In MacDough's initial plan, the book he was writing consisted of three parts, and the parchment he just took out was the second draft.

Albert pulled out a few sheets from that stack of parchment and began reading them carefully. He also used the quill to help fix any loopholes in the text, occasionally discussing potential issues with the two of them.

Undoubtedly, Izebell was the most frustrated person here because she couldn't understand anything and couldn't join in the conversation.

She could only stay by the side, helping to organize some things or flipping through the parchment, trying to decipher its contents.

"How did this guy learn ancient magical scripts?" Izebell muttered under her breath.

"Well, he's better than Moog when it comes to reading and understanding," Professor Brode nodded. "At his current level, in a few years, he may surpass 99% of the wizards in ancient magical scripts. After he comes of age, I will recommend him to publish a book about ancient magical scripts."

Izebell opened her mouth but swallowed back the words she was about to say.

"Don't compare yourself to him. Sometimes there are geniuses like this that are truly incredible," MacDough nodded. "Wouldn't you agree, Mr. Albert?"

"Writing a book? I'll consider it after I graduate from Hogwarts. I don't have any immediate plans in that regard," Albert said, although he was actually seriously considering whether he should write a beginner's guidebook. There was already a book like "An Easy Introduction to Ancient Magical Scripts," but for Albert, it didn't feel easy at all after reading it.

He could create a simplified version of ancient magical scripts based on the knowledge he gained while upgrading the scripts, just like Miranda's Standard Spells.

Izebell's facial muscles twitched upon hearing this. In fact, she wanted to say that Albert was bragging, but considering his proficiency in magical scripts, it was actually possible.

The group kept busy until the afternoon, having lunch in the office. The house-elf brought them a sumptuous meal.

After finishing their meal, they sat on the couch and discussed the contents of the manuscript.

By now, Albert had understood MacDough's idea. The plan was to first create a book that was difficult for others to understand, and then write several companion books to help interpret the main book.

As for Izebell, she had quietly slipped away after lunch. It was fortunate that she managed to endure for so long before finding an excuse to leave.

After all, the three people in the office had no intention of having a proper conversation. They directly communicated in ancient magical scripts, leaving Izebell utterly confused, unable to understand what they were talking about.

"Izebell left, huh?" Professor Brode suddenly said. "She managed to endure even longer than I expected!"

Albert didn't feel like talking and continued to bury his head, helping MacDough find any issues.

"If she wants to understand and participate, she definitely needs to improve her proficiency in ancient magical scripts," MacDough whispered. "Izebell does need some stimulation."

"Stimulation?" Albert's mouth twitched slightly as he changed the topic. "I feel like I still can't grasp that threshold. It feels like something is missing, but I'm not sure what."

"Don't worry, once we finish writing this book, I believe you will be able to grasp its secrets," MacDough assured him.

"I hope so," Albert sighed softly, took out his pocket watch to check the time—it was almost three-thirty in the afternoon. "I have to go now; I have Apparition class."

"I think you're wasting your time," Professor Brode shook his head. "Apparition is still too early for you at this point."

"Listen and learn, it will be useful eventually!"

As Albert prepared to leave, MacDough called out to him.

"What's the matter, Mr. MacDough?" Albert stopped in his tracks and turned to ask.

MacDough handed a small black notebook to Albert and whispered, "I believe this journal will be helpful to you."

"Thank you." Albert stuffed the notebook into his pocket and left the office.

"You seem to have high hopes for him too," Professor Brode smiled at his old friend. "Is he turning out to be more suitable than expected?"

"It's indeed a pleasantly surprising talent with a good personality," MacDough nodded. "But it's still too early to say these things. Let's focus on other matters and discuss them after he comes of age!"

Albert was oblivious to the brief conversation between the two. He was on his way to the Great Hall, where Professor Toacroth was waving his wand, conjuring old-fashioned wooden hoops for each student.

Quietly, Albert leaned against a corner, not disturbing anyone, and listened attentively to the lecture.

"The three Ds are crucial in Apparition," Toacroth emphasized once again the importance of determination, destination, and deliberation. Before every practice, he always mentioned them.

"Now, focus your attention on your destination..."

"Determined to occupy the space you desire," Albert murmured to himself. "Enter the void state and move with calmness."

Albert always wanted to try it himself, even if he ended up being split. It didn't matter much—maybe Professor McGonagall would scold him and deduct a few points. If he could master the skill of Apparition through this, it would be well worth it.

Because of their previous experiences, everyone stared intently at the wooden hoops and quickly followed Toacroth's instructions.

"One... two... three..."

The distinctive "pop" sound of Apparition echoed in the hall.

Only a few succeeded, but their landing positions were not quite accurate, and some lost certain body parts, like a piece of a fingernail or a few strands of hair.

Of course, more people simply spun in place and fell to the ground, amusing the other onlookers.

And there was one unfortunate soul who ended up being split.

A Hufflepuff boy was suspended mid-air, his lower body appearing just a few feet in front of Albert.

The heads of houses immediately gathered around him, and with a loud bang and a burst of purple smoke, the boy's body was restored.

While the heads of houses and others focused their attention on the Hufflepuff student, Albert also started attempting Apparition. His target was an empty spot a few meters away.

Without spinning, Albert focused his attention on the target, imagining himself appearing there and entering the void state.

There was no "pop" sound this time. Albert remained still, knowing that he had failed.

However, Albert didn't mind because he understood that failure was a normal part of the process. No one could succeed in a single attempt.

Without the help of panels, he didn't expect to succeed either.

He sneakily glanced at the skill panel and still didn't find Apparition, which left Albert feeling a bit frustrated, although it was within his expectations.

"Wait, maybe this could work!" Albert suddenly remembered a bold idea. If he could personally experience Apparition, maybe the skill panel would appear.

"It's worth a try, but I wonder who would be willing to help me," Albert muttered softly. Although the chances were not high, he was prepared to give it a shot.

He immediately turned and headed towards the Dark Arts Defense office.
