards will do that.
In fact, he swears that they might have already banned his book if Dumbledore hadn't made his move and involved himself and the entire light fraction in this dispute.
Overall the current situation was going in his favour, they won't be banning his book, of course, they might charge him for his bad language but Orion was planning to rectify that anyway. So it doesn't matter. By next year that won't be an issue anymore.
So from this point onwards, he expects almost everyone to maintain an okayish relationship with him. A little less favourable attitude than what Rose gets as everyone is licking her for what happened. Orion is okay as long as he can get stronger in silence.
That was the first part of the letter, nothing but fake words and congratulations, the second part though was something that made him groan immediately.
The Ministry asked for his interview and sent their best journalist to do the job.
'Yup, you guessed it, It's Rita Skeeter.'
He had thoughts about denying the interview but Dumbledore advised him to take it. Now the situation was more complicated than that, it was not just him not wanting to waste his time on that woman but also Dumbledore's face. It will be a bad sign if he doesn't listen to him, even after indirectly the old man helps him.
So groaning internally he just accepted to take the interview. The date was fixed for sometime next week. Orion can only chuck that time to Rita needed time to read his book and form questions about that book.
Sigh again, he left Dumbledore's office pondering why Dumbledore wanted him to take the interview.
'I got no idea, I am just not interested in politics and all this drama,' Orion whines, he's just a 12-year-old for god sake, let him have his childhood.
[Think about it my young Apprentice, you are not thinking but just whining. I too never liked politics but it's an important part if you want to become strong. No famous and strong person is excepted from the politics surrounding him. You can't escape this] Merlin said with a serious tone as if he was not joking.
'hmm, well let's see, maybe he wanted to save his connection with the Ministry and Fudge as if I don't do that then most likely it will bite him in the ass later on,' Orion pondered about it a little and then said.
[Not bad, and that could be a case, there are other reasons as well like by giving an interview after him convincing you, you are showing that you are already a part of the light fraction, someone under Dumbledore or maybe indirectly your book has something to do with Dumbledore] Merlin replied, unlike Orion, he was not a naive young man.
Merlin has seen dynasties falling and rising in his life. He knows what role Politics play and how manipulating and far-sighted some people's actions could be. And unfortunately for Orion, Dumbledore is that kind of man. He hates to say it but Dumbledore knows how to play this game.
Being a prodigy in magic and business is one thing, but Orion is fairly naive when it comes to politics. Merlin just shook his head, adding one more thing he wanted to teach Orion. In fact, considering how Orion has already done with most of his second-year Hogwarts studies and how Merlin won't be teaching new magic to him until he learns Force to an appropriate level.
Merlin decided to start teaching Orion other subjects like ancient literature, politics, mannerisms and much more which he might need in future.

-Room Of Requirement-
After meeting with Dumbledore, Orion also had to visit McGonagall in his free time. Thankfully this conversation was much quicker and straightforward.
McGonagall wanted Orion to join the Gryffindor team. Not an outcome that Orion didn't see coming but he needed more time to decide whether he really wanted to go that route. After all, this will definitely hinder his magic practice.
So it would be an understatement to that McGonagall was surprised when Orion didn't jump at the chance to join the Quidditch team as any student would do.
Orion on the other hand pondered and only replied with one thing. "I need time to think about it,".
Again a response which left the old witch stunned but she hurried to regain her composure and agree. She didn't try to convince Orion or anything, knowing that out of all the students she had ever taught, Orion was the most willful.
She will only try to convince him if he decides not to join.
----
"Alright, tell me what you want to teach me now. I am dying to learn new magic already," Orion eagerly asked with excitement in his voice.
He has already mastered the one-sided aspect of force, meaning he was able to control his magic perfectly to use force. The only thing which was stopping him was to utilise the natural magic to improve his power. This particular one was really hard for him. This is also why he needed a place with nature to practice.
Merlin won't teach him new magic until he completely masters force, and thus it is surprising for Orion that he is finally willing to do so.
[I know, I know. Don't shout. Geez]
[Anyway, what I am going to teach you is not technically magic in the purest sense. Before I teach you this new thing, I have to explain the Law to you.
This new thing is actually called the Law of Presence] Merlin said and let the word sink in.
Orion though, rather than claming down, became more excited. He only has heard Merlin still now talking about the law but the old man will never teach him anything more. Finally, he will get some answers.
[Now listen carefully and don't interrupt. There are two governing factors in this or any universe. This is in fact not that big of a secret. It's Order and Chaos.
By nature, Chaos creates and destroys while Orders maintain and function.
But unknown to many, there is a third element at play. This is not exactly a governing factor like Order or Chaos but rather a hard-line rule on how those two factors work together.
This thing is called Law.
Here is a simple example, Birth is a by-product of Chaos, I already told you that without Chaos, aka the raw form of magic, life can't exist. Chaos is also a form of energy and the Muggle rule applies here as well. Energy can't be created nor it can be destroyed.
The saying that everyone is alive in borrowed time is not wrong, birth needs much chaotic energy and when someone dies, that chaotic energy will be returned to the universe.
In the same way, the process between birth and death can be said to be order. Everything happening around you to this date is in order. Anything which is not creation or destruction can be said to be Order.
Law on the other hand is the bridge which connects these two distant yet necessary powers together. Like it's the Law of Nature that those who get life will one day die. This law can't be changed and so on.
Remember the first Law of Magic which I taught you ?] Merlin explained and lastly asked.
Orion nodded, "Chaos and Order don't exist together. Magic is chaos meaning it brings the change in the natural order of things to change reality," Orion immediately states, finding this all cosmic bullshit fascinating. He was kind of a kid who liked Geography class just because it had classes on the universe and what exists in it.
What kid doesn't find stars and the sky fascinating?
[Nice, now keep that in mind when he starts learning more about laws. In fact, we have already to some extent started learning about the law.] Merlin said and this confused Orion.
[Before you ask, no we have not learned any form of Law yet but we are very close. Why do you think I am so apparent in you focusing on Force that much? When mastered to a high enough level, magic bending becomes the Law of Space.
Right now you are just learning how to use magic to move things around. You have already mastered with your own side and only mastering this from nature's side is left. But once you master this to the extent where you are no longer just bending force but bending space itself. You have already entered into the realm of one of the 3 major Law practitioners.]
"Three Major Laws, what are they," Orion asked getting curious.
[That is not important here but now that you have asked me, let's answer that question. What do you think are the 3 major aspects of this world?] Merlin asked showing patience with an excited kid in front of him.
Orion thought about it and ended up connecting this thing which Merlin was teaching much with what Marvel represents with their infinity stones.
"Reality, Space, Time, Soul, Mind and Power," Orion was not answering Merlin but muttering to himself, assured that the answer was among these six names.
[Yes, you are on the right track. Let me explain this time as this topic right now has nothing to do with our learning of law. Rather not waste time here.
The 3 Major Laws are Space, Time and Matter. And if you are using the word Reality for Matter then don't although in a way it's fine but it will later just confuse you.
Not to mention Mind, Soul and Power don't exist in these factors. Mind is an invalid concept as Law doesn't have a mind but just rules. The soul falls in the jurisdiction of Chaos and lastly Power. Well, power is a universal phenomenon so don't apply it here.
Back to the topic, Law is how chaos and Order coexist together. Consider it a piece of software which makes incompatible hardware work in conjunction.
If I have to give you an example consider Thor from Avengers. Fictional character it may be but the rules of law apply to him as well. As you already know Thor doesn't have magic. But he can still control thunder and that too to an absurd degree. So much so that people started to call him the god of thunder.
This application of thunder is law, where his affinity for thunder was so high that he was able to manipulate thunder. This manipulation of an element without any particular source of power converted into electricity can be considered a law.
When we use magic, we need to burn our magic power to achieve that magic. Law is different as we don't use our magic but rather the elements in nature.] Merlin said and Orion's mind lit up like a 200-watts blub was turned on.
"The natural aspect of Force," He muttered in realization.
[YUP, you can master that then you will enter into the level of Law Of Force Practitioner. Even in ancient times, law users were very rare. Let alone the user of 3 major laws.] Merlin said with a smile on his face.
He didn't say just how ridiculous of a task it is to pull off the Law of Space or any 3 major laws for that matter. Orion literally makes it look like a child's play. Even quote-and-quote geniuses can't learn in their life time, what Orion has achieved in just under 3 months.
Merlin too took 90 years to master this law. And Here Orion completed half of it in just under 90 days. But he won't say it, can't let his student have a big mind anytime soon.
"That's cool, what kind of law do you know ?" Orion asked with delight. Wanting to know more about Law.
[Oh amm, well I am more of a Jack of All Trade kind of a guy. I learned many laws but was never able to master one to the utmost degree.] Merlin replied with a little embarrassment on his face, which totally went unnoticed by Orion, this was one of the sore subjects he had, even the great Merlin didn't have to affinity or talent to pull off a complete master of a law.
"Oh, well I can understand having more elements to control is better than just going on about one aspect.] Orion thought and said.
[No no, that is not the case, I didn't master any because I was too naive back then. I prefer learning new things and neglected mastering one. I still regret about that. It might sound good but completely mastering one Law is better before moving towards another. I am only teaching you the law of Presence just because we have no other chance. That's it] Merlin said, he definitely can't let Orion waste his time just learning about all Law's half-ass. but at the same time, he can't tell him that he himself too couldn't do what now he is expecting Orion to achieve.
"Oh okay," Orion showed a cute confused face on this sudden outburst and weird behaviour on Merlin's part but didn't give much thought to his excitement.
"Alright then, I am ready. Teach me this Law of Presence," Orion said and smiled.

Another huge chapter but was important as an entirely new power system is getting introduced. The law will be a major deal in future chapters and power scaling. So explaining the power of law was important. "
