Dock No. 1,
This place is also known as the "Noble Pier" because only the ships of influential factory owners and wealthy merchants can dock here.
In the distance, the cries of seagulls mixed with the sounds of the sea create a natural and ethereal ambiance.
However, these natural sounds are currently overshadowed. Near the white breakwater that stretches into the sea, a magnificent giant sailboat is docked.
Though it has many cannons, it is indeed more suited to being a "yacht" than a "warship."
Money Number,
With a name that's ridiculously low, no one dares to voice any opinions about it.
Because its owner is "Big Bills" Thompson!
Over a decade ago, Thompson was known as the "Bald Bug." But anyone who dared utter that nickname has now disappeared without a trace.
"Mr. Thompson, my father sends his regards."
"Yes,"
"Mr. Thompson, I am the chairman of the Shanjins Trading Company—"
"Have a seat,"
"Mr. Thompson, I have a shipment of 'goods' from the East Blue—"
A portly middle-aged man raised his chin slightly, and immediately someone escorted the slave trader who wanted to curry favor with him away.
···
Centered around the portly, balding middle-aged man on the deck of the "Money Number," the crowd was offering greetings, flattery, and toasts.
Indeed, a banquet was being held on the deck: succulent sea king meat, fine wine from the West Blue, fruits from the East Blue... everything was available.
Those present were all "upper class" individuals.
They formed circles, whispered to each other, and then exchanged "elegant" fake smiles. Various business deals, ranging from "million berries" to "ten million berries," were sealed in these conversations.
"···Is this the power that controls the entirety of Spadeamira?"
Wisk watched from a corner, wearing golden-rimmed glasses, taking in everything before him.
The massive luxury sailboat, the extravagant banquet on the deck, fine wine, music, food, and men and women dressed in expensive clothes and jewelry—everything suggested the flow of money.
Money translated into the power to control all things. The scent of alcohol, perfume, sweat, and tobacco mixed together and penetrated his eyes and nostrils, making it impossible for him to resist.
Someday, I will have all of this too!
Glancing briefly at Thompson, who was surrounded by the crowd, the successful businessman motivated himself in secret.
"Mr. Wisk, please be cautious with your food."
Beside him, '8674' from the Jerma 66 security company, wearing sunglasses and a suit, stood with his feet in an open stance and hands behind his back. If he didn't speak, he almost seemed like a decorative background.
"Due to our side's influence, the Jeidei family won't openly target you. But if they poison your food..."
In that case, no matter how powerful '8674' was, it wouldn't matter.
"I understand,"
Wisk nodded, holding a wine glass in his hand but not taking a sip.
Today, everyone has gathered here because some "short-sighted" individuals conspired with the local "Four-Suit Family" to challenge the authority of the Jeidei family.
And now, according to the intelligence that had been transmitted back, those individuals who escaped to the sea have already been captured by the combined efforts of the Spadeamira warships, the Gear Number and the Lever Number. They're being brought back to be dealt with by Mr. Thompson.
It seems the journey of those two brothers has come to an end.
That's good. Once the satisfied Jeidei family no longer holds a grudge against him, he can dissolve the exorbitant contract with Germa 66.
However, it's a pity...
Wisk sighed inwardly, not even sure himself what he was regretting.
"They're here,"
With someone's remark, a quiet voice that nonetheless caused the entire deck to fall silent, both men and women turned to face the direction of the sea.
Three dots appeared in everyone's vision.
Soon, the dots turned into masts, then sails, and shortly after, the hulls of the ships—
Two warships and an armed merchant ship "jumped out" from the sea level and rapidly approached the port.
It didn't take long for the people on the deck to distinguish the "Gear Number" and the "Lever Number" ahead.
These two warships, along with another ship, the "Bearing Number," comprised Spadeamira's maritime defense force.
"Look, the Lever Number is emitting smoke."
"Oh, beautiful Gear Number, who has been so cruel to you?"
As the ships drew closer, the people on the deck could even clearly see that all three ships were battered: the pristine white sails were covered in black soot, the sides of the ship had blast marks from cannon fire, clearly having endured a fierce battle.
"Is the damaged armed merchant ship behind them the thugs who dared to provoke the Jeidei family? Truly formidable—"
Amid the watchful gaze of many well-dressed men and elegantly dressed ladies, the Gear Number and Lever Number approached from the left and right, while the heavily damaged armed merchant ship slowed down as it approached the "Money Number."
When the armed merchant ship approached the Money Number, it had already slowed down to a negligible speed, a testament to the exceptional piloting skills of the one steering it.
"So, Captain Freyd is at the helm. What elegant skills."
Amid the gaze of the high society crowd, Captain Freyd waved his hand, and immediately sailors set up a gangway between the two ships.
Soon after, several sailors pushed the three individuals in shackles along the gangway: due to the significant height difference between the Money Number and the Flat Tower Number, the gentlemen and ladies on top could clearly see these three people.
"This..."
"Two children?"
What on earth? The ones who managed to humiliate the Jeidei family were not the towering, massive beings who were three meters tall and had large, round waists. Instead, they were two boys who didn't even look ten years old. Was this a joke?
"The lanky one over there seems like Torreboru from the Four-Suit Family, but..."
Someone who recognized Torreboru spoke in puzzlement. Although it was the same face, why did he suddenly look so thin?
"What about the other members of the Four-Suit Family?"
"Who knows? Maybe they were taken care of—"
In the perplexed gazes of the onlookers, the three individuals were brought onto the deck.
Faced with the inquisitive, curious, and doubtful gazes from all sides, the three individuals with shackles remained remarkably calm, giving the "upper-class individuals" on the deck a sense of certainty.
They were experts!
Unfortunately, with shackles on, even experts would have to obediently kneel before their money and influence.
"Just these two little brats,"
In the center of the deck, Vincento, armed to the teeth even while attending the party, crossed his arms, his muscle-laden face showing nothing but disdain.
"Did Queen's Prissy really die at their hands, pretending to be so sophisticated?"
"Don't underestimate the 'geniuses' of this world,"
Paul, wearing a floral necktie, adjusted his scarf and looked at the two of them.
"—Mr. Thompson,"
"Have those individuals who dared to oppose our family crawl over here!"
With Thompson's command, several family toughs armed with knives and guns immediately stepped forward, approaching maliciously from both sides towards Rosinante, Doflamingo, and Torreboru.
"Kneel!"
The leader of the toughs shouted angrily, yet the three individuals with shackles on their wrists remained motionless, making the leader of the toughs feel embarrassed.
Damn it, you've become prisoners, yet you dare to act tough?!
Raising his long flintlock pistol, he suddenly smashed it towards the knee of the blond boy who wasn't wearing sunglasses!
Hmph, if it weren't for the boss's orders to have you 'crawl over,' I would have definitely smashed your handsome face first—
Whoosh,
Boom!!
The next moment, the thug leader who had just turned to give Rosinante a blow to the face was suddenly struck on the cheek by a heavy blow.
With a loud bang, the thug leader was sent flying off the ground, his entire body spinning two or three times in the air, crashing through a nearby dining table and flying out.
Rolling and tumbling along the way, who knows how many things he crashed into. When he finally came to a stop, half of his face was a mess of flesh and blood, white teeth mixed with blood falling out. He lay on the ground convulsing.
"Ah ah ah ah~~!!"
"Murder, it's murder———"
In the chaotic uproar around, the gentlemen and ladies who had just been so "dignified" were screaming and retreating. Like a tide suddenly scattering, they were in such a panic that it seemed as if an anthill had been poured with boiling water.
"Sorry, my knee is too tough."
Swinging the shackles and sending the thug leader who tried to make him kneel flying, Rosinante lifted his head, his cracked lips revealing two rows of gleaming white teeth.
Looking past the chaotic upper-class individuals, past the thugs drawing their weapons in panic, and past half of the deck, his gaze fell on "Big Money" Thompson.
Boom!
With a push of his foot, Rosinante threw off the shackles, pulled out the hidden dagger behind him, and suddenly charged towards his target.
"Back, back, back!!!"
The surrounding crowd scattered in horror. From above, it looked as if a swordfish was cutting through the surface of the sea!
"Hahaha—"
Amid his maniacal laughter, Rosinante's gaze met Thompson's widened eyes, as if saying:
I'm coming to kill you!!
