After the opening of Yuga's new store, his life returned to its previous routine. The sales tasks of the new store were handed over to Sena, and Suzuki Koen occasionally checked on his progress.
Yuga himself continued his daily life of training Pokémon, learning about breeding knowlegde, and creating Pokéblocks.
However, there was one thing Yuga was busy with – preparing for an interview with Lilycove TV.
Although he didn't know the exact content of the interview, some preparation was needed. He made sure the store looked neater and briefed his employees on what to expect during the TV appearance.
In truth, this was Yuga's first time being in the spotlight, not only in this life but in his previous life as well. He lacked experience.
During these days, other Day Cares in Lilycove City that had been interviewed were gradually featured on TV. These were well-known Day Cares in the Hoenn region.
However, the featured Day Cares weren't the top-tier ones. According to the TV station, they wanted to provide opportunities for smaller establishments with good reputations to survive and grow.
This was the reason why Yuga's YoYo's Day Care was included in the interview list. Otherwise, a small establishment like his mixing in with big names would raise suspicions.
Before he knew it, seven days had passed since Gabby and Ty had informed Yuga about the upcoming interview. Today was the day for the YoYo's Day Care interview.
Interview opportunities were scarce in Verdanturf Town. Thus, the fact that the YoYo's Day Care was being interviewed by the biggest TV station in the Hoenn region created quite a buzz in the town. As a result, a crowd had gathered outside the Day Care.
Yuga did consider shooing them away to prevent any disruptions during the interview. However, as they were all neighbors and familiar faces, he hesitated to take such an action. He had no choice but to let them be.
The TV crew arrived punctually. They set up their cameras as soon as they got out of their vehicle and began shooting.
"Hello, everyone. I'm Gabby, a reporter from Lilycove TV. After interviewing several outstanding Day Cares, we have finally arrived at the YoYo's Day Care, a highly rated establishment online. Let's get closer and find out more about it."
The interviewer was someone familiar to Yuga – Gabby. Her partner, Ty, was in charge of filming.
As Gabby and the camera crew moved closer to the Day Care, the onlookers naturally made way for them, not wanting to interfere with their work.
Reaching the entrance of the YoYo's Day Care, Gabby said to the camera, "Look, we have arrived at the entrance of the YoYo's Day Care. It might seem like an inconspicuous small shop from the outside, but who would've thought it holds so much inside? Let's see what makes it so successful!"
Gabby led the camera crew, who were carrying their equipment, into the YoYo's Day Care.
"Wow!" Gabby exclaimed after taking a tour inside, "Who would've thought that this ordinary-looking shop from the outside would have so much hidden inside!"
In coordination with Gabby's astonishment, the camera focused on different aspects of the YoYo's Day Care.
By now, Yuga had prepared himself inside the store, waiting for Gabby and her crew to begin the interview.
Gabby approached Yuga, who was sitting by a table in the center of the store, and said to the camera filming him, "It seems this handsome young man is the owner of the YoYo's Day Care, Mr. Shimizu."
Then, addressing Yuga, she continued, "Hello, Mr. Shimizu!"
"Hello," Yuga greeted, waving at the microphone Gabby held and the camera in front of him.
"Who would've thought that at such a young age, Mr. Shimizu, you're already supporting a Day Care on your own," Gabby pretended to be surprised in front of the camera.
"I've only benefited from the legacy of my parents and ancestors," Yuga modestly replied. "Although the YoYo's Day Care might seem small in scale, it's been an old establishment for a long time."
"Really?" Gabby hadn't known this before and was quite surprised by Yuga's revelation.
"Absolutely," Yuga smiled. "I'm still young, so I'm not sure exactly when the YoYo's Day Care was founded, but my parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents all grew up here."
"I see. I never imagined that the YoYo's Day Care had such a rich history unknown to us," Gabby exclaimed.
"Well then, Mr. Shimizu, could you tell us about the unique features of the YoYo's Day Care today?" Gabby continued.
"Of course," Yuga said, clapping his hands together. Following that, a round of applause echoed, and directly in front of Yuga and the camera, three Pokémon appeared, guided by Linoone.
"Everyone, please take a look," Yuga pointed at the three Pokémon in front of him and addressed the camera, "These three Pokémon are the Ground-type Gligar and Flygon, and the Water-type Clauncher. They are currently our Day Care's flagship Pokémon. Even without much introduction from me, I believe most of you are aware that these three species are exceptionally rare."
"Indeed, these three Pokémon are extremely uncommon. The final evolution of Gligar, Gliscor, is formidable. The final evolution of Trapinch, Flygon, is a rare Dragon-type Pokémon. The Clauncher is a species found only in the Kalos region," Yuga finished, and Gabby immediately took over to provide detailed information about the three Pokémon.
After Gabby's introduction, Yuga continued, "Every month, we provide one Gligar with green potential and two Trapinchs with green potential. Additionally, every three months, we offer one Clauncher with green potential as our featured Pokémon of the month."
"Why do you have a monthly limit like this?" Gabby inquired, her brow furrowed.
Yuga explained, "The breeds we cultivate haven't been around for long, and their numbers are limited. This doesn't support large-scale external sales."
"I see," Gabby exclaimed, a sudden realization dawning upon her.
"It's not just our YoYo's Day Care; I believe other Day Cares also can't mass-produce high-potential Pokémon for the market. Reality doesn't allow it, as the breeding rate of Pokémon can never catch up with customer demand. This is why high-potential Pokémon always come wituju high prices," Yuga continued.
Listening to Yuga's explanation, Gabby nodded in agreement and said, "Indeed, that's true. We've interviewed many Day Cares, and they're all similar. Their sales models are just a bit different from YoYo's Day Care. They pair low-potential Pokémon with the higher ones to avoid standing out like your establishment."
Hearing Gabby's words, Yuga took the opportunity to promote his new store.
"YoYo's Day Care has also changed its business model. We recently opened a new store where, in addition to the monthly limited high-potential Pokémon, even lower-tier Pokémon are available for purchase anytime."
Surprised, Gabby pretended, "Really? That's great news for all Pokémon enthusiasts."
Of course, Gabby had known about Yuga's new store long before, but she played along for the show's effect.
"Furthermore, our Day Care has introduced unique Pokéblocks, which have received praise from all our customers as soon as they were introduced."
With that, Yuga guided Gabby and her crew to the counter where the Pokéblocks were displayed and explained the details to them.
"I've heard that you recently discontinued a very popular Grass-type Pokéblock. Could you tell us why?" Gabby asked, a question that many customers were curious about.
"This delves into the business secrets of our Day Care, which I'm afraid I can't share with everyone," Yuga chuckled, smoothly deflecting the question.
The entire interview lasted quite a while and covered numerous details, but the process went smoothly.
Later, Yuga also took them to visit his new store and introduced them to his employees, among other things.
