Her heart was beating rapidly inside her chest. It was happy to be with Yuito and it enjoyed the myriad of warm emotions that always filled it when she was with him.
The grass was softer with him.
The air was fresher with him.
The sun was warmer with him.
The day was better with him,
He made everything better. She loved every moment of the passing days she got to enjoy with Yuito. Every second was precious and would surely occupy an important place in her house of memories.
But maybe it was wrong for her to be happy.
"Hey Komi, do you remember what happed, between you and me?"

Her heart crawled to a complete stop inside her chest and froze there. She remembered exactly what he was talking about.
But why would you bring that up? Maybe if she acted hesitant and uncomfortable he would drop the subject.
So she looked down and stayed quiet. She might also happen to blush when she really thought about it.
"It was when Marin fell sick."
Okay, doesn't seem like he would drop the subject. He didn't even need to specify it like that, she knew.
She remembered. She remembered so vividly that it was almost embarrassing.
She thought back on those moments a lot, every day, every night. How could she not? It was probably the greatest thing that happened to her.
The most precious time for her.
The time when Yuito was hers. A moment in time, a fraction of a day but no matter how small it was, she got to taste what it was like to be loved by him.
So yes, she remembered.
"I know." She said with a small voice.
She was afraid of what was about to happen. No, she was absolutely terrified. But things rarely go right for the perfect girl.
"I need you to know my true feelings on what happened that day."
'I don't want to know.' she begged in her mind. Because she already had a clue about what was going to come next.
An apology.
An apology for what happened that day.
Because the truth is, what Komi considered to be the most precious moment, Yuito considered it to be the greatest mistake.
The time Komi recalled fondly with a smile on her face, Yuito recalled that time with regret and sorrow.
It was heartbreaking. She didn't want to believe it.
Her precious moment, his greatest mistake.
It was cruel how much perspective can change. She would've loved it if Yuito did not regret it that much but from what he was doing now, she could tell that he regrets his action.
"I don't think I even had the chance to say it at the time but I want you to know." Yuito said solemnly.
'Please don't say it.' she screamed in her mind.
An apology would solidify everything. It would confirm that what happened was indeed a mistake.
That moment when everything started, It was the start of her battle for love. So everything she had done for her love, would crumble.
Her love would be a mistake.
She wished he would just be a bastard and never apologize. If he did so, she could just delude herself all her life and forever believe that what happened between them meant something.
"I am not sorry for what I did." He said and Komi cried.
She hung her head as low as possible and looked away. She did not want him to see her cry.

'Wait.' She did a double take and turned towards him. She was shocked and doubtful of what she just heard.
"I am not sorry for what happened between us." He said again and smiled.
Her eyes shone with the light of a million galaxies when she heard that.
'it was not a mistake.'
"I know I should not feel this way but, I like you Komi. I don't want you to be with anyone else."
Her heart pulsated inside her and an overwhelming amount of joy flooded out, destroying everything that was solid in her. She literally melted in those sentences.
'You can't take it back!!' She screamed in her mind and she imagined herself, plucking those words - I like you komi - from the air and putting them away in her heart.
She did not care for anything else except Yuito liked her.
Operation : MYFFMWTPOH was a success.
She was too happy, the emotions and affections wanted to release. So she jumped in his arms and gave him a big kiss on his lips.
Her first kiss.
Their first kiss.
Everything was broken. She gave everything away for the love of her life and this moment.
She did not even feel a shred of guilt at that moment, no shame, no morals. no nothing. Only love for him.
She traded the world for her love.
And it was not a mistake.

She pulled back after the kiss. She was worried at first, maybe she was caught in the moment and did something weird.
'I shouldn't have kissed her.'
But Yutio was just smiling at her.
"I don't regret what happened between us."
"I don't regret meeting you, I don't regret being friends with you.." He said and put his hand on her cheek.
His purple eyes locked with hers and they spoke his feelings. It was too much that Komi nearly smothered away.
"And I know I won't regret this either." He said and leaned forward.
He kissed her.
Komi was stuck in that moment.
Finally, she was not the only one loving. He loved her back.
Happiness which could never be described with words floods her mind.
Now the love she had for him changed. She could feel it, it evolved into something more than an unrequited love.
Her love was received gladly and reciprocated.
The love of one person and the love shared between two people were quite different.
And like a dumbass, Komi fell harder in love, for a second time.
