"Sigh, when will these days end?"

Trebol hurried forward, sighing heavily.

"Huh? Why has it suddenly gone quiet?"

As he approached the port, Trebol sensed something was off.

The boastful 'rookies' who were usually loud with laughter and chatter could be heard from afar.

Some would smash whatever they saw, forcing the family to allocate funds to cover the damages.

But what about today?

Why has it suddenly become so quiet?

Could it be that these new pirates prefer a low-key and elegant style?

But names like the Giant Shark Pirates and 'Shark Arm' Eddy don't seem to suggest a low-profile approach.

"Whatever, I'll see for myself."

Without overthinking, Trebol finally entered the port area, and immediately recognized a familiar face.

"Abel?! And Baby-5? What are you two doing here?"

"So that's it. I was wondering why it was so quiet here with pirates around. You've taken care of them, haven't you?"

At that moment, Abel was sitting atop a 'mountain' formed by the members of the Giant Shark Pirates, with 'Shark Arm' Eddy's torso in hand.

This so-called 'Shark Arm' Eddy was nothing more than an ordinary man with two fearsome sharks tattooed on his arms.

He wasn't even a Devil Fruit user, and to think he dared to cause trouble on the Grand Line with such mediocre skills?

Abel seriously doubted the man's sanity.

"Hello, it's been a while, Trebol. This is a gift for you, no need to thank me."

Abel leaped down from the pile of bodies and casually tossed 'Shark Arm' Eddy's torso to the ground as if he had just squashed an ant.

"Heh heh heh, what brings you here? Did the young master send you?!"

Considering a possibility, Trebol suddenly perked up, eagerness in his eyes.

Abel wasn't in the mood to tease a messy uncle, and simply nodded, "You've always been complaining to Captain Doflamingo. He's grown tired of listening, and the other executives are busy, so since I had some free time, I came over. Same with Baby-5."

"That's wonderful! I've been driven crazy by these reckless 'rookie' pirates."

"Come with me, I've arranged some food for you."

"Great, I've worked up an appetite and I could really eat a lot!"

"No problem, I'll make sure you have your fill!"

"Let's make it fancy. By the way, didn't Captain Doflamingo tell you that I was coming to support you?"

"Eh, maybe he wanted to surprise me."

"Sure it's not because he's tired of your complaints?"

"."

Trebol stiffened, then continued, "I'm one of the highest ranked officers in the family, why would Doflamingo tire of me?"

"Heh heh."

"You don't believe me?"

"I do, I do."

"For some reason, your answers have been pretty irritating since a while back."

"That's probably because you didn't sleep well last night; those dark circles are as bad as being punched in the face twice."

"Cough... As I was saying, I am one of the highest ranked officers."

"Oh, what about it?"

"Can I get some respect?"

"Sure, should I leave then?"

"Where are you going?!"

"Back to the North Blue."

"Don't! It's just a joke, why so tense? Come on, let's try some of the local delicacies; I guarantee they're things you can't find in the North Blue."

"Maybe we should find someone who respects the top executive a bit more."

"Psh, respect or no respect, an executive is still an executive, all the same. Plus, didn't Doflamingo grant you authority equivalent to that of a top executive? I bet sooner or later you'll become the family's fifth top executive."

"You flatter me, Lord Trebol, always saying such nice things."

"Why are you still calling me 'Lord'? That's too formal; we are 'family' after all. Just call me by my name."

"Is that really okay?"

"What's not okay about it? Listen to me, let's stay here today."

It was unclear what had happened to Trebol during this time, but he seemed to have abandoned the dignity of a top executive, insistently dragging them to the family's residence.

The island's castle had already been built, though its center of gravity hadn't shifted there yet, and for the time being, it was only inhabited by Trebol and a group of servants.

Now, Abel and Baby-5 were added to the mix.

As for 'Shark Arm' Eddy, his head wouldn't go to waste; it could be exchanged for bounty at a marine base.

After reaching the Grand Line, Trebol continued his old routine of dealing with both the underworld and the law, which often led to dealings with marines who couldn't resist temptation.

Many pieces of secret information came unintentionally from these marines.

Normally, Trebol used money and women to maintain these relationships.

Exchanging the heads of wanted pirates for bounties was particularly easy; the most one had to do was pay a 'handling fee.'

Trebol once considered turning 'pirate hunting' into a business.

However, upon discovering that the Baroque Works was already engaged in this trade, and that the mastermind behind it was one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, Crocodile, he and Doflamingo agreed there was no need to compete with Crocodile for such small change.

But for those like the recently encountered fool who delivered themselves to his doorstep, nobody could stop Trebol.

During their meal, Trebol didn't hold back, sharing all sorts of information, including intelligence about the first half of the Grand Line, with Abel.

He urgently needed someone to help share the workload, fearing he'd otherwise work himself to death.

Abel, stuffing his face with food, listened intently to the current situation as explained by Trebol.

Overall, the dangers of the first half of the Grand Line were real but controlled.

A few key dangers stood out: Crocodile, the covert boss of Baroque Works who was lurking in Alabasta; the two giant warriors from Elbaf, Dorry and Broggy, in Little Garden; and Enel in Skypiea.

Abel made mental notes. As for places like Amazon Lily within the Calm Belt and Enies Lobby, he was unlikely to visit, so he ignored them for now.

And then...

Suddenly, there seemed to be no more threats to his presence.

At this point in time, even Moriah was wandering somewhere, yet to sail his horrific three-masted ghost ship into the Florian Triangle and establish his zombie army.

So, as long as he wasn't extraordinarily unlucky and encountered some brooding swordsman on a small boat, he should be free to level up as much as he wanted.
