章節 121: Marin was angry

"Is she the one?" Marin asked in a strange voice.

"What?"

"Answer me. Is she the one? The other girl you had in your life besides me." She asked me, her voice was strained, ready for disappointment but also still had a hopeful edge.

I recalled about the time when Marin confronted me about this. It was the time when we confirmed what we were to each other. At that time she thought I was still in a long-distance relationship with Chifuyu.

I had told her that I was indeed single but she got confirmation to her suspicion that I was in love with someone else besides her but we were not together.

It was then that we finally became an official couple. But Marin was aware that there was another girl besides her, she claimed that she would steal me away from her eventually and make me fully her's.

So when she asked me if, 'she is the one?' I would assume that she was talking about the other girl I loved beside her.

Indeed, Sumire was a woman I was in love with.

"Yeah." I said and I saw Marin's hopeful expression crack into a million pieces. It was sad to see really, she must've been disappointed that I was in love with my own mother.

Then she grabbed her hair and screamed, "FUUUCKKKK!!!!"

Oh, it's pretty serious, I have never heard her curse before. I hung my head a little lower than it already was.

Yeah, I didn't care if society or complete stranger judged me but being judged like this by the person you love hurts in a different way.

Marin immediately covered her mouth to stop herself from cussing another unholy word. But I could see her seethe in frustration.

Usually, she would hide her emotions with a perfect smile and would be vivacious around me, but it seemed the situation was too much for her to be able to control herself.

Marin's knee buckled and she knelt on the ground as she covered her face with her hand. She was shaking so I knelt down beside her but I was hesitant to touch her.

She might be disgusted by me. And to be honest, I felt a bit ashamed of myself.

People wouldn't understand since they didn't know I was reincarnated so they wouldn't understand and judge me harsher. But nonetheless, I never regretted loving Sumire, she was one of the best things that had happened to me.

"It's not fair." She said softly in her hands. I could see tears pooling at the side of her eyes.

I raised my hand to touch her but I hesitated more than a few times. At one point Marin showed her face to me again.

"Hey Yuito, do you love me?" She asked me in a rather pitiful tone.

I paused and let her words sink in my heart while my mind worked faster than a supercar to analyze why she said such a thing so randomly.

I could only come up with a conclusion on what she would say next, 'Would you stop this disgusting relationship with your mother for me then?' or 'Please if you love me, stop this madness.'

It was a wonder how I would answer if she asked such questions. I wouldn't really know if I was not asked for real because I was afraid to answer it.

But still, I let my heart lead my mind in a situation like this, "Yes. I love you Marin."

Marin passed as she took in my sincere words. There was no lie, I love the blonde, extroverted waifu in front of me.

Then her expression fixed itself and gained their positive and determined crease. I was waiting for the question 'If you love me, would you stop this thing with your mother.' but it never came.

What came was a pair of soft and supple lips that kissed with all the sincerity and love in the world.

[3rd POV]

Marin was not just angry.

She was livid.

She had never felt more frustrated in her life. It felt like everything she had dreamed had hoped for was crumbling right before her eyes.

Because the other woman in Yuito's heart, the one Marin said she would steal Yuito from, was his own biological mother. The one who gave birth to him, the one who feeds him, the one who raised him.

She gritted her teeth and cursed out loud, "FUUUUCCCK!!!". Then she fell on her knees and grab her locks of hair in frustration.

Does anyone even realize how devastating this was for Marin?

..

..

How the hell was she going to steal him away from her!!!!!

His own mother? Wasn't that too unfair? Was that not too tragic for Marin who dreamed of having Yuito all to herself one day?

How was she going to do that? Her chances had significantly lowered with this new information.

'Hacks!!! I call hacks!!! This is too unfair!!' She screamed in her mind as tears pooled up in frustration.

How was she going to get him to love her more than his own mother? Marin thought she was making progress and slowly stealing more parts of his heart.

But that bitch had a whole 16 years head start and had been with him in his most innocent and vulnerable days.

Marin felt like she stood no chance against such odds. She did not like it at all.

It was fine when she thought they were just normal mother and son but now that she knew there was more romance to that relationship, Marin couldn't help but get intimated.

How much love would have developed between them? It was always a question of who a husband loves more, his mother or his own wife. But the woman, Sumire had both love with her.

How was Marin going to compete with that?

"It's not fair."

She definitely did not want to be number two in his heart until his mother eventually passed. She wanted to be number 1 in his heart, just like he was in her heart.

She stayed still on the floor as her mind despaired at the thought. The other girl also had Yuito's heart, the one Marin declared was her rival. Now she learned that her opponent had such an advantage.

It felt like playing COD with a hacker with a bot aim. Absolutely unfair.

Why wasn't she Yuito's mother?

'It should've been me!! Not her!'

..

..

After the initial shock and despair finally faded, Marin got a hold of herself. She couldn't give up, she wouldn't go down like this.

She would fight for her love. This love was a war she was willing to fight for till the end of her life.

On second thought, although Sumire had a huge advantage over her, the woman had a disadvantage as well.

Like Marin could marry Yuito and she could not. Marin could bear him a child but she could not.

Her mind raced with all those facts and realized that it was actually not that bad. She had a chance to win, win over Yuito's whole heart.

So she looked up at him and asked, "Hey Yuiot, do you love me?"

Her hope returned when his sincere reply vibrated off his lips, "Yes, I love you Marin."

His honest words and silly smooth voice reignited the fighting spirit in her heart.

Yeah, she was not giving up.

She leaped at him and took his lips. She kissed him as lovely and as tenderly as she possibly could.

She will take the number one spot in his heart. His love was an addiction to her, a competition she would make sure to win.

She pulled back as a trail of saliva connected her lips. She looked at his flushed and shocked face and couldn't stop her lips from spreading to a smile.

"Wha?" He asked dumbly, utterly confused.

Marin stared at his face before she realized the other important thing she forgot to address in her emotional moment.

The whole doujinshi-type incest going on in the household.

Honestly, Marin was not EXTREMELY bothered about it as she had always been the type of girl who respected other's love and passion, be it love for doll making, romantic love, a weird fetish or something

She was never repulsed by people showing their true love towards literally anything. If you love another person of the same gender or if you love non-living waifu and marry her etc.

As long as your feelings are true, honest, and genuine, Marin will not judge you wrongly.

The same thing applies to the situation. Sure she was a bit weirded out, but she was not repulsed or anything. She has read worse things and heard of worse things.

And it had to be understood that incest was not too frowned upon culturally in Japan like other cultures. Even cousin marriage legal until not too long ago and was still not rejected socially. Not to mention nonblood relationships like step sisters were still legal.

And even biological incest has been seen. A man would sometimes marry his own daughter after his wife passed in Japan.

So it was not judged as harshly by society as it would've been in other parts of the world. It was also the reason why incest was popular in Japanese media.

But it was still weird and out of the norm in this day of age though.

And judging by Yuito's nervous look, it seemed he thought it was extremely serious as well. He almost looks like he killed a person or two.

Marin smiled, the urge to tease him and act repulsed appeared in her mind. She felt like teasing and torturing him, acting like she had seriously been affected by the whole thing.

"Please say something." Yuito said, his usually firm and strong voice was gone. It was instead nervous but also ready to face anything.

'Nah, he is too cute to tease him like that. I can't bring myself to do it.'

In the end, Marin felt good knowing that she was aware of something that was probably Yuito's biggest secret.

She felt a bit more involved in his life and she got to learn a new side of Yuito she never did before.

Maybe this would bring them closer, who knows.
