章節 8: Chapter 7

I used my power over the wind to call upon Atlas, with the wind whispering in his ears.

"Medusa, this is Atlas my first subordinate."

"Atlas, this is Medusa, a new dragoness that is close to reaching a Dragon King level."

They complimented each other and I did not lose time.

"Atlas do you know where I could find you, brother Prometheus?" I asked.

" My cunning brother. I do not know. I only heard that he was punished by Zeus."

"He was punished for stealing the fire from the gods to give to mankind."

"My brother made something like that."

" The Titan of forethought, really loved his creation, the humans."

[Author note: Atlas and Prometheus origin vary a lot from myth to myth. I chose to make them both sons of Gaia and Ouranos because Atlas seems too strong to be a third-generation Titan and Prometheus too relevant in regards to fate, as he gave fire to humanity to be one.]

I took a while to locate the Titan. Prometheus was bound to a rock, and an eagle—the emblem of Zeus—was sent to eat his liver (in ancient Greece, the liver was thought to be the seat of human emotions). His liver would then grow back overnight, only to be eaten again the next day in an ongoing cycle.

"How gruesome." Atlas commented." It's ironically that his first act of bravery led to this."

"Your brother is not a coward. He is the god of forethought so he just analyzed things well before acting, but I think he already proven that he could fight with tooth and nails for what he believed."

Atlas shut up. I understood that the two were like water and oil. Atlas was a bit of a muscle brain, while Prometheus was the exact opposite.

But now Atlas understood that his brother was no coward, and Prometheus would also see that centuries carrying the sky had pushed Atlas to become something more than a muscle brain.

"God of forethought, Prometheus. Would you become my subordinate?" I asked Prometheus bluntly.

"I have served faithfully as a subordinate to Zeus and what had it let too. A sole act of necessity was enough to make me deserve eternal punishment. What are you different from him?"

"Brother!" Atlas began to shout.

"Calm down, Atlas. Your brother is just doubtful. I am here to disperse his doubts."

" I could set you free."

" For me to be imprisoned again by the Olympians."

"Pay more attention to the details, that thus do not seem fitting of the Titan God of forethought."

"You are a..."

" The sky primordial yes, but I am not your father. I was born from a failed attempt at 'rebirthing' Ouranos. I call myself Ouranos II. Let me show you a small token of goodwill."

"As the primordial of the sky, I ban Zeus from ruling over the sky."

My real body was no longer on the earth, so it was a battle of will against Zeus, for me to use my advantage to gradually expel Zeus his authority over the sky. My clone helped me a lot. After thirty minutes, the eagle representing Zeus quickly fell. The eagle was a divine beast, it was not Zeus itself, but more like something close to an avatar of his.

I could tell Zeus had a large backlash, after all, he can have other divinities, but he was primally the God King of the Sky, it would be like him keeping his limps, but having his spine removed.

"Atlas, could you do the honor?"

Atlas quickly broke the chains that bond Prometheus to a rock.

" Now, that you are free, would you become my subordinate?"

"You left me with little choice and I own you now. So, yes. I am now your subordinate King Ouranos II."

"I am no king at least not yet."

.....

(Gaia POV)

Demeter's failed attempt to resurrect my husband took my last drop of patience with the Olympians. I was planning to defy sister Fate.

I, only needed to seduce Tartarus, to have some more children and it would be the death of these damn Olympians.

Ouranos II seems to have helped me without even knowing. Now that Zeus had lost his power over the sky, his power had seriously decreased and he was no longer a God King at least in power.

A ploy in the Olympus quickly took place. Hera was tired of her husband's infidelity, Athena, was tired of her father not so irrational rule, Apollo, who guarded resentment toward his father for having abandoned his mother pregnant to her own luck against Hera's fury; and Poseidon, who seemed to have nothing better to do; joined forces to overthrown Zeus.

In order to overthrow Zeus, Hera decided that she would drug Zeus and make him fall asleep.

Meanwhile, Athenas tricked Hepaethus into building chains that could imprison a powerful god.

Hephaestus was deluded that he could make Athena fall for him by giving her a masterpiece and worked his hardest creating a chain that could seal even a god-king. It was debatable if it was needed considering how weakened Zeus was.

Once asleep, the gods tied Zeus to his throne. As Zeus awoke, he was furious and began arguing with the gods who bound him to the throne.

I could feel her presence. My granddaughter Metis was still alive inside Zeus.

I took the great stone sickle, that long ago I gave Cronus to castrate his father and opened Zeus' stomach.

Metis long ago was pursued by Zeus and she became his first wife.

Metis was both a threat to Zeus and an indispensable aid. He lay with her but immediately feared the consequences.

It had been prophesied that she would bear a daughter who would be wiser than her mother, and then a son more powerful than his father, who would eventually overthrow Zeus and become king of the cosmos in his place.

In order to forestall these consequences, Zeus tricked Metis into turning herself into a fly and promptly swallowed her.

However, she was already pregnant with their first and only child, Athena. Metis crafted armor, a spear, and a shield for her daughter, whom she raised in Zeus' mind. Athena eventually used her spear and shield, banging them together to give her father a headache.

Soon, he couldn't take his headache anymore and had the smith god Hephaestus, a son of his new wife(Hera) and himself, cut his head open to let out whatever was in there on the river Trito's banks.

Athena emerged from Zeus's mind full grown, wearing the armor her mother made her.

Metis, after helping her daughter to escape, Metis's soul could only return to her weakened body and eternal torture in Zeus' stomach.

I took out Metis in her semi-digested Fly form from Zeus' stomach. I quickly teleported away, as the twelve, and eleven without Zeus; of Olympus were too busy fighting each other to notice.

I went to my deeper layer that was connected to the Underworld an extra dimension that hosted several afterlives of different Patheons, and was a sort of frontier between me and my brother Tartarus.

I did not plan to meet my brother though.
