What are your people planning to do? Where did your leader disappear to?" General Arion inquired, his voice echoing through the eerie silence that hung over the aftermath of the battle.
-"Ha ha ha! The injured vampire laughed out loud, a sinister grin on his face, and added, "You think this battle is over? No! This is just the beginning. You left your children to hunt, and now your target will prey on your children."
This ominous declaration sent shivers down the spines of those who heard it. The vampire's words seemed to carry a dark weight, hinting at a deeper and more sinister scheme that was yet to unfold.
Before anyone could react, the vampire, with an eerie calmness, reached for a dagger and, with a swift and deliberate motion, stabbed himself through the heart.
As the realization of what had just occurred settled in, the vampire's body began to disintegrate, turning to ash before their eyes. It was a shocking sight, even for battle-hardened soldiers like General Arion and his men.
"What did he mean by we left our children to go hunt, and now our target will prey on our children?" General Arion murmured, his brow furrowed with confusion and concern. His mind raced, trying to decipher the cryptic warning the vampire had delivered in his final moments.
As the soldiers gathered around the dissipating ashes of the vampire, a sense of urgency and responsibility enveloped them. General Arion knew they couldn't afford to take the warning lightly.
Just then one of the soldiers voiced out bringing both General Arion and the rest of the army to realization. "The students!"
Back at the school in Room 213, Jacob stood by the window, gazing out at the tranquil scene lost in his own thoughts about the battle.
Suddenly, a faint rustling noise caught his attention, and he strained his ears to listen. It was distant, but growing closer. Panic rising within him, he turned to his roommates Adam and Ray, who were getting ready for bed.
"Hey, did anyone hear that?" Jacob whispered urgently. "It sounds like something's out there."
Adam, who was busy organizing his study materials, paused and listened intently. "I don't hear anything," he said, shaking his head. "You're probably just imagining things, Jacob."
Before Alex could respond, the faint noise grew louder, and the unmistakable sound of metal clashing against metal echoed through the night. The roommate's faces paled as they exchanged worried glances.
"It's not my imagination!" Alex insisted, his heart pounding. "We should warn the others."
As if on cue, the dormitory's intercom crackled to life, and a voice boomed through the speakers, filling the room with urgency. "Attention all students, this is not a drill. We are under attack. Seek shelter immediately and lock your doors. I repeat, seek shelter immediately and lock your doors."
Their hearts raced as they sprang into action. They secured their room and gathered near the door, wondering what was happening outside those thick, fortified walls.
As they peered through the window's reinforced bars, the once serene courtyard had turned into a scene of chaos. Figures darted through the shadows, their movements unnatural and swift. The moonlight revealed elongated fangs glinting in the darkness. Vampires.
Outside the school gates, the guards bravely fought to protect the academy, but they were outnumbered and outmatched. The vampires moved with deadly precision, tearing through the guards like a pack of wolves descending on their prey.
Jacob and his friends watched in horror as the invaders breached the walls, scaling them with their super agility. Panic surged through their veins as they realized that their once-safe haven was now compromised.
Suddenly, the dormitory's loud alarm blared, filling the air with a piercing wail. The students exchanged fearful glances, knowing that this would alert the academy staff and their fellow students. But would it be enough to stop the relentless onslaught of the vampires?
"We need to find a way to defend ourselves," Jacob declared, his voice quivering but resolute. "There must be weapons or something we can use."
They began to search the room, looking for anything that could be used as a makeshift weapon. They found sturdy rulers, metal bookends, and even a couple of ceremonial swords displayed on a nearby shelf.
"This won't be enough those are vampires, we need better weapons," Adam stated as he came to a realization. "I have an idea, the weapon hall. But how do we get there past all these vampires?"
"We'll have to be resourceful and work together," Ray said, his eyes filled with determination. "Stay close, and don't let anyone wander off alone."
As they prepared to leave the room and head to the weapon hall, they could hear the sound of approaching footsteps in the hallway. The vampires were getting closer. Fear gripped their hearts, but they knew they had to stand their ground.
"Oh shi**! They are already here, we need to think of a new plan fast," Jacob suggested.
The door rattled as the vampires attempted to force their way in. Jacob and his friends pushed back with all their might, using the furniture to barricade the entrance. But they knew it wouldn't hold for long.
In the midst of the chaos, Adam caught sight of an emergency panel on the wall. "Maybe we can trigger the sprinkler system," he suggested. "The vampires might be vulnerable to water."
The others nodded in agreement, and they rushed to activate the sprinkler system. As the water cascaded down, the vampires outside hissed and recoiled, their inhuman features contorting in discomfort.
"It's working!" Ray exclaimed, a glimmer of hope in his eyes.
The water may not have been enough to defeat the vampires completely, but it bought them precious moments to think and strategize.
They huddled together, devising a plan to escape their dormitory, head to the weapon hall, and regroup with other students. Despite the fear that threatened to overwhelm them, they knew they had to stay strong and face the horrors outside.
